Some people do, I do not. I never saw much sense in clearing the inside of the pump seeing as there is oil splashing around in the body, and gasoline in the valve area which would desolve the clearcoat anyway.

When you clear coat the fuel pump, do you do in and out of each piece before you assemble?

@@lawrencemathews6182 I clearcoat, then assemble. Sanding the surfaces to make sure they are flat before assembling.
