Hell yeah!!! That is super sick about getting some more space. I can’t wait for the new gear y’all will come up with. All the Best, Absolutely love Blue Tile.
Been following the leaks on these for so long, can’t wait to give them a spin. V1 is one of my favorites in recent times, and these seem to fix some of the sliiiight issues I had.
I’ve skated this shoe for 2 sessions now. Got the highs. Ive had 5 pairs of the V1 and love them tremendously, but I’m not as in love as immediately with this version as i expected. I think it looks better, but the sole feels more solid than the first, making the board feel a little lesser. All in all doesnt feel dramatically different tho. Just a bit more “premium” and like it sits higher up than the first. I do appreciate the N covering the mesh where it would always blow out. Will try a leather pair for sure if they drop because that was my favorite in the v1, but so far the upgrade doesnt feel crazy necessary aside from the durability aspect
This is some solid feedback. The midsole is apparently one mm thicker. They also dropped the Ccup tech and replaced it with Abzorb. You probably knew all of that before you bought it. I like looking down at the newer one … which is randomly more important than it should be haha.
I agree it passes the vibe check for sure when I look down haha I just really need the Jake Darwin White/reflective and Tom Knox black leather to become staples and it's the only shoe I'll ever need.@@DavidBluetile
I like the look of the V2 👍 I recently picked up a pair of the V1 lows that are a collab with my local skate shop and while I do like them I think the slightly revised shape of the new ones looks like they would fit me better.
Tthats actually quite a substantial change between the two. I always rock Nike SB for skating but I appreciate the details NB is making for a better skate shoe.
Been wanting to try the 440 for a while now but something about them always seemed off. Like the design seemed very low effort. And now these pop up. I think it's time!
Honestly, when I saw the leaked photos of it and the video that JaySkateDay posted and deleted last fall, my feelings toward the V2 were mixed. I liked the improvements that were made (and I can't wait to try it for myself), but I was not a huge fan of the design especially towards the bigger N. I just thought it looked kind of awkward where it was on the shoe, as I liked the original N better. I'm sure I'll grow to like it, but It's going to take some time.
@@DavidBluetile I stay true in most nike. Including blazer if I wore em (I don't) I go down half sizes in Jordan3 and a full in Converse chuck including 70. I even go a full size down in stan Smith, but usually half size down in adidas. I like a snug fit. I'm a kswiss buyer (where are yall at?) And I even go half size down. If the shoe is somewhat wider upfront it works.
We (I work for Numeric) have a 2E wide option on the 440, 574 vulc and 272. Not a ton of stock available but you should be able to find them at certain retailers (or special order from Blue Tile) or our site. We know there's not a huge market for wide shoes so we didn't encourage retailers to stock up on 2E, but it's available if you want to try some.
@@rothy13 I was able to snag a pair. I got a size 9, 2E width. Im an 8.5 4E other New Balance shoes. These fit a little snug on me, but not painful like other shoes. Wish I got two pairs, but the wides sold out fast! Eagerly awaiting the next time they drop. Thanks!
Yeah I know the jury is out. The new one feels better to me on every front but opinions are exactly that. I am pretty sure all of our v1 are marked down currently.
V2 is definitely going to be more durable... I have those white/gold 440's... literally popped 8 kickflips in them and the leather wrap around the toe box had totally separated on the outside... I've been a NB# fanboy for years, but that is absolute garbage stuff and should never happen. Thanks for the video!
That does happen but the vamp / toe box is sewn into the vamp so even if that outer piece comes off at least there is material behind it. Most shoes just tear apart right there. Just super glue those stitches. Thanks for watching!!
Try them. It’s a way better shoe. If you want thinner get a thinner insole but I don’t think you’ll be disappointed. This is from all the feedback of the team riders so I think they had guidance from one of the best squads to do it

Thank you!! So much going on right now. I’m low key going nuts
Congrats on the expansion! I’ve been waiting for the overview on this shoe. Looking forward to trying a pair out.
That color way on the V2 looks so good and the updates make it so much better!

