    Mike, watching you work is a pleasure. With being skilled at so many aspects, Who trained you? You're too young to have spent the time at everything you know to master what you do.
    I've seen what other truck builders do and your design process surpasses everyone else.
    Mmmmm. This coffee tastes good....in my Denny's cup! lol

    • @BellosKustoms
      @BellosKustoms  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I didn't really get any training. I had a mentor when I was young and worked with some good people a long the way, I also had a career in heavy collision repair. A lot of this stuff becomes common sense after enough repetition

      @@BellosKustoms. With all that knowledge, your greatest asset is your ability to look at something and "see it in your mind" and know what you want done. That can't be taught.
      I grew up in a racing family and spent my whole life around cars. And I still get excited seeing what others come up with.
      At 64 and retired, I am sad that I never had the pleasure before.

    Brother It looks good so far.. Ditch the fuel tank completely and run a heavy cross member in place, incorporate a driveshaft loop into it and then add triangular support bars on the top that will flex up and down with the rear end and you got it made..
    An idea for a new gas tank.. get a keg from a local brewery, steam wash it, prep it for paint, and for the sending unit.. and mount it to the front bed wall.. most of these barrels are aluminum.. unless you order an old whiskey barrel..
    That thing is gonna look legit Homie

    • @BellosKustoms

    Awesome work as per usual. No need for time lapse with your speed of execution. I am curious about adjustment or lack there of. Set the pinion angle and then final weld for bar links. I have never seen this kind of set-up without heim joints. Maybe it is a car thing and they are not used for big trucks.

    • @joshbuxton2783
      @joshbuxton2783 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Actually you absolutely right. They use heim joints in 4wd applications mostly, but for what I am seeing as it all starts to unfold I honestly think that heim joints or huge rod ends would definitely be a plus.. And the other thing that I noticed when I was watching.. if the link bars were bigger than what he's currently using, it would actually be able to support the weight and also the torque from the engine and transmission..

    • @joshbuxton2783
      @joshbuxton2783 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      For some of you out there that have never done any suspension fab work on 4wds and on duallys/ 3/4 ton and 1 ton stuff, it's all about the structural engineering methods that you use to not only support the weight of the vehicle and the abuse from the road but also the torque that engine and transmission are going to put out.. the bigger the vehicle the more strength and structural support you have to give to make the vehicle work the way that you want it to.. Yes there are pre fabricated kits out there to help you.. But it's totally up to you to make sure that it all works properly and is road worthy without any hickups .. just like in racing..
      And always remember..
      If you get a slight feeling of something being wrong, It probably is . God bless y'all and good luck on your projects.. I grew up working on trucks 4wd and 2wd from 1/2ton all the way up to 18wheelers.. My experience with this kind of stuff is why I am able to give advice..

    • @BellosKustoms
      @BellosKustoms  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Good looking out homie 👊🏾 Heim joints are adjustable and adjustments are for inaccurate measurements

    • @BellosKustoms
      @BellosKustoms  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I like that you guys are paying attention to what I'm doing. Heims are usually used to adjust and they're more rigid, there's no give like a bushing. Adjustment is for something that's not accurate, my 4 link bars are all accurate. Like I said Heim joints are more rigid so they're a little harder on your suspension. Its not always a good thing. Thanks my lokochonies 👊🏾
