Wonderful explanations. Thank you for making it “ simple” for us mortals....

I’ve been installing your kit for another company for a while now and I like it. The only problem I have found is that, as the majority of the people I am installing for are old, I am having to take on board the responsibility of force charging the battery/batteries to 100% once every seven days to give longevity to the units. I’m having to do it via the app. You need to pull your finger out and have a time slot that operates once a week so I only have to engage the force charging during winter months. This only applies to customers that pay a fixed rate at all times but economy seven or octopus agile are not available countrywide.

It's a really nice video, Thanks for your efforts.
What goes between the bms and the inverter regarding protocol, data packets, and registers? do you have any documents exploring that?
if you are interested, I would be glad to discuss with you more about the PV-Disel hybrid system we are willing to test. It manages the fuel consumption and power generation from PV and gensets.

Hi Keith I am having a Sunsynk inverter installed with two 5kw batteries the team are going to remove my old ABB power one inverter which DC so the new will AC I am told it will much more efficient I have solar panels so looking forward to seeing it all work

Really interesting. As an electronics engineer I can see the benefits compared with a standard inverter setup

Hi Keith really enjoying your videos. There is one thing I'm not understanding very well, how does the CT stop the power from the inverter flowing back into the grid? I know ct's are used to measure high currents without direct contact to the Instrumentation. I would really like to understand how you guys achieved this. Amazing work!

Very instructive and nice system. Do you have a video demonstration how to program the timer in the inverter if there is no solar panels. Could you do one if you don't. Between the hours of 7am-10pm I'm charged a higher rate. 10pm -7am a much lower rate. From what I understand from your whiteboard explanation I could charge my batteries during off peak and discharge the batteries during peak charging and save quite a bit of money. Is that correct. Could you show how that's programmed on the inverter. Thank you

HI, what technology are you using in your inverters ? H-bridge or cascaded H-bridge ? And how many phases in MPPT ?

Hi Keith!. Do you need a Fusebox inline between 16kW 1p Sunsynk and Freedom one lite batteries if both got Breakers in borh of them.

Hi Keith, Thank you for the great videos, a quick question, how can I connect a CT coil if I have a 3-phase system?

I hope that this question will still reach you Mr. @Keith Gough... my question is will Sunsynk Hybrid inverter accept DIY Lifepo4 with BMS but it does not have any communication port.. as usual with diy lithium/lifepo4's ? I love doing diy lifepo4 and it only has bms which does not have controller area network port. I hope to hear from you soon. thanks

If you know the battery parameters you can treat this as a AGM battery and program the float voltage, low battery cut off.Only use voltage settings in this case As the SOC will be in accurate

    • @nestyplus
      @nestyplus 4 ปีที่แล้ว

Thank you Mr. Keith for the clarifying on this. Now I am confident that my diy lifepo4 will work with sunsynk.

So you place the CT coil where you 'don't want power to flow to' it basically tells the inverter to BLOCK current in that direction . ?

Forward to 2022 - and we cannot even get stock of Lithium Solar batteries and Sunsynk inverters. Sold out all over. The solar industry is booming - people are installing solar and Sunsynk inverters to save on electricity costs.

Hi Keith, Thank You for your informative video. I do have a solar and grid combination system using the automatic change over switch in my home. When the grid is off(load-shedding) and only solar and the battery is available the lights have a dim glow with the light switch is off. When the light switch is on the light brightness is normal. When the grid is available there is no dim glow. This only started when the solar was fitted a few months ago. My electrician says we must fit a contactor to resolve this problem. To my knowledge contactors are used for motors and machines. Please advice.
    Thank You.

I see you asked this a year ago, but for anyone else with this problem, look up earth neutral bonding. Not having it can be dangerous!
