You are right. I would happily trade the grappling hook and the cut blaster for a flightstand and a firing rocket. Don't absolutely need the hands (though would have been nice). I will still get him. I have the ESB as a Bandai model kit (really nice, that one). So this version will be a very nice edition for my Boba collection.
Man I remember the good old days when owning a black series Boba Fett was special. Then they rereleased the fuck out of him. But the new Boba Fett is leagues better.

Just ordered that rotj boba a few days ago, looking forward to when it arrives! The other figs are stuff i definitely would like to collect in the future, i will say though i do fancy that carboniteish look, shiny is cool!
As a kid I used to use boba as a goodie, when I actually watched the empire strikes back, I was stunned, my favorite figure was a bad guy, so that's when I decided to join the empire lol.
As it currently stands, the deluxe Return of the Jedi version is the definitive Boba Fett figure as far as The Black Series goes. It comes with just about everything you'd want and has great articulation. You can do A LOT with him. If you were only going to get one Boba, that would be the one to buy. I considered the original Empire Strikes Back version to be one of the best figures in the line. But now, with the ROTJ version, that is no longer true. The ROTJ Boba has easily overtaken it. By the way, I love that depressed tone in your voice whenever you were talking about the 'Carbonized' version. As if to make it painfully obvious that you really do not care at all for that figure lol. Great touch that I found highly amusing.
I only own two Black Series figures. The 40th anniversary carded Boba Fett & the regular release #01 The Mandalorian. I definitely like the Jedi Boba Fett better, but don't know if it's worth $10 more.
Also, this is the figure of the year for me already, no way anything could top it!! And in my humble opinion, my favorite and what I think is the best figure in the entire black series LINE. If I could only have one figure from the entire black series, this is it.

Should be getting my deluxe Boba Fett later today (UK delivery delayed till now) so I expect I will be watching your squished helmet(that sounds so wrong) repair video again. I love the idea of Hasbro providing a wired cape too, but I don't think they will as these are primarily marketed as toys and a wire anywhere in a toy would probably be deemed too dangerous for a kids toy these days. If they were marketed as collectables then that may well be different, but then the prices would be at "collectables" levels. Hooray for after market Customs I guess. When it comes to the Kenner carded figures I like to leave them on the card. I really wanted to open my 40th anniversary boba Fett, but knowing that they were going to release the Deluxe, it made it easier not to open the carded one. Got my deluxe in the mail yesterday and love it! I didn’t even take out the chord or the cut-in-half blaster cuz those accessories are kinda pointless to me.

I don’t know how the secondary market can affect a figure. Has nothing to do with the figure itself. That 2018 sdcc kenner Fett is a 5/5 regardless of how much I paid for him
100% incorrect. Boba Fett wasn't even the Boba Fett we knew until 1978, a year after star wars was released. Before then he was created to be a Super Commando Stormtrooper and was all in white. It's the whole story behind the prototype armor version. That Boba Fett was shot in the 90s and added into the already existing deleted scene.
I only have a couple, the Boba and Captain Phasma. In general, their QC has been hit and miss in the past, but I do have the Mafex Mando on pre-order. I am hoping it as good as their Boba's were. They haven't actually put out a Star Wars figure in quite some time.
I don't know why, but I absolutely love the prototype boba and the animated colour scheme figures, I even own the hot toys animated boba, and the sideshow collectibles prototype version, also I don't have the deluxe sarlacc return of the jedi version and the empire strikes back one as well, My advice to anyone who collects star wars and is thinking about buying a hot toys star wars character, DON'T! one is not enough once you have it on display, it's a rabbit hole, it's bad enough that I collect black series and the vc collection stuff too, bloody hell I need more money.

We never saw his face. Hence why the new fett from BOBF has a removable helmet because temuera became the face of Boba.

The knees are too low on the legs and look awful as soon as you bend them. Along with the grappling hook and bizarre helmet issue this is big mess of a release really. lazy.

8:40 you can actually use the flamethrower effect as a blast effect for the rocket, but it won’t connect to the jet pack at the same time.

They could have done a rocket firing effect in the same way as the Marvel Legends deluxe Warmachine of course with only one rocket firing.

My Boba Fett’s chest armor is deformed at the bottom. It’s skewed diagonally to the right. I see yours is a tad crooked but mine is very noticeable

saw this yesterday, ordered one today... You mentioned something about having to heat your helmet, is that a normal thing to do with most copies?
not 100% of the, but a lot of people experienced helmets that were a little warped. heat fixes them up very easily.
