@@TheMikeOrganist I imagine it probably wouldn't be difficult to re-create either since Hauptwerk would have recorded keystrokes (I think?). Would probably just require some of Richard's time and Wayne's permission. Maybe a future Christmas gift to the BIS community? :)
I'm sorry not to have been able to join you to watch this live, Richard, but what a pleasure to be able to watch it subsequently. What a great way to introduce this masterpiece of an organ and HW sample set to the world. Glorious in every way!
A superb concert. I'm pretty sure my phone speaker did not do it justice, all the more reason to listen again later. Thank you to all the musicians, and congratulations to Richard and Jerry on this huge accomplishment.
Masterful playing and a brilliant production. Wayne’s improvisation was particularly impressive with its innovative organ colours and harmonies. Thanks to everyone for such a comprehensive exploration of this fantastic sample set!
Richard, I am speechless! What you’ve achieved with this new sample set is magnificent. It truly shows what Hauptwerk is capable of when a sampler takes the time and care to get it right. My congratulations to you. I’m planning on buying it once I upgrade the memory in my organ computer (I don’t have quite enough RAM for it right now). As to the recital, the playing was flawless and it was interesting to see how each artist used the instrument. Every player got different sounds out of it. Bravo to each of them and to you!
The organ is a very exciting instrument, not only because it is a complex design, but also because it requires incredible coordination from the organist, in addition to incredible musical knowledge. Wonderful
I am properly stunned by the quality of this... this is the definitive HW set I think... The playing also also exquisite! Congrats to Richard, Jerry and all the performers!
Wow, especially Wayne's Impro... finally someone who also likes to "speak" in the same language I do!! ^^ Congrats Richard and community to this marvellous Sampleset!! ;)
I loved Robert Quinney's impeccable performance of the Dupré B major. Thoroughly masterful performance IMO, especially the complex fugue theme on the pedals (03:24 and 06:00)! Update: I don't recall a better version. Atmospheric and spacious, and also crystal clear!!
That is fantastic! The playing; the compositions; the sound; the video; and, of course, the extremely high quality of the sample set. Now to plan a HW tech upgrade to be able to install it. Well done Richard and Jeremiah - and thanks to those who supported them along the way. 👏👏👏👏👏👏👏
Thats an impressive sample set Richard. How many hours did that take you to create that! The Redcliffe bells at the end was a nice touch. Think my favourite was Wane Marshal improvisation. I first heard him when he was a teenager, playing a recital at Rochdale Town Hall many moons ago. What hardware do i need to play Redcliffe? I have I7 laptop, 64GB ram, playing Stereo, not multi channel.
If only they'd got Wayne at Notre Dame for the organ rebirth! Everyone would have been grinning and tapping their feet instead of wincing at the shocking crashing around Latry produced.
Hey, I just found a really interesting and well written and produced document about the organ by Paul Hale. Turns out the church floor had to be dug up to provide the organ with enough air to create the wonderful sound it produces today! An organ having a really good wind supply is an extremely important thing for me. The document is called "Perfection preserved" and you can find it under "External links" from the St Mary Redcliffe link in the video Description.
As a tech Neanderthal, let’s see if I manage to accomplish the switch from waiting to live-streaming in a few minutes. Perhaps I could get the assistance of a blind person to help me. I’m such a troglodyte…
Sounds great Richard 👍 And that was an exceptional impro from Dr Marshall. Nice to hear an improvisation that's completely at ease with the nature of the theme.
Okay, but like for real…we need a transcription of Wayne’s improv now. I’d play it every year!
Totally agree!!

Love it! Bravo! 🎄🎄
I've heard three of these organist live this year and this concert is great to hear them again
Really enjoyed Wayne’s improvisation. So rich and luxurious in colour.😊
Wow. All five. All completely different, all wonderful. What a fantastic sample set, played by masters of the craft. Congratulations, Richard.
Wayne's improvisions are amazing. I've heard a number of them since I first heard of his name on TH-cam, and they all stand up to repeat listening.

Wow! World class organists, indeed! Bravo and awesome and enjoyable!

Wonderfully recorded Richard, sounds absolutely magnificent! Well done! 🙂🎵🎹🎶

Amazing sound and fantastic playing! Thanks Richard and guests.
It sounded very good through my hifi system. Well done all the organists and to Richard for having produced a brilliant sample set.

Such talented organists. This is a wonderful sample set.

Thanks Richard for bringing in these guest organists. Great hearing them. Only know Wayne. Need to check his posts for more videos of his.
Enjoying this immensely....Greetings to all...
This was utterly gorgeous!!

The sample set is SUPERB Richard. And Wayne's impro makes me wish I had taken lessons in the piano and organ
I'm keen on Ben Bloor. His TH-cam channel is so nice!
Agreed!
Yay!
To me the sample set shows itself to the best in the Elgar and the Stanford.
Can't wait. This is going to be good. SMR
Superb! But would have been nice to have had some chitter-chatter with the guest organists to hear their thoughts on the organ.
A Pipe organ in the living room... That's cool!

Hi Brian, the hardware details are all on our website on the St Mary Redcliffe listing 😊
Have a look on www.beautyinsound.co.uk for more information. How many hours? Thousands…..
Many Thanks!♥
All the best to everyone at HQ tonight …. And at HQ2 (across the Pond)!

What is the pre-stream music?
Sounds great Richard 👍
