  • A review of the best bag for me on the long distance rides. It's another great Saddlemen product.

Thanks for the review Mark! Just got the same bag. I think I’m going to love it. This summer taking a 2k mile trip from Massachusetts up through NY state into Canada then down into Michigan to visit friends. I’m on a 1275 Sporty that I have set up for all day comfort. Maybe I’ll do a show and tell packing it up on my ride.

Have the BR3400's little brother BR1800. More than pleased. Thanks for the video

Great video. I bought the BR 1800 for my 2023 Street Bob-I like the larger bag, but I felt that it would be too large for the bike. My sissy bar has a back luggage rack that I could easily attach my pack pack for additional storage.

Can confirm. I have been using the same bag for several years and have criss crossed a good portion of the country with it on the back of my bike including through heavy rain and storms with the rain cover on and never a single issue with it. Looks as good today as when I got it!

I’m so thankful that I’m one of the few people that bought The T Bags Cross Country when they were made. There are a few like yours that are similar to it, I can tell you that I’ve had mine for a decade, thousands of miles and it still looks brand new.

Im pretty sure when they call something "tactical" it adds at least a hundred bucks to the price

Thank you for sharing this review. I'm looking for that one bag that will do everything I would ever demand of it and then some. I've been known to over prepare.

Awesome review brother- Joker from 40-3 in Maryland! I've had my eye on this bag but wanted to see some reviews. Have you considered making a follow up to this review? Maybe one that shows what you've loaded up before a trip? It could help some of us with some ideas on what to use all those pockets for! lol

I also have had good luck with the BR3400. It also comes with a pad that goes under the rear seat so if you do not have a sissy bar you can still strap it down and use it. I have used one on a bike that had 0 luggage and taken 10 days worth of clothing and did my first Sturgis with the OG BR3400 in 2015. I live in Iowa and have taken as far East as North Carolina, all the way down to Texas, and up to Minnesota, and West to Yellowstone. I have had the original and the tactical BR3400 bags in the last 10 years. I was using mine for trips and also day to day stuff. it rarely came off the bike unless I had a passenger.

I don't think I see you sitting up against the bag, I would like to know a bit about how it is to sit against the back?...🙂🙂

Great detailed overview. I have a 17 Softail slim with a 10” sissy bar. I was looking to get a taller bar. What size bar is on yours? I am stuck between the 18” and 30”. Leaning towards the 18”.
