As we move forward andman and Nicobar command should not be merged with maritime theatre commands.
It should remain a independent and separate theatre commands.
It's responsiblity will be eastern Indian Ocean up to australian, bay of Bengal and andman sea, ASEAN countries, south China sea and further expansion of western Pacific Ocean.
Thus maritime theatre commands based in Karwar can focus on defending peninsular India, Arabian sea up to Persia gulf and straits of Aden and hormuz. And further expansion in southern Indian Ocean and eastern Africa
We need a 20 year roadmap for this
This show is on my to watch list but the production quality and frequency of the show should be more...and as always the show is wonderful

As we move forward towards Theaterisation, the Andaman & Nicobar command should be subsumed in the Maritime Command which would likely be HQ at Karwar. The Maritime Command should have 3 Sub commands-
1. Western Maritime Command (Arabian Sea- From Shore of Gujarat to end of Karnataka)- HQ Mumbai
2. Eastern Maritime Command (Bay of Bengal- From shore of West Bengal to end of Andhra)- HQ Vizag
3. Southern Maritime Command (Indian Ocean- Kerala, Tamil Nadu & entire IOR including Andaman & Nicobar & Lakshwadeep)- HQ Kochi
The 3 Sub Commands can likely be lead by a 2 Star Naval officer with his 2 deputies from 2 other services. All 3 would report to the Main Maritime Theatre Command HQ at Karwar. Similarly Maritime Command would be lead by 3 Star Naval officer & his 2 deputies from 2 different services of the same rank.
Once this particular Theaterisation takes place, Army should be asked to have atleast a Brigade of around 5000 soldiers permanently stationed at Andaman & Nicobar with the Brigade HQ at Port Blair. Half the strength can be filled with locals to instil a sense of pride of defending the nation. IAF can be asked to station atleast 1 Sq. permanently at Andaman & Nicobar islands.
Infact going into future, forstly Quad needs to be expanded to include South Korea. Secondly, if ever Quad has to take shape as a Military Alliance like NATO, Andaman & Nicobar can be the perfect HQ of that Alliance being the largest island chain in Indian Ocean Region. Each & every member can be contribute something to it's security.
I personally feel that Andaman & Nicobar island should not only be looked as a Defence Fortress but also it should have it's own Economy.
Develop 1 of Great Andaman or Car Nicobar island on the lines of Singapore or Bangkok or Kuala Lampur or Hong Kong having it's own International Deep Sea port where ships can dock, a proper city on one of those islands of the size of Singapore etc. where Foreign Direct Investment should be allowed as well Domestic investors should also be given incentives to increase their investments. It has a big scope in Healthacare, Educations, Watersports, IT & Services like Hospitality & Tourism, Banking etc. Special Economic Zone (SEZ) & Land Banks near port can be designated for Manufacturing Industries, Logistical Warehouses to increase our exports in the ASEAN, Japan, South Korea, even China & even as far as US & Canada type countries.
Since security by India initially & then possibly the Quad+ would be provided so even the people would have a sense of security while investing in the proposed city. So A&N should be viewed from both Military & Economic point of view.
Note- Though it would be difficult but in the long term (next 10-15 years) we should strive to get Coco Islands from Myanmar. We can't let Myanmar lease this island to China. It will be very problematic. So either by purchasing or some other kind of a deal, we should strive to get Coco Islands back as a part of Andaman & Nicobar.

QUAD has a common journey but having different goals it seems. isro -oppo deals are all confusing to the public . how will the respected panels justify. when govt urging its citizen contrary to what is in place .
