I will give you and the readers some insight here: Blackout the Sun - I mentioned in another comment this was one of my favorites to do. It sort of just worked naturally, was simple, the guitarist (Lew) who I worked with understood the assignment perfectly. JaeBin is an insanely good singer, but was reluctant to do it at first because it is not something she would normally do, but again she understood the assignment. Once I told her this is the sound I NEED. She was okay with it. Also one of the more cathartic lyrically, despite its simplicity. Self-Awareness - Thank you!!! I definitely think it is one of mt best lyrically and atmospherically? Also structurally! I actually clapped after the final chorus with the glitch and the scream haha. Sime from @SEVENSENT killed it. I really felt the lyrics of being misguided and being aware of your bad habits, hating these aspects but feeling unable to shake them. It is something I have noticed about myself. I am so aware of my bad habits, I can shake them temporarily, but I always do something that makes me backslide into what is toxic about me. I guess knowing is half the battle though? 2023년10월10일 - Given what I intentionally wrote this song about (that is a secret, I make the lyrics a bit obtuse and general on purpose. But I think it can be figured out pretty easily), I was worried this song might come off as too emo for people who would misinterpret it, casuing them to find it to be hard to listen to. Plot twist: This has been one of my most popular songs haha. I think it is definitely great for when you are pushed to the edge and feeling overwhelmed. The chorus initially sounds like a hopeless cry for help, but by the end, it is more of a call to action and a glimmer of hope. At least that is how I wanted the progression of the song to be interpreted. Bled Dry - Oh yeah. In the overall narrative, I think this is honestly one of my favorites because it is lyrically pretty straightforward, it continues the dealing with the feelings of being pushed to your breaking point, but it is reassuring that no matter how bad it gets, you won't give up. It is all about taking the brunt of life and fighting back. It serves as a nice overall contrast while still maintaining the sound I wanted. The War Inside Me - Yeah! What makes it great is that it was one of the easiest animations for my computer to handle too haha. Lyrically, this song has meant a lot more to me, given the background of the song and hearing what my musician friends and Ukraine have been saying about how they feel. It has made the song an emotionally painful listen for me if I actively listen to it. It was also incredibly difficult to put together given what happened with me losing contact with one of my collaborators :( 곁에 있어줘 (Please Stay With Me) - I originally started this song back in 2014, and my computer bluescreened.
