If you aren't a 1% player, Beacon Rounds is a good option- it's really good for a dad gamer. The thing that's really nice with Beacon Rounds is they let you get hits with little effort. This is really helpful in situations where missing is particularly costly, like you are being rushed by a lot of enemies, or when you are trying to make hits while under fire. BR also, once proc'd lets you use the the thing like a scout rifle, hitting targets across the map. I run BR/Desperate Measures for an easy proc'd damage buff, which you will have almost constant uptime with BR and high enemy density. Lastly, I've noticed that it seems to have a really high % of precision hits if you aim higher. I need to get it craftable or get a Beacon Rounds/Threadling roll to drop, as I think that could be pretty crazy. I had the zone perk on last night in the Pale Heart where strand kills cause threadlings, and it was ridiculous how many threadings I generated, and from a long way aways, very safe distant enemy clearing. I'd say the biggest downside with it, is it runs the risk of making you lazy with your aiming.
This weapon with Slice and the new Titan armor that makes barricades shoot rockets must be amazing. You sever targets and attack with increased DPS together.
I love Slice + Vorpal on this thing with the new titan exotics. Pop your barricade, get 35% boost to rockets which works with The Call, then reduce the damage of any champ or yellow bar you shoot because slice, and extra 15% damage to them because vorpal. The synergy is just insane on that, must have for high tier content imo.
Ive been running Lead from Gold and Desperate Measures with my Banner of War melee titan and holy shit this thing is amazing. Pretty much 100% uptime on a 30% buff that refreshes on kills with the weapon, and ammo never runs out.
Homie forgot it has Desperate Measures. Practically a permanent 30% dmg buff and can activate with it stowed. Melee kills, grenade, or other weapon. Also can refresh so once full it stays until all ads are dead
@@mohbius2 other difference is that Golden requires ability type matching the weapon's type, and that DM is refreshable on any tier with just any kill. it's significantly more accessible than Tricorn and calling it worse Tricorn's a little disingenuous imo lol
@mohbius2 golden tricorn requires ability to match damage type, while desperate doesn't. Thats the trade off. Also i may be wrong, but tricorn you cant refresh with more kills, while desperate can.
@@mohbius2The best part about it is you can refresh the buff with weapon kills. With Tricorn you have to alternate weapon then ability or it falls off. Great if you always have an ability up or if you're sure that ability is going to get a kill. Just some of the main differences!
I use beacon rounds and whatever else is needed. Once proc'd its basically a tracking rocket and you do not need to aim other than their general direction. Plus it gets a damage increase.
Crafted Enhanced Lead From Gold+ Enhanced One for All today. Looked up different god rolls people spoke of and I settled on it. I may have to give this a shot also though. Subsistence on a random roll was a pretty sweet perk too.
Lead from Gold + One for All has been my go to for endgame content like dungeons and raids. Once one for all is up yellow bars go poof. And thanks to Lead from Gold it’s essentially a primary.
Clenching my asshole for the inevitable nerf. Rocket sidearms are SO strong right now there’s no reason to use any other specials. Everyone is using The Call and Indebted Kindness.
Would most likely involve a hit to their reserves if a nerf were to happen, since sidearms have such good ammo economy/reserves for their damage output that they can effectively substitute primaries. It's what makes them so good right now. Not that I of course would want any such nerf to happen.
@@ackers5861 honestly I’d rather a reserves nerf than a damage nerf, they’re in such a good spot right now damage-wise; strong enough to deal with majors from a distance, while shotguns still output more damage with the risk of needing to be close. They strike a nice medium between shotguns and snipers as a fantastic midrange major killer.
