Few thoughts: Everybody thought this was gonna be a cakewalk for Philly, who was a damn good team in this era. Down in 6 games. Feel like Utley tried to get cute at 5:21, ended up costing them a run. Also, Utley always been a punk ass. Damn I miss Torres' speed. Loved that guy; Andres the Giant, good Giant. It's funny, this series (what many consider to be the "real" 2010 WS) was so crazy and exhausting, I feel like in my memory it went to 7 games.
How bold was it for Bochy to leave Wilson in to hit with the bases loaded in the top of the 9th? It all worked out but that is a crazy hard move to make
A story that never gets talked about, in the 3rd inning when both teams left their dugouts, in the bullpen Jeremy Affeldt was about to rush the field and Mark Gardner held him back and told him you can’t go out there, you gotta pitch when their done fighting. Mannnnn, what could’ve happened if Gardner didn’t stop him from going out there 😮
I will always love the 2010 Giants. Bruce Bochy was brilliant. Brian Wilson was a true warrior. This series proved how resilient this Giants team was. They would bend so many times but didn’t break. It also proved how over paid Ryan Howard was.
As a Giants fan I respected the hell out these Phillies teams but I always thought the Tigers were overrated. They actually won less games than the Giants in 2012 and were top heavy, had poor depth & a weak lineup outside of Cabrera & Fielder. The Giants also had a better overall pitching staff than them, they just didn’t get as much recognition
Alot of people look down on the Giants, they all though Philly is going to Win the series and move on the WC.But i gave the Giants credit for not giving up
The Phillies were a much better team. I still have no clue how we won!!!! But it happened!!!! Watching Uribe drive the HR into right center was a urphoria I still experience today!!!
What is going on with Buck’s commentary here? It’s clear the media was expecting and wanted the Phillies to win this series. What a lack of enthusiasm sheesh
Buck was pretty lackluster with baseball calls back then. His calls during the 2000s were pretty bad. IMO he's really stepped it up in the past 5+ years. His calls in 2014 seemed pretty good.
You should’ve seen how he called the 2009 world series, that was a joke. When Matsui hit a homerun in Game 6, his call was as lackluster as you can possibly get. He got better in 2013 and on with his enthusiasm and he’s now one of the better baseball commentators. There was a situation where he got a hair transplant and they put him under anesthesia and apparently the anesthesia affected his voice for a few years so that could probably be why he was really bad for many years, but I doubt that issue lasted for that long.
@@ultraness who cares after 30 something years watching them the only thing that matters is they won it. I can still remember Dave Flemings voice cracking on the Edgar Renteria home run against Texas to ultimately win it.
Are you dense? Name one position player still on the current roster for the Phillies. Just leave your asinine comments at the door, Eric. This Giants team was one of the most underrated champions of all time. They're still slept on.
@@matthewwhitlock5018 Telling me that the Phillies are bad does not refute my claim that the 2010 Giants weren't that strong. Your logic is very peccable.

I dont like Philadelphia
i'll never forget when I saw that strike three to end the game. I knew it before Posey even caught it
that was a 50/50 ball strike but still hittable so Go Giants
i want to see the K Zone. That had to be an absolutely perfect pitch

Bochy knew how to manage his players.
18:11 right when announcer says "this is about as intense as a baseball game can get" guy lets out massive yawn
Yeah, because it was close to 12 in the morning on a weeknight in Philly. I love watching sports on the West Coast.
jeeeesus that 3rd strike call against ishikawa in the 7th. surpised he wasnt more angry.
Way outside!

Bochy managed this one like a game 7
Game 7 in Philly would’ve been damn impossible to win.
Lopez in the 7th was some great relief there.
Dat 2010 gigantes team was a team of destiny !
I believe clinching a series on the road in a hostile environment is better than doing so at home.
Buster Posey was his own favorite player growing up.
This video needs a Kruk & Kuip KNBR radio dub over the fox goofballs.
U-Ribe
Los gigantes with dat relentless force!

The Giants took down superstar ass teams man this Phillies team was STACKED. So were the Tigers in 2012

@@sftheletters Not to mention the Giants bullpen was legit back then, Tigers bullpen always choked.

Simple, we had better pitching. Plus I feel the Phillies believed their own hype.
Pat the bat and Tony Romo have identical vocal tone and sound.
Torture at its finest
Gary Matthews really messed up the Phillies intros lol
They're batting Sanchez like a piñata.
It’s Game 6 NLCS and I don’t think Cody Ross has hit a ball anywhere other than pull side
12:59 - what the actual fuck is that call???
Carloos Ruiz 1:56
Dude got the whole lineup wrong lmfao
lmao joe fucks with the embarassed tone when Uribe hits the hr.
Giants dropped a bomb to phillys mini dynasti
Chase Utley: Enormous Douche/Bad Karma = Phils loss.
Baumgardner post season
Who's Baumgardner?
What is going on with Buck’s commentary here? It’s clear the media was expecting and wanted the Phillies to win this series. What a lack of enthusiasm sheesh
Wraithfighter but i think the Phillies were favored in this series with going to the World Series a year prior
He always hated the giants
As a Giants fan, I can see on paper how the Phillies were expected to win. But as we can see that doesn't always mean anything!

SF had one of the weakest offense in 2010. I mean, who were these nobodies? Only position player remaining is Posey.
They had a clutch ass Juan Uribe. That was a huge plus.
In their defence, some of these guys, like Renteria and Rowand, were at the ends of their careers.
