I was wearing a Frank Drebin t-shirt one day while walking through a Home Depot. Someone tapped me on the shoulder and said, "I just want you to know, we're all counting on you, " which is a quote from Leslie Nielsen's character in Airplane, but still funny.
Nielsen was so good in these roles!

The irony is that David Zucker's (the director of this movie & the 1st movie) brother Jerry actually directed Ghost.
To Serve Man was a reference to a Twilight Zone episode of the same name & that's the same actor who starred in that episode.

With all the "first time reaction" channels that are out there, I have to say that I enjoy these two ladies the most.
For one, I don't get any fraudulent vibes from them. I pretty much believe that they are actually seeing these movies for the first time. I don't find that to be the case with most other channels. I think many of the other reaction channel hosts are well versed in the movies they are "first time" viewing, and their reactions appear to be scripted and rehearsed.
With these two ladies, I'm not getting that impression. It seems genuine.
Also they are a couple of cuties and a delight to listen to.

I highly recommend watching the original TV series episodes that came out before the movies, and set them up to a degree. The "Naked Gun" trilogy is a classic in slapstick comedy. BTW, you still need to view Leslie's first big film, "Forbidden Planet", to understand how he was a straight, non-comedic actor in the beginning before becoming such a legend of comedy. The scene of Frank being accosted by the jocks while beating up the professor in the wheelchair was a nod to the classic "Dirty Rotten Scoundrels" film and the rotating guitars scene was taken from "The Three Amigos" and "To Serve Man" is from a famous "Twilight Zone" episode. Unfortunately, spoof movies can't be made now, especially in the last 10 years, due to DEI and political correctness culture. They can't stand being having humor that is offensive to their state of mind and laughter is foreign to them. They would be totally offended by classics like "Dirty Rotten Scoundrels", "Blazing Saddles", "Real Genius", "UHF" and so many others.

I think a couple of very good actors went unnoticed in this film. First, the late great character actor, Anthony James (who Frank turned into a giant water balloon) played Ralph, the actual murderer In the Heat of the Night. He worked at the diner and was always tormenting Warren Oates with those pies. The other was Crispin Glover, cast as George Herbert Walker Bush. He was Michael J. Foxes' dad in Back to the Future and was the quintessential nerd of all time. These are two of my very favorite bit players and they deserved greater attention.

Davy Crockett is actually played by the director, David Zucker, who is a great fan of him and collects memorabilia, including letters. Zucker is a great prankster too:
"As a prank I once had a fake Crockett letter made up and I had my friend Bobby Weil pretend to be looking it over with a cup of coffee in hand. Everyone was saying, “You better put that coffee down you might spill it.” Another friend was enlisted to open the door behind him and bump him so Bobby would spill coffee all over the letter. I wasn’t there and the plan was I would come in and they would have to explain it to me. Weil then tried to wipe it off and it just all made it worse. A group of guys just drove off, they were so upset. That was a pretty great scene."
About his appearance in the film, he says: "The most fun I’ve ever had was when I played Davy Crockett in Naked Gun 2 1/2. I don’t think you need any more evidence how pathetic my life is."

Before becoming Chief of Staff to George H.W. Bush, John H Sununu was governor of New Hampshire. His two sons followed him into politics. John E Sununu was a U.S. Senator for New Hampshire, and Chris Sununu is the current governor of New Hampshire. Another fun fact: Sununu stole thousands of dollars in personal travel from the United States military while working in the White House.

Funny you talked at the end about movies like these being made today... it just so happens they actually ARE formulating a Naked Gun reboot... (I think...though it's still not all confirmed)
Seth MacFarlane and Liam Neeson are involved...and even Pamela Anderson, I think I heard 😄

You guys should do 3 reactions to the 90's Ninja Turtles trilogy and have boxes of pizzas while watching them
And do a reaction to Bruce Willis in "RED"

"Never bet on the white guy" geeeeez when jokes were just jokes, still LMAO at that one.
Can`t make that today, all the PC wokeness ruining comedy.

40:18 "I- I think, if they would, like, make clever movies like this again I- like, I feel like there would be a, a _market_ for it."
Oh, there's _always_ a market for satire.

❤ I have a movie recommendation the oddball comedy MARS ATTACKS. I would that be a good one for a first watch ❓ Some of my favorite spoof movies the Naked Gun series and it’s good you got some laughs and enjoyed. Just have to not think of OJ the real person when watching it. Hard to believe Leslie Neilson was a serious actor one point.

Leslie Nelson was i guest from the western Pennsylvania area. He spilled his coffee down my my grandmother back during a basketball game and just started laughing. My grandma tried to beat him up. People stopped her. Lol i wish I was there i would have been on the floor cracking up.

10:17 It IS a Casablanca reference, but then he's playing a song from The Wizard of Oz, so two references in one.

Most people like the first one better, but I really do prefer this one. To me, this one was just the right amount of absurdity and some incredible sight gags.
I do hope you'll check out the third one as well. In my opinion, it's the weakest one, but still very funny.

If you like the Naked Gun movies then you need to watch "Top Secret!". Same type of humour only even more absurd.

Nope. That's not the best sex scene you've ever seen. It's a close 2nd to the one in Wrongfully Accused, also starring Leslie Nielsen

The Red was losing during the sex scene, it was almost the same fun to see her "i can't" in this reaction. Too bad you cut a little in that part, I would love to see her full reaction. Well, we had the next best thing. See ya.

25:59 What's funny is that this isn't too far removed from how they train tanker captains. There's places with miniture ships which they sit in and navigate from.

    More Parodys: Top Secret (1984)
    Loaded Weapon 1 (1993) + 2
Hot Shots 1 + 2 (1991+1993) The second part is actually even better than the first.
