Why? Like the Israelis, run an armored tractor through the mine fields. Blade down cuts 6 in to a foot deep, churns the IEDs and mines with dirt and pushes it aside. If one blows, it is buried in dirt anyway.

Those are great systems, if you get locked by a Patriot battery you are basically dead.
Also the Bradleys Ukraine got are great IFVs. they have advanced thermals, laser range finders, GPS and comms systems so they will be able to call in immediate and highly accurate heavy fire support. And the US has plenty more to send as Ukraine needs them.
Plus the US isn't waiting till next year to send M1A2 Abrams tanks to Ukraine, older but still deadly M1A1 Abrams tanks are on their way as soon as Ukraine can train their crews and set up logistics for them.
US tanks are good, but they have really hard logistical demands. Ukrainians are not yet used to such strain. They suffer from Princess Disease.
@@vksasdgaming9472 Ukraine isn't just getting weapons, it is also getting the logistics systems to keep them in action.
And US tanks are not that much more demanding than other tanks. They burn more gas in idle but about the same in operation. Also changing out an M1 powerpack takes less than 1/2 hour.
Ukraine will make the Abrams work like they have made everything else.
@@dougcoombes8497 No doubt about Ukrainians learning how to use them. That "not that much more demanding" is actually quite a lot and they need more manpower in maintenance. Of course having tanks is better than not having tanks.

They had about 700,000 people in uniform after mobilizing last February, another 1 million in reserves and there are almost 7 million fit men of military age in Ukraine.
They will get all the training they need no matter what nation they are getting aid from.
Abrams may be harder to support in combat, but it is also highly effective. It tore the Iraqi T-72s apart in the first gulf war and has only improved over time.
Ukraine is going to find the best possible way to use them.

The Bradleys are crazy versatile, highly maneuverable, and quite lethal. The criminal Russian leadership knows this, all others in the Russian Federation forces do not know this, but they soon will.

Ukrainian friends...PLEASE don't try driving those M2A2 ODS Bradleys into a river or lake or you will be sorely disappointed in the results! You'll lose one Bradley and kill the crew. The early models of Bradleys WERE designed to be amphibious and COULD swim in the water...at slow speeds and with these huge canvas swimming kits that took forever to install. However, that amphibious capability was removed from Bradleys LONG AGO! They now have far too much heavy armor on them to float. So I say again...DO NOT test out the Bradley's amphibious capabilities because it will result in a very bad day!

OK-------. 100 Bradley's is Great but Ukraine needs HUNDREDS More... America has SIX Thousands of Bradleys so even 500 additional Bradleys sent to Ukraine would not be noticed let alone missed. But 500 Bradleys could mean the difference between Ukraine winning this war against Russia who has 10,000 BMPs...

The same company that makes Javelin ATGM also makes Patriot systems. With PAC-2 and PAC-3 missiles a Patriot battery is going to take down almost anything that flies into range.
The M2A2s that Ukraine got from the US have thermals, laser ranger finders and precise GPS systems meaning they won't just be killing Russian stuff with their 25mm Bushmasters and TOWs, they will be calling in accurate artillery and air support.
The US is also sending M1A1 Abrams soon, not waiting to build new M1A2s for Ukraine next year.