I still FULLY believe the call is BETTER than aberrant action because The Call counts as a special weapon so you get the EXTRA gains from strategist, pugilist, and demolitionist whereas with aberrant action its NOT counted as a special weapon so NO extra gains.
the call and no hesitation are glued to my slots rn. no hesitation is just so good. Ran both of those in the new exotic mission and they carried me thru it
My go-to loadout on prismatic Titan has been this, caster frame ergo sum with telesto perk (still waiting for wolfpack rounds version to drop), Apex Predator and the Hazardous Propulsion chest exotic. Works great in both add clear and dps situations.
i'm new at the game and was looking for op guns videos and somehow this video was showcasing the exact 2 guns i was rocking lol, i guess i'll just keep using them 😂
my only problem with this weapon is that the new solar one from this episode looks even better with its perk pool, so as soon as that one is out, i might switch, which is fine because there are a lot of good exotics and other specials in the kinetic slot that i can combine with this
Lead from Gold/Desperate Measures goes nuts. Rocket Sidearms proc ammo finder as a primary so you get lots of heavy, and desperate measures clears for me because you can proc it with it stowed, use it, and then stow it and keep the damage buff when you pull it back out. It also lasts 2x as long as AJ and gets full refreshed.
I never considered Golden Tricorm back in the day because I didn’t want to incorporate ability kills. However with our new prismatic builds with constant ability spam plus the constant easy kills with this gun… I’m just now realizing you could probably proc goldren tricorn essentially endlessly (reproc it after it runs out) just by using it normally. Especially with my prismatic getaway artist bleak watcher build. Using this as a primary your getting constant kills with it… while turrets are getting kills constantly also. Definitely crafting this when I get on tonight.
I just crafted one with both Enhanced Demolitionist and Desperate Measures, the latter because of easy activation and you have 4 four abilities for it (2 from light/darkness and 2 from prismatic). I am using Getaway Artist with Arc Soul and Stasis Turrents and Devour. So filling the battlefield of Stasis Turrents and using Arc Buddy. I am using Sunshot or Red Death Reformed whether Solo, otherwise with teammate I am using No Hesitation with Physic and Desperate Measures. In the Raid that you did show, you don't need to be the paramedic exclusively, the Stasis Turrents and Arc Buddy will help the team do crowd control and be safe and you can help the team with damage too.
I think the only thing that'd stopping me from using this is how much I love still hunt, but even then the call has me considering building around double special
One thing to note with demolishionist is that when on rocket sidearms, it only gives 11% grenade energy instead of the 20%+ that other specials give. Still good but probably better on a primary or slow reloading special.
This paired with a strand warlock and the new journal perk for tangles is probably the most fun I've had in a while adds appear and then disappear in the next second
I use this with double special. So long as your power is a machine gun for when you’re unlucky with green bricks. The sidearm is good with nighthawk prismatic hunter using Still Hunt exotic sniper. Facet of bravery for unraveling rounds, allowing every kill to stealth. Grapple grenade also triggers facet of bravery, it counts as a powered melee when you get a melee kill. build will be even better when golden tricorn works with strand melee and grenade.

Did some of my own testing with Implosion Rounds and some mag options. Implosion rounds and/or blast radius/velocity appear to have no effect on damage dealt on Carl. Tested with two crafted exact copies (minus implosion rounds for tact mag on the second) and same light level (1990) and vorpal weapon. No damage changes between the two were seen. 2502 for impact and 11553 for the explosion. Hazardous Propulsion did bump those numbers at max hits with 3377 impact and 15596 explosion damage. Now, similar to Indebted Kindness. Magazine size can change your reserves. Numbers are gonna read “base/x3 reserves” Tactical Mag: 51/65 (51 no backup mag mod) Extended Mag: 48/61 Appended Mag: 44/56 Implosion Rounds: 47/60 (46 no backup mag mod)
I first crafted a beacon hatchling roll which is good but my go to has been subsistence+vorpal. In salvations edge I was doing the center plates but I was also a lament strongholds user. That phalanx shield is a pain to deal with. For some reason laments anti-barrier just doesn't work great on it so I crafted that subsistence vorpal roll and its been my favorite. But now that we are out of contest and dont need me on strong holds I just use witherhoard.
