Purple Sunset Hair

- Hey guys!
Today I'll be showing you how I achieved a sunset-vibe hair color.
This was my first time using Arctic Fox and I loved it! I think I will definitely be using it for all my future looks. If you want to see an in-detail review then please let me know!
You might notice that I do the purple layer a second time. When I was doing my hair initially, I noticed a lot of patchy areas because
1. my roots were darker than the rest of my hair
2. the color was too light
3. conditioner was coating the hair before the color
So, I wasn't surprised when it was patchy after washing it out but all I had to do was do another layer of purple that was slightly more pigmented.

The color is also patchy because it was mixed with a conditioner that contains silicones in it. So if you don't want to buy the company's clear/diluter, make sure to pick up a conditioner that has no silicone. I think Tressemme is the only drugstore brand that has one.

Choco Kitty The Fabulous Really? I'll have to look into Aussie, I know their 3 minute miracle does have silicones, but they've made so many variations now I can't keep up. Same with Hask. But thanks for the info! Though I only use professional brands on myself and my clients, I often get questions so it's good to know there are other options out there.
I prefer to stick to the clear version that comes with a specific brand because the formula will always be the right consistency whether it be Arctic Fox, Pravana, Pulp Riot, etc. It will help to insure even application, staying power and an even fading. But that's just my preference. Honestly Arctic Fox is the only non professional brand I've tried and I absolutely love it!! It's quickly become one of my favorites.
BlackThornRose127 i use the three minute miracle also and I have no troubles with it.
The suave one doesnt have any silicones in it though and has worked great for me every time i mixed it with arctic fox. As far as I've seen, most if not all of tresseme's does, at least the ones I've found readily available (at walmart) because i think they discontinued the one that used to not have it.

BlueSky Don’t wash your hair every day, and buy shampoo/conditioner without sulfates in it (sulfates make it fade). Also buy a color sealer packet, they’re a couple dollars at Sally’s and it closes the cuticle and keeps the color in longer

How long does the dye last? Nd do you shower after you put all the pain
How do you wash it and keep.it from bleeding into each color and becoming muddy looking? Its beautiful.

I have been looking for something new and crazy to do with my hair. I love this style! It looks so awesome! How long does Arctic Fox stay in your hair? How difficult is the upkeep (like color touchups)?

Arctic Fox last pretty well on my hair, I think it was about two weeks before it started to noticeably fade, but I also did a lot to maintain my hair (like wash only in cold water and I do a no-shampoo method).
The actual retouch is pretty easy, it takes about 30 mins to redo and then I wait about an hour before rinsing it out, and because I liked the color to be very vibrant, I probably redid it every two weeks, but since it only took two hours of my day it wasn't too hard to maintain.

What are you mixing the color with?
The color combo is very nice but the purple on top is kind of patchy a bit. Some of your hair still looked yellow in some parts before it was dyed. It may have needed another go through a purple toner to take out the yellow.

Did you mix that with conditioner or developer?
Looks like conditioner. I dont think you can put developer in arctic fox

Wait can you add any kind of Conditioner to the Colour? then just mix?
it should be a conditioner (like the one i use) without any -cone ingredients so that the dye is still able to penetrate the hair and white is preferable so you can tell the exact color you're mixing, or you can buy the diluters that hair dye brands sell! and the purpose of the conditioner is just to dilute the color :))
