The most love-filled videos. You always make me feel so much better! Never take them for granted. As someone who lost three children it means so much to me to see someone cherish what they have. Love to you and your family...er.. pack. ♥️👍👏
Brilliant , as a Canine behaviourist and dog trainer here in the UK , I salute you Sir , we have Dog lovers and Dog knowers , you clearly are both !...Every prospective dog owner[ or expectant existing dog owners] should follow your example .Outstanding.
You have the most beautiful family! You've really helped us help our Ridgeback too. She's having a hard time when my nephew comes over (terrified of him for some reason)...but I try to use some of your techniques and she's starting to warm up to him. Specially when my nephew has food. Lol
It's not easy having energetic dogs and energetic kids in close proximity - especially when they don't have the chance to practice regularly. But as we've both learned, food is the ultimate olive branch!
You have a perfect relationship going there, it's brilliant. Love to watch your videos, both your son and the dogs obviously live in a very loving safe environment. Thanks again for the videos. Josie, my Ridgeback, hasn't seen this one yet.. She's asleep!
Brilliant my friend ,my dog is a massive bullweiller 12stone and my kids and him are brothers . mischief together and I trained him the same way ,no possession issues and they can walk him and he stays behind them .so good
Hey guys 😊, came across your channel and it's very cool. I lost my doberman in February and we're waiting to move house and get a Ridgeback. Glad I found your channel
What a great video to start my morning/weekend! So thanks for that. So cute. "A little wiggle butt with energy ", haha, that's what I call my pup all the time. Keep these awesome videos coming. Have a wonderful day everyone.
Marking Our Territory. And it's contagious haha. When my nephews were little they couldn't sit still when we had music on. Lots of wiggles. Haha makes me smile. Cute kid by the way!
I never liked videos let alone comment on videos however I cannot watch this video and not comment I love this video I also love how you understand how to train dogs to be around your kids and your kids to be around dogs very good video more people should raise their animals like this as the lowest on the totem pole in a family unit but none-the-less a vital part of that family unit
Beautiful Ridgies and very well trained. I wouldn't trust mine to not secretly steel food from a child; she secretly steals food from anywhere! An adorable little boy and a great relationship with dogs. I grew up with Dobermanns and Alsatians and both breeds were always my best friends. Ridgebacks though are now my clear favourite breed - my dog is so similar in looks to these two.
I trained our kids and dog the same way. When the dog was young, I would regularly take a favorite treat out of her mouth, look at it while talking to her, and ALWAYS gave it back. My kids were taught to never abuse that trust. Toddlers could reach into her bowl while she was eating and she was comfortable with that. Molly was a German Short Hair cross and we had her for 13+ years. You're dogs are awesome. TH-camr "Sister Kate Shofar Mountain" has a video titled "Update" and at 8:02 you see nine wonderful Ridgeback puppies. I've looked at those puppies at least 20 times in the last couple of days.
Great stuff! Just for your info we have two Rhodesian Ridgebacks IN the house too, and two kids! Never had an issue with it so far, perfect combination, enjoy ;)
I had a female ridgeback back when my kids were young and NEVER had any dominance issue with her at all.Maybe because she was a pup when I got her.She was as kind and gentile with the neighbors kids also. One time a little girl, who we had never seen before, crashed her bicycle in front of our house and Ginger(our ridgeback)ran past the front door and made a B- line for the kid.I panicked because the kid was screaming really loud and I was not sure what Ginger would do.When ginger got to the little girl she just licked her face to console her.I loved that Dog.
I have recently come across your videos. I love your RR philosophy. Such poetry, love and also life wisdom. Thank you. Ps what are family member names apart from Lincoln?
Thanks! Currently, my guys are on Purina Proplan, but I don't like making blanket food recommendations. It works for them right now, but every dog is different. Once Link is a bit older I'm considering to switching them over to raw to see how they do, but tbd.
Just make sure you are ready for one. They are great dogs but they do take some work and are very fast and powerful. The first year can be a little ruff but gets better after that. My Ridgeback Bella is 1 1/2 years old and the best dog I've ever had. I love these videos because they remind me of my dog. When you look into a Ridgeback's eyes you can tell they have a lot going on in their head. That first year they like to chew stuff apart one thread at a time. If they spot one loose thread on a rug it's game on!
We are in the land Downunder. We mostly feed BARF diet. Bones and raw food. Raw meat (beef, lamb, kangaroo, chicken) offal, vegies. Bones RAW and small animal. Chicken frames are favourite
Good to see people being sensible with their kids and their dogs 🐕 It’s alarming how many people buy animals to entertain their small children and wonder why it all goes wrong! Unfortunately the animal always gets blamed!!
I have a few questions for you about my ridgeback that I just adopted.. wondering if you have an email you give out for people to reach out to you with questions. Thanks
I just want to make sure you got my email. You don’t have to respond right away I know you have a family just want to make sure I sent to the right email. Thanks again
Not such a good idea to let your youngster play with the dogs' food at meal times. You may want to watch this to see what happens when dogs flip, in this case a passive Labrador: th-cam.com/video/9ihXq_WwiWM/w-d-xo.html. We had a Ridgeback and I love them to bits, but I was also attacked by a Ridgeback that jumped a fence and went for my side as I walked past the house with my wife. My mother had a chunk bitten out of her leg by a Ridgeback mix.
There's a lot of nuance to the conversation, but the situations are drastically different. I've raised both my guys from puppies and work to remove any resource guarding behavior from day one home. They've never exhibited anything resembling the intense reactivity in the video. While I don't leave my son unsupervised with the dogs, each day he helps me feed them and build a positive bond/association.
Perfect example of a responsible human parent and fur baby parent. Love your videos please keep it up the good work.
This was gorgeous! Keep up the good work, great dogs, precious boy, admirable parenting of both!!!
love these video. it reminds me of when my nephew was born my dog smiles at him all the time she see him.
The most love-filled videos. You always make me feel so much better! Never take them for granted. As someone who lost three children it means so much to me to see someone cherish what they have. Love to you and your family...er.. pack. ♥️👍👏
My ridgeback passed away 2 days ago, this video is beautiful thanks for uploading. They are the best dogs you could ask for.
How are you doing now that it's been five months? Have you gotten another RR or another breed yet, or is it still too soon?
So very sorry for your loss 😖
Rips to ur dog I’m sorry for ur loss :(
Beautiful video! I can't believe how big Zero is and how fast Lincoln is growing up. You have a beautiful family ❤️
Brilliant , as a Canine behaviourist and dog trainer here in the UK , I salute you Sir , we have Dog lovers and Dog knowers , you clearly are both !...Every prospective dog owner[ or expectant existing dog owners] should follow your example .Outstanding.
Well done. Really enjoyed the way you raise your big guys! A lesson for a lot of dog owners. Cheers!!
You have the best philosophy about dogs and kids i have ever seen aplied. Keep spreading it. You have an incredible family.
Best regards Max
Thanks for the kind words!
Avery time I watch your videos you give me a smile on my face I am so glad you got rr