I have lot of the V1s. Perfect fit. Great shoes. Want to checkout the V2s. The blue/white colorway looks sick as hell.
Love to see a skate shoe company making ANYTHING in wide sizes
Congrats with the growing pains! Time to screen those Black Flag spoof shirts! 👊🏴🤘
my favorite shoe gets even better I'm in love. Def gonna get a couple wide pairs

But is it busy? 😂 congrats on the expansion.
V2 growing on me. I like the toe box and that the sole isn’t so rockered on the shelf.
I know it’s only slightly changes but it looks sooo much better IMO
Even just the shape/angle of the N logo looks more natural
Sturgill here i hope your awesome Dave these are so sick def an upgrade from the previous
440

These are hella clean + that sweeeeeet gum bottom
Awe man that V2 is awesome!! Great video
its not the chunkyness of the N, but the way it moved more forward, that gives the shoe much better proportions
Tthats actually quite a substantial change between the two. I always rock Nike SB for skating but I appreciate the details NB is making for a better skate shoe.
Was waiting for this. I like them better as far as what I see
I wanted more padding in the ankles on the highs. Looks like they have it.
It def feels more secure.
V2 high looks good. Really hope they do something like this in a cup sole. I need the cup.
All the 440s are cup sole and these have slightly more padding than the last 440s
@@DavidBluetile I didn't know that looks like a box tape (not sure if that is the right word) around the bottom.
Been wanting to try the 440 for a while now but something about them always seemed off. Like the design seemed very low effort. And now these pop up. I think it's time!
Definitely an improvement! Is the fit still the same? V1 is a lil narrow for me.
It’s slightly wider
Great Shoe! Thanks for your help getting the right shoe for my skate style. Way better than the V1.

To me the little n looks awkward floating around in there and the new n looks like intentional deaign
I always go down a half size in NB. Even in the numeric stuff I own.
That’s so wild to me. I go up a half size in most. Def not down in anything

Is v2 more narrow now? That kinda sucks. When will companies learn that narrow isn't the normal foot shape.
I can’t wear most skate shoes because of this and I don’t even have a super wide foot. Really annoying
the same, but now they also come in 2 widths. D and EE
It was already the most narrow NB# not sure why they would go more narrow??
They do that so they can penny pinch unfortunately
He didn’t say it’s more narrow did he?
Sizes the same as I would wear in a 1010 would you say, or go up 1/2? 1010 in my usual size fit slightly snug, but end up breaking in great
Same I think. I go up a half size in 1010 but only because it’s slightly snug. Same as the 480.
Would you say they are roomier TTS than the V1??
They look sweet
Dope review
🙏
What about the insole? Is it more cushioned than the V1? That’s the main reason why I stopped skating them
Yes. There one mm more padding in the midsole and they use a more shock absorbing insole
How’s the width on these compared to the v1? I have a wide foot, and the v1 was a little too narrow to wear comfortably for long periods of time.

@@rothy13 thanks! I’m more of a mid/hi top guy, but I might have to try the 440 low just for wide option.

Loving those
Cool review!!
Man i really liked the.V1 flick but dam the impact protection was the worst than a vulc ....Might give them a second chance 🤔
How would you compare the 440 v2 to the 480 in terms of width?
Pretty similar but they do make the 440v2 in wide also. We currently have the 574 wides at Bluetile in select sizes
@DavidBluetile Thank you!!
I'm definitely hyped on the 480s but
The 440 v2 is a great looking shoe!
Almost adidas busenitz pro like
I think I prefer V1, it looks slimmer and cleaner.
Yeah I know the jury is out. The new one feels better to me on every front but opinions are exactly that. I am pretty sure all of our v1 are marked down currently.
O prefer the old ones with those pointier toebox
The toe box was square though. The new one is more round.
@@DavidBluetile , sorry i mean i like the side view of the old ones, looks more sharp

Why nb numeric don’t do 41 EU shoes size ? They do 40.5 and it goes to 41.5 ??
I think they do. That translates to a US size 8 I believe
They said it’s 41.5 but thanks 🤘🏼
I think virtually everything about the v2 is better besides the new logo. For skating though? No contest.
Way better
👏 thank you!
If the sole didn’t get thinner.. they did it wrong 🤷♂️
