The amount of happy endings we get are so little that it breaks us every time and each time we still appreciate the love that happened. But I want to watch stupid cheesy rom-coms like "How to lose a guy in 10 days" where there the two main protagonists are idiots who fall in love. Why is it so impossible to create movies that tell stories about love? Why should love between women be presented differently? Can't we set an end on being victimized and instead portray love stories not any differently from any other kind of love?
For reallll. I understand about the period dramas which present the past when the times weren’t good for queer people, but the modern times movies or the fantasy ones? People just love the “bury our gays” thing 🤷

Imagine Me and You was great, I also recommend Portrait of a Lady on Fire: probably one of the best art films I’ve ever seen and it also happens to center on a same sex couple. Portrait of a Lady on Fire explores love and the mechanics behind it (unlike some films that throw people together and it feels forced). I wasn’t that enthusiastic about Carol, not that it was bad, the couple just didn’t seem as natural to me as some other wlw couples do