The only thing I don't understand about golden tricorn is it doesn't go to x2 on Prismatic unless you're super is also the same element of the gun. It should just work as long as your melee or grenade matches the element of your gun, not your super
Oh that’s what’s happening, for the life of me I could not get golden tricorn to work even though I was getting matching ability kills, it being tied to the super makes no sense
I got a hatchling substance roll and it's amazing for a threadling build. Getting headshots are pretty easy since it has such high aim assist due to it not being hit scan (I think). Plus never having to reload makes it perfect for just strolling around with devor occasionally shooting whatever your minions don't finish off. That gun lives in my primary slot and right now nothing is replacing it
I’ve been using slice and one for all on my warlock prismatic grenade spam build. The grenade recharge on that build is already so insane that I find slice provides more utility, especially given the fact that I use phoenix dive instead of rift for more uptime.
I ran my legendary campaing using it with a swarmers broodweaver and tesselation (bc of the catalyst) and it was a cakewalk. The call with demo generates nade energy like crazy and tesselation not only hits like a truck, but it also severs, produces threadlings (thread of rebirth), creates perched threadlings (weavers call), unravels AND refunds grenade energy all at the same time. Its a lot of fun
Have to say i think Desperate Measures is overlooked on this weapon. With double special you're alternating between weapons frequently and spamming abilities to control your ammo, so the fact that Desperate Measures can activate while stowed and from abilities means it probably has better uptime than One for All.
Slice is great on the combination blow prismatic hunter build, I just can’t figure out how to guarantee the severed enemy spawns a tangle. So far it feels like anything that dies in one shot while Slice is up does not spawn a tangle on kill.
I've been using this with the new chest titan exotic, Hazardous Propulsion. The strategist and one for all combo has been nice to spam with thruster. OFA procs with one hit. A nice combo after getting max stacks is Exodus rocket, (proc rocket damage), then hit them with Dragon's Breath, and spam the Call with OFA. Melts majors and mini bosses.
To me this is one of the best guns Bungie has ever made. Especially as a solo player it takes chunks of life from majors and bosses BIG time. I myself never take this gun off, your absolutely right it is extremely good.
The part about not running an exotic I totally felt lol I have been running nothing but the call, no hesitation and pro memoria machine gun on my warlock build because it has just been that good
Slice with One for all or Golden Tricorn on hunter with Stylish Executioner is a BEAST! Slice right now is GOD TIER because not only are you causing the enemy to output less damage, you’re also applying a darkness debuff to enemies which synergies in sooo many ways with Prismatic
slice is so nice for making tangles and hunter/titan can activate it so easily. I've been running one for all but it feels unnecessary against anything other than majors. I haven't run into any non major enemies where the one for all reduces my shots to kill, and against those enemies I'm always using abilities to take out most of the health. I honestly might take vorpal for the free damage bonus when cleaning up high health enemies.
I love Golden Tricorn or Desperate Measures with Demo or Strategist for Strand Grapple Melee Builds myself. For pinnacle activities though lead from gold + vorpal is my go to for that passive damage and what seems like an unlimited flow of ammo with LFG.
Golden Tricorn does work on prismatic, but you have to have a matching super as well, which is probably still a bug, but having Needlestorm super equipped and using Arcane Spike melee does proc x2 Golden Tricorn
I have a “beacon rounds+vorpal” perks and I think it’s incredible. Shots I should have missed tracked real well and damage has always been respectable. I paired that with “buried bloodline” and it carried me through the legendary campaign. I honestly can’t take them off. The heavy can be whatever you want.
Been using desperate measures and slice on liar’s prismatic hunter. Tricorn requires using mostly if not all strand abilities for what is only a slightly more powerful damage buff. Imo DM is better for prismatic since it doesn’t require matching elements. Also slice gives even more invis uptime, in addition to more survivability
The game counts it as a primary in terms of ammo drops. Using this with double special will result in the same amount of special bricks. Lead from gold helps with ammo economy too
My first drop of this was Lead from Gold and Vorpal. I liked it enough to use for the entire legend campaign. I know when I get the pattern it will be better.
