Liverpool have had some shocking decisions go against them for the last few years, but every club has had decisions go against them. Liverpool have had some luck go their way too, maybe not through VAR, but just some other things. Like last season, the Sheff Utd keeper spilling an easy shot, Leicester giving away a soft penalty right at the end of the game, and so on. Fulham have had some poor decisions go against s too. There's no conspiracy. It's just that the VAR decision making process (not VAR itself) is an absolute shambles. However, Football has existed for 150 years, and VAR has existed for less than three of those years, so it will improve, but right now it is a shambles, no doubt.

I think the vvd decision was so bad not sending off Pickford and giving a pen, as Peter Walton said, the offside did not matter as it was dangerous play a red card should’ve been given, look at the pen Utd got at Brighton, the game had finished and Utd got a pen

Well I think any team that looses their whole defensive back line would struggle. Its no coincidence that the team that wins the league is always the team without injuries to their starting 11 ! Fact

They're not excuses, they're reasons. When the champions drop off a cliff everyone starts to try and figure out why. Liverpool haven't played well without fans, it's not an excuse because no team has fans, but it could partly why they are just so bad. You have to ask why they struggle worse than others, it's a reason but it's not acceptable.
When things were going well, VAR decisions went their way, or if they didn't it was in a game they were ahead and comfortable. But when you're struggling, they go against you. It's not an excuse, every team feels like this.
They will have 1 of the CBs back for the start of the new season. They will have Hendo back, a summer with money to buy players, god willing fans back... all these reasons will be gone and we will see if they compete with City and others or it was a flash in the pan. Time will tell.
Saying that James is as good as Trent in terms of end product is absurd. No RB in the league is as productive as Trent. Broke records for assists the last 2 years
His delivery is just as good though and if Werner wasn’t a plank he’d probably be in double digits for assists this season! That’s not taking away from Trent who’s been phenomenal James is better at the dirty side of the game

During Liverpool's first game against Leeds, the ball bounced off Koch's knee and hit his arm, Liverpool got a penalty. That rule has since been changed, Liverpool benefited from that VAR decision. You win some you loze some.

A right back who can't defend ? Isnt a right back a defensive position ? Also he won't be as effective playing for england because the system isnt build around the full backs being the main playmakers as it is with liverpool.
@@daltonpolius6597 it’s a myth that trent “can’t” defend he’s not even bad defensively he’s had some really good games eg wolves he was amazing defensively and against villa he was solid and going forward there is no one better in the world in that position

@@user-fd5bf6nj4y he's definitely improved his defensive game compared to when he first came into the team, possibly at the detriment to his attacking game. I don't know what Southgate prefers but I do think Kyle Walker is better all rounder than other choices. He'll have tough choices for future international games, there's plenty of time for all the named players to improve before then. TAA should be in the squad.

Trent = more assists than any other fullback in decades. He's played against the best teams for 3 years and he's 22.
Reece = at the beginning of his career, hasn't had the the same experience (yet) or shown the same figures (yet)

But in terms of "more complete," I'd like to see him play more first. He doesn't play week-in week-out at Chelsea this year, or last year. He's rotated in and out. Which is great he's young. I love the lad, but I still Trent has done so much in that time.

Reece James is as good as trent in his delivery, it's gone under the radar for a lot of other clubs fans although not as good at set plays, both have an eye for goal too, personally I think you have to take trent to the euros as he has proven himself to be good enough. For me he could do a job playing infront of James
@@paulw6183 I think that you'd play one or the other in a back 5 and England are blessed to have both real genuine attacking players. But, I agree, you could definitely bring one on and play them in front of the other if you needed to hold a lead.

How much are they likely to cost?
If Chelsea aren't going to extend Giroud contract I'd be inclined to offer him a year or two and extend Cavani for another year. Have experience up front and get problem positions sorted cdm, rw and CB.
Greenwood could learn alot from those two. Don't know how likely any of that is though.

United need a right winger, a younger ‘Matic’ and a No.9, especially if Cavani leaves. You can never win titles with a weak midfield of Mctominay and Fred.

The problem is; the old mantra is there for a reason... "you are only as good as your last game". This season, TAA hasn't been head and shoulders above.
The problem is that he isnt a great "allround" fullback, defensively he simply is not as good as any of the other top options for England.
When he is onform, his crossing is elite; but that is his primary attribute. Outside of that, yes his link up play is very good, but no better than players like James, who is a far better defensive option. This season so far James has 5 assists to Alexander-Arnolds 6; so at present, they are comparable with assists, comparable with link up play, but James offers far more defensively (despite still not being a defensive fullback).
Who knows if that will stay the case, or if TAA will even stay a fullback? But atm, it is absolutely the right call to not have him in the England squad.

I can think of 3 bad calls on var for Liverpool this year. Which is probably about the same for every other club.
Apparently they have had 10 calls against them since it was brought in at the start of last season... twice as many as anyone else)

As you say, it conveniently left out the ones that go for them... but again, that wasn't what the initial comment was about mate. So no worries at all.

Everyone complained about the decisions made but they’re within the law, now the refs don’t care for human error or competitiveness that’s why the mctominey incident happened. The ref needs to make that call and it Spurs has an issue they could appeal/complain but they wouldn’t cos they know there was nothing there
I don't know about conspiracy with VAR against LFC but some of the decisions are strange and it's of No surprise LFC is bottom of the league for penalties against and bottom of the league for VAR decision against them 🙄

tbf as a manc I do agree that without var interference the scousers would be well and truly in the top 4.. clear and obvious errors should be a rare occasion in a league with professional officials and the use of var should only happen as such on rare occasions.

Note to all fans of all clubs. There is no conspiracy against your club. Liverpool fans complaining about offside goals noted by VAR have very short memories. I am a Chelsea fan and remember a certain Timo Werner scoring, what looked like to us all, a legitimate goal only to be ruled offside due to the length of his sleeve. VAR has ruined the game and the officiating has dropped even further due to VAR.
United's results are a LOT better with Pogba in the team. When he was injured, United were stuttering. Soon as he returned and before he was injured, the results were a lot better. And I am a Man City fan.
