I love creepy-heavy Spiritbox. It’s more fitting of their band name and to their roots. Cellar Door reminds me a lot of stuff like Beauty of Suffering and I think it is their best song since Holy Roller. This was a much needed comeback for me. Courtney has always had a creepy mind and I think Mike compliments it favorably with his guitar-work.

THANK YOU OMG. Nobody EVER talks about Beauty of Suffering... and they just say Holy Roller is their heaviest, and I personally think BoS is heavier than that song, play wise and emotion-provoke wise. I know BoS has singing and screaming and Holy Roller is all screaming but I just think Courtney in BoS is just insane with how she sounds so pissed off, you can really feel it. Holy Roller is a banger, don't get me wrong and it makes you feel shit too. I know it brought more fans in and maybe they didn't listen to SB's earlier stuff but ugh lol. I eyeroll every time when people say Holy Roller is their heaviest song of all time.
I would kill for them to play Beauty of Suffering live, or at least a new one-take posted (one was posted 5y ago) especially now with how much Courtney has progressed as a vocalist and has only gone up since the release of their first EP, and her days in IWABO.

in the Mara Effect there weren't many of thos moments tho - and that was pretty much their root/origin. So with this they rather go back to Holy Roller time

While I love this and Holy Roller, the best heavy Spiritbox song to me, which I feel is insanely slept on, is Silk In The Strings. That to me was already Holy Roller 2.0 because it's got that groove while also being brutal af

10/10. heaviest song theyve done, even lyrically and in the vibe, theyre back to that mara effect'/belcarra spooky vibe on this one, i love how drone-y and sludgy it is, and that they pivot styles from song to song. theyre absolutely my favorite modern metal band.

Love this new song! The first like 15 seconds confuse my brain for some reason but I love it too. The ambient outro leads perfectly into Jaded if you listen to the back to back.
