You are so welcome! I love all animals too! I am sure your Sam is wonderful! Thank you from Espy! So glad to hear what you learned! Thanks for keeping in touch with me!
Hi Tanya. Did you swim in those waters,? I misunderstood that part of the story. Because you mentioned a fire, a safe place in the hill.. winter or summer? new words: heading? jailbait, dog paddling...Here in Argentina the gap in ages doesn't mean something ilegal. Even famous people are said to be engaged in this kind of situation. Nice experience yours. Lovely dog Espy. Cariños Tania, Susana desde Argentina. (might have written kinda instead of kind of'? pardon me dear Tania)
Susana, I have a question - it wasn't the age gap that was the problem. Lots of people in the USA have large age gaps. The issue here is that the girl with me is a child. She was only 14 years old. Is it okay for adults in Argentina to date, etc. children? Is there a different age that determines when someone is no longer a child? In the USA, people are considered legally an adult at age 18. So glad to hear you learned new words. I use both kind of and kinda. Depends on the feel I am looking for. No apology needed 😊 It's always great to hear from you!

Tanya, I sometimes have trouble understanding the nuances of the English language. Is my understanding correct? The difference between “hit on” and “hit it off” is significant: Hit on: This phrase means to try to seduce or flirt with someone romantically or sexually. It implies a direct approach, often with the intention of initiating a romantic or sexual relationship. The person being “hit on” may or may not reciprocate the advances. Hit it off: This phrase describes an instance where two people quickly develop a strong rapport and connection, usually characterized by mutual liking and understanding. It implies a natural and easy connection, often leading to friendship, but not necessarily romance or sex. The emphasis is on the instant connection, not a deliberate attempt at seduction. In short: “hit on” is about a deliberate attempt at romantic or sexual pursuit; “hit it off” is about an instant and easy connection, often leading to friendship.
Yes, that is basically right. However, I would say that sometime we use the phrase "to hit it off" even if it is not instant or immediate. For example, we didn't really like each other at first. It took awhile, but we finally hit it off.
Dear Tanya! An evening in the countryside at a campfire, what could be more romantic? When a young man is looking for a life partner in such an environment, it is normal. Maybe you should have warned your friends right away, at the beginning of the hike, that this girl is only fourteen years old? After all, it could have led to criminal liability. If I were these guys, I would have asked her for ID.
Hi Tanya. Here only in cases of kidnapping, raping, sexual abuse, the law is infringed. Nevertheless there are many models, very young, who are in a relationship with older men. Besides there is a new phenomenum since some years back: maternity at the age of teen or younger, obviously in part due to raping. In addition, at 16 years people are allowed to vote in governmental elections, in spite of reaching the majority of age at 18.??? A kiss dear teacher. Susana.
These things are similar here in the USA as well. Just because we have the law doesn't mean the someone will get in trouble for dating or even have a sexual relationship with a minor, especially if both people are in agreement about it and the parents of the minor are okay with it. But, it is risky, because you could get in trouble even if the other people just get mad at you because the law is in place.
Americans are always surprising to me. In Russia, a young man simply expressing interest in a woman isn’t a crime. Russian law prohibits sexual intercourse and other sexual acts with a person under the age of sixteen. This carries a potential prison sentence of up to four years. However, there’s no punishment for simply going on a date.
I would say that is very similar to the USA. Expressing interest isn't a crime. It depends on how it is done (appropriately or inappropriately) and in what context (social or work environment). Expressing romantic or sexual interest on the job is not considered appropriate in the USA. My question to think about would be, why would it be okay to express romantic or sexual interest in a child?
I am so happy every day watching the videos❤❤❤😊😊 thank you so much

Hmmmmm....I'm thinking if there is liability involved I typically take it upon myself to find out the facts before I leap.
