Paul you may be interested to know... Statute: Quia Emptres = Abolished "subinfeudation" passed 1290 by Edward 1st. Also look within any Lease for the statement "seised of Fee Simple on possession free from incumberance" This means once the Mortgage has been redeemed for the considered sum between lender & borrower - it is the borrowers for the remaining Yrs of the Lease. Any Leases before 31/7/1990 are on the old system for how Title Deeds are drawn up.
Very sweet lecturers you girl. Do as much as you can . You are making Law lessons very seet enjoyable and fast to be learnt. Please expose your self to the extent that your lecturers should be accessable. If you see this comment , respond. Iam very hungry to access these.
At Trafalgar court in Mundesley-- the Freeholder signed up with a drink and drug clinic, leaseholders were terrified, the freeholder offered leaseholders £2,500 for their flats. We have been going to the LVT for twelve years, utter nightmare, leasehold is a 800 year old feudal system dating back to King John who under threat from his knights, he awarded his knights lands and castles, so leaseholders are the surfs and freeholders are the knights!
I like your channel. I am headache with the lease land 999 years from 1998, restrictive covenants not to carry out any developments. I want to build some houses at the land. How can I do ?
How does the old legal terms apply today? It seems most apparent that the difference between Tenant and Leaseholder are being lumped together which is both unjust and misleading. To right any wrong you have Maxims which can't be ignored. Eg Nunc pro tunc... very handy if you've been stitched. We all have the right to remedy.
Interestingly enough I saw a report on sociopaths--- they mainly choose careers in areas that are not highly regulated ie banking and I have seen many in leasehold, freeholders and managing agents can have criminal records CCJ's etc and practice, as there is little to stop them.
I started law school in September 2016 and your seminars/lectures are so helpful. LLB is so academic and law school is the real stuff. Thank you