Couldn't agree more! Your pups are gorgeous...you represent this breed so well.
I love your son he's so adorable he's really making me laugh is so funny especially when he hides in his hiding spot
You have a perfect relationship going there, it's brilliant.

The wiggle butt gene is definitely a cross species phenomenon!
Marking Our Territory. And it's contagious haha. When my nephews were little they couldn't sit still when we had music on. Lots of wiggles. Haha makes me smile. Cute kid by the way!
Fantastic! I’m so glad you continue to make videos!

So adorable! I absolutely love following you all on Instagram and seeing your posts and progress. One day I will be like you!
Thank heavens! I had my little girl with two Weimaraner. You do it right!

Thanks! I may be a bit biased, but like you I think all species grow up better together!
I love your channel, and your dogs!
Amazing video as ever... keep up the good work👍👍👍
Thank you!
Great stuff!
Just for your info we have two Rhodesian Ridgebacks IN the house too, and two kids!
Never had an issue with it so far, perfect combination, enjoy ;)
A perfect balance indeed!
Outstanding vid .
You're truly blessed ❤!
I feel very fortunate to have such loving creatures of all species to call my family
@@MarkingOurTerritory , Blessed ,or the result of hard work , compassionate understanding and a positive position, I think the latter .
God bless all of you
I love your videos and you have given me great tips. Thank you so much!
I got my RR when my twins were 3 years old, they grew up as a family, I recommend mixing dogs and kids in a controlled environment to all.
I was also born into a family with 2 Rhodesian ridgebacks :D
I had a female ridgeback back when my kids were young and NEVER had any dominance issue with her at all.Maybe because she was a pup when I got her.She was as kind and gentile with the neighbors kids also. One time a little girl, who we had never seen before, crashed her bicycle in front of our house and Ginger(our ridgeback)ran past the front door and made a B- line for the kid.I panicked because the kid was screaming really loud and I was not sure what Ginger would do.When ginger got to the little girl she just licked her face to console her.I loved that Dog.
Excellent. U got it. Love it.
The greatest part was when the dog jumped over the baby. Their awareness is amazing
I will only ever have Ridgebacks in my eyes they are the best.
I had to euthanise my ridgeback in 2007. watching these videos, I get a lump in my throat!!! Beautiful dogs!! So loving!!
i love this channel plus i have subscribed!!
Thanks! Glad you enjoy our adventures
Cool videos of your family bro !
Great title 👍 I'll watch later, just thought I'd say heck yeah 😁

Great video
Waar zijn de nieuwe verhalen en beelden 2022?
Beautiful!
I love your videos and I am definitely considering getting a Ridgeback next year. What food do you feed them?
Thanks! Currently, my guys are on Purina Proplan, but I don't like making blanket food recommendations. It works for them right now, but every dog is different. Once Link is a bit older I'm considering to switching them over to raw to see how they do, but tbd.
Just make sure to not get dog food with grains in it, the gas will make you pay.

The responsibility isn't on the animals or the kids, it's our responsibility as adults to properly care for both - individually and together
Sir what is the number of dogs attacking humans to humans harming dogs especially children ? THANKS FOR THE VIDEO
Perfect
Where can you find a ridgeback breeder. We are in WI not too fat away
markingourterritory.com/2017/02/28/everything-you-need-to-know-about-getting-a-rhodesian-ridgeback/
are Rhodesians good guard dogs?
That means that ridgebacks are good with kids but of course watched over supervised.
I'm Working On My Toddler And Our Eurasian Lynx ... Not Going As Well As I Imagined. Anyways, Hope Springs Eternal Right ?
Ridgeys 🥰🥰🥰🥰

When Romulus and Remus were raised by the wolfs what if the rr raised them
where is eko
Dogtastic.
😍
Lol @1:36
The wiggle kills me every time
Marking Our Territory I imagine he learnt that from the dogs because my Ridgie had a very pronounced wiggle when excited.
We have a ridge back

But I don’t think they existed at that age
