    What did it end up costing?

    Never buy these used. For the price you paid you could rent them a hundred times with no worries. Not to mention CCS is way to expensive. I could get these parts for much cheaper and fix it for a whole lot less.

    Hi Tom, Review my posts and a reply stream from a month ago when you posted the video when you bought the machine. The hydraulic system is contaminated with metal particles from the failed hydraulic pump that was replaced by the owner you bought the machine from.Various manufacturers have different names for the procedure but the hydraulic system needs to be disassembled and cleaned. Completely disassembled and cleaned as in COMPLETELY disassembled and cleaned. There are metal particles from the failed pump circulating through the system and until those are cleaned from the system you will continue to have sticking control valves as well as cylinders that will start leaking,hydraulic motor failures, and worst case is the new pump gets trashed.There is a trick that helps but will NOT solve all issues: drop a cow intestinal tract magnet into the hydraulic tank: it will help collect ferrous metal particles but will not completely remove all of them from the system.Magnet can be found at most any feed store or amazon.About 1" round and 2 to 3" long.

    Were you able to find the dealer who did the last repairs to figure out exactly what was previously done?

    • @tnoel374
      @tnoel374  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It was a mobile equipment repair guy, out of Apex NC. No company name. He mess the the machine up.

    I really am surprised you are having so much trouble with that machine... My mate runs a fleet of them and ok they have issues now and again but generally good mind you you don't know what has gone before with it...That relief valve you had don't look 400 bucks worth.... Just saying.

    • @tnoel374

      The value was not a stock item, being sent from Japan older machine. Parts are Japan only WOW!

    Sitting broke down and idle ain't no good for you brother. Got to spend money to make money. But once it up and running again it will pay for itself eventually.

    hey what was the verdict after the repairs? Do you still like the machine? Should I buy one? How much did all the repairs cost you?

    • @tnoel374
      @tnoel374  ปีที่แล้ว

      3000 repair costs. I still like the machine even after the repair cost. Still runs well today.

    Wax on wax off Sensei!
    When done, degrease, use some rubbing compound and wax the excavator and it will look like new.
    What you fix today will probably never break again.

    Maybe it would be prudent to get it fixed as cheaply as possible and then unload it ASAP. If it were a car you would conclude it is going to be an endless money pit and dump it. But it is twice as complex as a car, so I would be twice as scared.

    Tom, if you give me the machine VIN and a part number for the valves I’m happy to find out what they cost direct from Takeuchi here in Japan. Just to make sure you’re not being skunked on margins.

    My dad always talks about "x" amount. In this case it's a sort of secret amount. That entire valve set up looks complicated. I imagine it will take them x amount of time to sort that out. Think of all the projects you can tackle with that machine.

    Man that is an expensive valve! Hope they get it figured out and get you up and running again. I know that you are waiting to put it back to work. If the other drive motor is good that's a plus.

    • @tnoel374
      @tnoel374  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      I think the other drive motor is in great shape. The mechanic that worked on it before was a moron.

    We told ya. Remember? Anyways, oh yeah, sold as is. Buyer always beware. The good thing you don't mention is that big tax deduction you get on your IRS income taxes for business repairs. Be safe my friend. I'd buy your equipment in a heartbeat. Eaglegards...

    • @tnoel374
      @tnoel374  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thanks my friend yes the tax break is the real reason I bought this machine. Thanks if I ever sell any of my equipment I will let you know.