God dammit I thought GT wasn't doing anything! Im glad I haven't Crafted it yet! Indebted Kindness with Voltshot is so utterly ridiculous it's been glued to my Guardians! I'm waiting for a Solar Demo x Incandescent one!!
Lead from gold + 2x strand reserves gives 70 bullet total! (72 with 3x strand reserves) But not worth using 3. Better off with one extra reserves for heavy weapon.
I've been rocking this with the Enhanced Beacon Rounds and Desperate Measures with the new Titan Exotic, and Gjallarhorn. Build up the stacks for the Exotic chest, Air dodge, swap to GH fire a rocket then switch back to The call and unload and get all the extra damage bonuses.
I find it so strange that he talks up Demolitionist and Golden Tricorn (forcing Strand), when Desperate Measures is literally right there. Weaking Vortex grenades and Prismatic grenades are so strong on Warlock and loop seamlessly with Demo+Devour.
Lead from gold + Desperate Measures: constant 30% damage buff and heavy ammo (this is not theory, used in legend on hunter). Strategist + OFA. Crafted this for my titan for infinite Hazardous rockets. Demo + Adrenaline Junkie. This one for solely my Contraverse weaken grenades. Seriously this gun is just on another level for buildcrafting.
Not sure if you found out yet, but it looks like you dont have to match the element of the gun with your ability damage, just your super has to match the gun if I've tested correctly, guessing its a bug due to not needing to worry about prismatic before.
Lately the one time I swap to an exotic weapon is when I run out of ammo on both heavy and special, just swap get one precision kill and spawn double bricks on the first kill and continue on.
I find this weapon is just glued to my hands on Warlock, anyone else?

That phalanx shield is a pain to deal with. For some reason laments anti-barrier just doesn't work great on it so I crafted that subsistence vorpal roll and its been my favorite. But now that we are out of contest and dont need me on strong holds I just use witherhoard.
I was most excited for this weapon coming into TFS. I didn't disappoint. I've crafted one for each character.
The only thing I don't understand about golden tricorn is it doesn't go to x2 on Prismatic unless you're super is also the same element of the gun.
It should just work as long as your melee or grenade matches the element of your gun, not your super
Oh that’s what’s happening, for the life of me I could not get golden tricorn to work even though I was getting matching ability kills, it being tied to the super makes no sense
the getaway artist + stasis turret and devour combo is absolutely insane, i didnt even realize it worked like that😭
Yes, exactly. This, No Hesitation and for me, Hullabaloo.
I run the call, indebted kindness and pro memoria on my hunter 😂 I’ll switch off to the hunt when a boss pops up
I ran my legendary campaing using it with a swarmers broodweaver and tesselation (bc of the catalyst) and it was a cakewalk.
The call with demo generates nade energy like crazy and tesselation not only hits like a truck, but it also severs, produces threadlings (thread of rebirth), creates perched threadlings (weavers call), unravels AND refunds grenade energy all at the same time.
Its a lot of fun
How can this be better than indebted kindness, that gun is so good.
Have to say i think Desperate Measures is overlooked on this weapon. With double special you're alternating between weapons frequently and spamming abilities to control your ammo, so the fact that Desperate Measures can activate while stowed and from abilities means it probably has better uptime than One for All.
My first one was Vorpal/Demolitionist. Helped me through the legendary campaign easily.
ive been running the call, no hesitation and thunderlord/dragons breath and it is so good! the origin perk for those guns is really crazy too
Slice is great on the combination blow prismatic hunter build, I just can’t figure out how to guarantee the severed enemy spawns a tangle.
So far it feels like anything that dies in one shot while Slice is up does not spawn a tangle on kill.
