I really like the 8kW Sunsynk inverter, but mine got damaged by lightning a while ago. The repair center in Johannesburg took a month to fix it, but it came back still not working properly... So I'm getting a bit worried about future service and support... It's now been over 2 months. Disappointing
Good after noon Joel and Keith I am a end user of the Sunsynk system in SA. As we having continous electricity black outs due to ageing Eskom infrastructure i decided to switch to a Sunsynk hybrid grid tied solar system System details" Inverter Sunsynk 8.8 kva inverter 2 X 5.5 Hubble lithium batteries 12 X 460 watt canadian solar panels I had a solarman stick logger model LSW -3 which was initially fitted by my installer but he did not connect it .I contacted him re connecting the solar man logger but he said it was complicated. So i decided to connected it myself as an end user on my Laptop following the manual and it worked basic but stable and the readings fo the key info such as SOC,Solar panel charging rate for solar array 1 and solar array 2 was always synchronised with the the inverter readings. I then was able to connect it to my android samsung a12 smart phone. However as it was basic in terms of info , my installer said if i sent it back to him he would swop it out for the Sunsynk logger DB9 serial no e470121b5621 which was a better logger . He said as an installer he would load it and include me as a end user but for some reason he could not log on to my network I installed it and once again i had to load it on my laptop to get it all connected. Then on my phone. I got the the same info as the solarman but it was not sychronised immediately like the solar man with the read outs on the inverter. The only info that was the same was the SOC the rest was all lagging . For example The house was using 304 watts and the i switched on the house water pump and it went up to 1820 watts. The pump stopped after 1 minute but the sunsyk logger readout on my phone still showed 1820 watts after 15 minutes . The inverter readings changed immediately back to 304 watts. The solarman also changed back immediately. Please help me with this problem as i go away frequently and need to monitor my solar system performance on my cellphone. Also on the sunsynk it does not split the solar paner arrays and the readout figures do not tie up exactly with the the figures shown on my phone app? Please advise Regards Ken Rowney
Great video, I guess in the uk if you have an old meter that turns backwards the batteries do not make a lot of sense at this stage. Does that make sense.
So our sunsynk inverter isn't working. We've got no grid power and our battery ran flat and its the sunniest day ever and our panels aren't generating anything. Have tried to reach our sunsynk installer and no luck. Very frustrating having all this fancy stuff and it doesn't work when its supposed to.
@@sunsynk I guess the inverter wouldn't be able to measure the accurate soc. But if I can set the voltages correctly, would that work just as well? So I'll use voltages instead of soc on the inverter
Hi guys.I am installing a 8kw Sunsynk inverter with 12x 480w solar panels and two 5kw Revov batteries. Can anybody give me some basic settings to start off with and then i can maybe tweek them a bit after the system has been up and running for a week or two. This would be a great help from somebody that already has a similar system up and running already. Kind Regards Mark
Great video and tips. At 0:36 there is mention of a companion 50 page booklet/PDF, what's the link please?
His bad habbit, he will never bother to insert the links, very poor of him!

Can you connect a Grid-tie inverter to sunsynk gen in port. Therfore using the grid-tie inverter as a generator.
Hi Keith. Enjoying your videos. Please could you do one on the Sunsynk Lifelynk All-in-One Hybrid Inverter. Notably on Limitations and sizing. Thanks
Great video, I guess in the uk if you have an old meter that turns backwards the batteries do not make a lot of sense at this stage. Does that make sense.
Yes absolutely.
Hie Keith, my inverter requires 6 digit pass code for commissioning how do i get that

Did you win in the end?
@@Sir_Gee yes... Super simple just had to hit the red button on the battery. 🤦🏼♀️
It’s all good but you can’t beat on site commissioning
My battery is a DIY battery using Bluetooth communication to an app. There is no COM port to connect to the inverter
How can the inverter measure the correct SOC
@@sunsynk I guess the inverter wouldn't be able to measure the accurate soc. But if I can set the voltages correctly, would that work just as well? So I'll use voltages instead of soc on the inverter
So these are 2x 48v 200ah batteries connected in parallel.
@Montypaks I'm running my sunsynk using voltage as I have diy battery with jbd bms's. Also using solar assistant.

Said a lot but really said nothing, and 50% of what the manual tells you is garbage
