  • To get the most of your printables (and the money you've spent on them) it is important to have them organized in a way that reminds you to use them! In this video, I am updating my current printables storage as well as creating a "look book" of sorts to remind me of the printables that I own. Supplies are linked below!

    I do more of the print, cut, and put in sandwich bags(cd envelopes is a great idea!). I label by subject rather than artist. Thanks for another idea to try. ⚾️

    Thanks for sharing and those are some great ways to store printable. I will try the binder first because I can grab and use quicker. Definitely need to do this and clean up space on my computer. 👍🏾

    I really love the idea of a reference binder. This is a solution I've been looking for. ? How did you make the completed printable sheet, the smaller size, and where did you find all the elements together for the reference picture...

      Hey Kathe - so all I did was print the PDFs at 4 to a page or 25% size. If there are multiple pages to the PDF, they will print 4 to a page and work perfectly. If there is one page per PDF, that will require some physical cutting & pasting.

    I noticed you're using an Epson ecotank printer. When you print on sticker paper, what settings do you use? I'm still on a learning curve with the Epson ecotank & tried the Presentation Matte paper on high quality, which turned out nice. Haven't tried plain paper setting yet or standard quality with sticker paper.

      I just got an ecotank also. Been trying to figure this out also

      I always use the highest quality settings, and set it for slow-drying ink. That is how I get the best results.

    This was a great video, but I have questions. Do you print the printable on sticker paper so that when you’re ready for them you “fussy cut,” them?
    Also I don’t have a computer. I use my phone for everything. I’m also not tech savvy. Which has really stopped me from using printable.
    Because I don’t understand the process. Where do you store the digital printable once you print it. Do you just create a file for that?

    • @ScrappyWife
      @ScrappyWife  6 วันที่ผ่านมา

      I have always printed straight from my computer, where I store all the files. For me, it is easier to actually see and organize the files you have straight onto your computer. I generally do not print on sticker paper most of the time, unless I know in advance that I want them as stickers. Otherwise, I just cut them out as pieces of ephemera.

    Great idea for storage. But, how do you use the printable if they are not on sticker paper?

    • @ScrappyWife
      @ScrappyWife  6 วันที่ผ่านมา

      I cut them out and use tomboy adhesive...like working with a paper die-cut.

    What printer do you use for printables? Is laser better than inkjet?

    Hi Elisa, I am new to your channel and I love it. You inspired me to get a Happy Planner. I have just started with it. I am in Australia, so its hard to get things that you need here, as postage is so expensive. I notice that you take out pages to decorate and write in. I find it hard to write in my planner because of the binders. I went to take my page out and it pulled at the holes that attached to the rings. How do yo manage to take out the pages without it damaging the holes? Thanks for your advice. I just find that I can't write in the sides close to the rings and being able to take the pages out without damaging the holes would be helpful. Juliet from Australia :)

      Hi Juliet - it sounds like you tried to pull the page sideways, away from the discs. Instead, you need to hold the page at the top and gently pull it up and towards you - almost as if you were going to fold it in half. For a visual demo of this, I’d suggest looking at any videos where people are doing planner setups/refreshes - you’ll see lots of examples of people pulling pages out and putting them back in to see the technique in action!

      @@kathryns4754 Hi Kathryn, Thank you so much for the tip. I think I was pulling it sideways. I will give this a go and see if it works. Its impossible to write close to the discs otherwise and you lose so much writing space. Thank you for your comment and help. I really appreciate it :)
