    Hi, first of all, we thank you for the information you give through your videos 👏🏼🙏🏼. I wanted to ask you a question, I have two GX 270 pressure machines and I would like to increase the gpm! What a treat, can you recommend that I work with Gx 270 to increase the highest gpm. I appreciate your help.

    Picked up an old washer after my new brushless monster died in like 40 minutes... defeated the purpose of low maintenance lol. Started looking for pump/chassis as a priority- hoping to find one that didn't run, could swap motor out if needed, still gets me way under cost of new. So for $150 got an older Italian HyPro with a Honda G400 (old 11hp flathead) built in gear reduction (not sure what the reduction is, I'm guessing 2:1 based on pump rpm/motor rpm) 4.7gpm 1800psi. Lower pressure but great volume (which frankly for most of what I do, this is a better setup, especially since I'd like to run a small wet media blaster sometimes.)
    My question is, can I bring down the orifice sizes some to get more pressure and sacrifice some flow? The thing is beefy, I don't imagine it'd be a problem as long as the motor can chug through. Have you ever used a small diesel on a pressure washer? Too much noise/harmonics? Because a belt drive on a small diesel may actually work really well. The small 6hp 196 diesels probably make a lot more torque under load, could run only a slight underdrive on the pump side. Would running it at slightly more rpm increase pressure at all? Or just flow? Pressure being a result of flow through certain passage/orifice sizes?

    Honda igx 800 or GX 690 and which pump works best at 4000 psi
    I think you prefer gear driven ?

    Hi,
    Had a question you might be able to answer. I have a honda gx390 13 hp engine pressure washer (belt drive). It has a 4.0 gpm pump (1750 rpm) and 3500 psi
    Can i swap out the pump to a 5.5 gpm @ 3000 or 3500 psi? Just not sure if the rpm on the pump (1450 vs 1750) make a difference on the engine.
    Just curious because some 5.5 gpm pressure washer use the same gx390 engine but the rpm is lower.

      Did u find a answer to that ? I have a older gx390 with 4gpm pump an I want to put a 5.5gpm pump on there it's gear drivn but everyone sayn belt driven is better. It was free so I want to make it like the other 2 5.5 gpm 3000psi

      Hi,
      Yes, it will take too much and cost is not worth it. They will need to adjust the engine for the correct RPM for the pump. Then change the belt pulley to run the 5.5 gpm. Again, the cost wasn't worth it. I got a 5.5 gpm from a guy on Craigslist. It was in great condition and couldn't pass it up.
      Good luck 👍

    Hi Troy, Iam building a pressure washer similar to this using the Comet FW2 5530 with the PA 2:1 gear box from Bargroup and the Honda GX 390 (the FW2 has the same pressure and GPM as the RW 5530 only cheaper due to not having hot water seals.)
    My qustion is at a 2:1 ratio the GX390 is running at 1800rpm, these pumps state that they should be run at 1450rpm maximum. Would this not damage the pump? Are my calculations correct or am I missing something?

    • @WashRite
      @WashRite  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Na won't damage the pump at all , should be totally fine

    • @warriorofgodfitness488
      @warriorofgodfitness488 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Remember that the 1800rpm you calculated is probably without a load. With the pump putting a load on the engine it will definitely slow the rpm’s some.

    Do you guys ever fill the reduction box with gear oil before mounting it to the engine and notice that it slowly leaks oil out of the spot where the engine shaft will insert??? ... I've had two reduction boxes (Both Brand New and Exactly the same type as you have in this video) and BOTH have begun leaking oil. Does it seal better once the engine is mounted to the reduction box?
    This is really freaking me out.

    • @warriorofgodfitness488
      @warriorofgodfitness488 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It would depend greatly on the gpm instead of the psi. 4000 psi at 3gpm will run on a smaller engine than 4000 psi at 5 gpm. What gpm (gallons per minute) or liters are you looking at?

    • @warriorofgodfitness488
      @warriorofgodfitness488 ปีที่แล้ว

      Also what’s the horse power of the engine. That sounds small I’m guessing around 5 to 7 hp. If it’s that small you’d probably only get by with a 2.5 or maybe 3 gpm pump.

      Great questions, Yes just enough power, we don't want to or need to run the pump at its max pressure of 3000psi we only run them around 2200 psi, if you wanted to run max pressure from these pumps you would need to run a 18hp Vtwin motor.
