- Visiting Singapore's first AI automated convenience store.
The organization sent me an email about correcting some points:
- SMRT Corporation is not owned by the government.
- Hive 2.0 is not a government company/project.

You are welcome to send fan emails but I may not be able to respond to all of them. But I immensely appreciate your support. Thank you!
#Singapore
The part that you said, “usually you have to beep somewhere” is so funny haha very informative video, thank youu
Looks like Ghib never heard of the Amazon hilarity of using "AI" when it's actually thousands of Indian workers checking the camera recordings of what you bought and charge you afterwards.
True!
Wow look so cool and interesting.
Thank You for your beautiful video
👍🌷🤍❤️
Try Jurong Point shopping centre, it's really huge. got Hong Kong street themed displays, got Japan street with lots of japanese food, got Malaysia Boleh selling malaysia cuisine etc etc
In Hong Kong 🇭🇰, beer or any other alchemy drink ISN’T sold in 7-11 either.
Spelling mistake….sorry, I meant alcoholic drink.
I have to check out this 7-eleven myself now
8:27 me too! ☺️ loved it since I first saw and tried them from primary school days! always expensive, so you can imagine how elated I was to find a whole pack of them for cheaper in Korea 🤣
What happens if / when you pick a bagful of goodies at this 7-11 store, but there is no way a sensor can tell the number of items you have selected……🤔🤔🤔🤔
the moment you pick up the items from the shelves, it is billed into your credit card.
hope this is better than a concept physical amazon store, who literally had india based staff watching you via cameras and manually charging what you buy... more like Manual Intelligence.
Concept quite similar to Cheers at the mall at Joo Koon.
Cheers tampines hub too same pattern a few years back already.not new
Hi Ghib,, thks for the live stream its my first time i saw the esplanade mall there,, for me i better go inside a shop with people working inside lah 😅,, till d next live stream Ghib, huat ah,, 😅👍🍺
I would buy a meal there since a meal at CBD isn't cheap. 7 11 would seem to have a good deal.
Regarding alcohol sale, i believe there is an issue on age verification for auto checks out. I always had an issue at NTUC when buying beer using their app check out.
Let me get something healthy. Aiya let’s get the beef jerky it’s on promo too 😅😂you are too real and funny 😂
残念ですが、日本では無人レジコンビニをファミマが既に導入してますよー。
Tried the same kind of shop at SMU 2yrs ago, they might be the first in Sg back then.
Nowadays decathlon or Uniqlo. You just take and it into the checkout box and everything calculated in the receipt at checkout by credit card. Similar style
not the same, that one is when check out u need to present your card, however this is u only present your card upon going in. so if 3 person go in in sequence A B C, but come out B C A, how they know whose card to charge to? what if someone say A went in but did not buy? how they know? the only thing same is unmanned, but the logic how things works is very different.
IIRC, this kinda system already exist in the US. It's called Amazon Go. Not sure if the tech is the same though, maybe quite similar.
Try Charterise unmanned store at Le Quest Mall
And Try Cheers unmmaned store at Joo Koon
The thing that gets my thinking is, if there is more than one person how would they know who to charge when one person walk out
Can I check if this concept is similar to the Amazon Go Just Walk Out technology?
Does it use AI computer vision and tracking technology, or does it also rely on remote human verification to detect which item is being picked by which person, etc. Thanks
Cheers has done this already. So even though it's the first 7-11 to do it it's not the first convenience store to do it in SG.
Hi. Love the 7eleven ideas, but how would they know what I purchase? I mean, if it's just a person per entry, then it's feasible, but what happens if there's more than one person. For Eg, 1st person taps in, but the 2nd person walked out with goodies first? How would the system know which person walked out with which goodies...I'm confused😂
if there are more than 1 person in the store how they know who took what? and charge to whose card?
Before you entered, the machine you tap in already captured your credit card/debit card. AI is a very powerful machine control by entities.
@@JesusMySaviour1717 like what i mentioned if there is only 1 person no issue, but if there are more than 1 say 3 person, how u know which item is taken out by who? assuming the sequence going and and coming out are not the same.
@@ObeluStrawberry cause there is camera to capture which item they take and no escape from stealing. They also won’t charge into the wrong account.
@@JesusMySaviour1717 meaning it is not just scanning credit card it also scan your face to tie to the credit card, so when u go out it will scan your face again to know which credit card to charge to? meaning using facial recognition?
@@ObeluStrawberry exactly!
oh man i gotta go back to singapore now...
Le quest also have one a Japanese shop. Also cashless.
Actually in the Singapore Institute of Technology Dover campus, we have an unmanned Cheers store since last year already. This is nothing new really.
The Vegetarian Malatang is good there.
Lol~ hahaha 😆 not bad, all my design are there
Still lose to Japan, Taiwan & Thailand 7-11
Hi would you like to come experience our robotics delivery? We are just opposite of 7-11.
Hey, Ghib OJISAN. I asked my Singaporean 🇸🇬 wife about the Hokkian phrase, “JI BUN NAN JIAO LIAO”. She said it means, ‘Japanese guy leaving now.” I asked you several times before and you never responded, so I had to ask my wife.
Hi, “Jit Poon Lang Chao Liao” is a Hokkien dialect Phrase. Jit Poon is Japan, Lang is people , Chao is leave, Liao is already.
Its literally 日本人来了, hope this helps
日本人来了, Japanese person has come, Ji pun lang lai liao
日本人走了, Japanese person is leaving, Ji pun lang zao liao
So expensive!
Another chance for human interaction removed in favour of "progress" 🤔
As someone who used to work in retail, I noticed its usually Western customers who would complain about this 😂 I think in Japan there are more of such concepts with lesser human interactions to cater to introverts
Tbh, singapore 7 eleven stores food are pretty boring and the food tastes meh.. 😑
The butter chicken briyani is so good though!
No one cares
Comments says otherwise. Why so bitter? Jealous he's got lots of fans while your little gaming channel only has 16? 😂
@@Deadlyroll ohhhh. You? 3? 🤣🤣
@@yang_gaming91 nice try, mines not even meant to be a channel lol Didn't even bother making up some dumb logo naming it a gaming channel like you lmao.
Just a dump for my random videos when I was a kid. 😂
@@Deadlyroll ok keyboard warrior. You continue ur wannabe path ok? Bye
@@yang_gaming91 keyboard warrior? Nah, just returning your own energy back to you. Why? Surely you know not to dish shit if you cannot take any back yourself? lol