Grapple nade with melee spawns tangles for me
I’d have to pry this from my hunter’s cold, dead hands after his final death
I've been using this with the new chest titan exotic, Hazardous Propulsion. The strategist and one for all combo has been nice to spam with thruster. OFA procs with one hit. A nice combo after getting max stacks is Exodus rocket, (proc rocket damage), then hit them with Dragon's Breath, and spam the Call with OFA. Melts majors and mini bosses.
Running this with slice and the prismatic hunter liar's combination blow build is amazing. Slice literally always active
The most annoying thing with this gun is that no one can decide what the god roll is. Every content creator has a different roll crafted
It’s One for All + Demo
or One for All + Lead depending on the build
I think that’s the best thing about it. It’s so dayum good.
Use Strategist if you are a Titan to help get that class ability ready for missiles from the new chest piece.
To me this is one of the best guns Bungie has ever made. Especially as a solo player it takes chunks of life from majors and bosses BIG time. I myself never take this gun off, your absolutely right it is extremely good.
This weapon is great and I’ve got a crafted enhanced roll but indebted kindness with voltshot is just glue to my fingers.
Yeah…as soon as I got that first one I knew, we stepped into a war with the cabal
Beacon rounds, desperate measures 🔥
When “ADS is for poor people” kicks in
Turns it into a sniper with rounds hunting down distant and flying enemies. So good!
Slice / Vorpal. Warlock prismatic. Phoenix dive get lava buddy, trigger slice. Sliced of fried gold. Whoop woop
The build you have on at the end is crazy
the ammo economy and the damage output is so good. LfG + OfA is my prefered roll but enhanced Demo is great for prismatic builds etc.
In the legendary campaign, when they give you the weapon as a reward early on, i git demo/all for one, and it carried me so hard
slice is so nice for making tangles and hunter/titan can activate it so easily.
So many fantastic rolls on this gun.
I crafted a enhanced subsistence/vorpal and it’s amazing. Never reload when killing normal red/yellow enemies, extra punch on bosses
I love subsistance on it. You never have to reload as every kill reloads shots
Buried blood line and the call putting in work. Never taking them off.
I love Golden Tricorn or Desperate Measures with Demo or Strategist for Strand Grapple Melee Builds myself. For pinnacle activities though lead from gold + vorpal is my go to for that passive damage and what seems like an unlimited flow of ammo with LFG.
Warlock here, this weapon was my actual first drop of the new DLC, immedetely equipped it, subsistence Vorpal, have NOT taken it off once yet lol
Rocket sidearms in general are just so damn good
Need to know what that yellow and black shader you have on it and no hesitation was 🔥
The game counts it as a primary in terms of ammo drops. Using this with double special will result in the same amount of special bricks. Lead from gold helps with ammo economy too
Honestly, Pocket Rockets were super efficient during legendary campaign. Indebted Kindness and The Call never left my inventory.
My first drop of this was Lead from Gold and Vorpal. I liked it enough to use for the entire legend campaign. I know when I get the pattern it will be better.
I crafted a beacon/hatchling role. I agree I can’t take it off. So good!
(72 with 3x strand reserves)
But not worth using 3.
Coral! Insert Rick Grimes Meme here.
Not sure if you found out yet, but it looks like you dont have to match the element of the gun with your ability damage, just your super has to match the gun if I've tested correctly, guessing its a bug due to not needing to worry about prismatic before.
I’m loving slice vorpal with stylish executioner atm as a yellow bar debuff / melt weapon with invis after
I love this gun. I use subsistence/ one for all and it slaps
The Call the perfect Pitch and Microcosm has been CARRYING me with Battle Harmony and Apotheosis Exotic class item has been insane 😭😭
Lately the one time I swap to an exotic weapon is when I run out of ammo on both heavy and special, just swap get one precision kill and spawn double bricks on the first kill and continue on.
Carried me through the legendary campaign and I still use it for everything.
Good vid. Thoughts on blast radius and velocity?
