Mermonkey of the Abyss suprised the heck out of me when I discovered it was also a portable lake. It gives water towers so much more freedom and synergy.

I think the bottom path is going to be wild. It pops all dot effects. That with a 502 glue gunner will be disgusting.

gotta try the middle path ability on sulphur vents. the balls bounce around like juggernaut projectiles and this map doesn't have any obstaclesm which is probably why it was so underwhelming

Beast Tamer is actually pretty op if you use it right. Having all three 5 tiers on the field max buffed will carry you to round 150 minimum without the need of a super monkey or paragon.

I think 205 meemonkey will go well with top path t5 glue because ut says it causes all DOT to go off instantly so aimce glue has high pierce is only held by not stacking glue on the same baloon this show game breaking power

Bottom path Mermonkey and 502 glue gunner is going to be a crazy combo. Detonating damage over time should in theory count the glue.

SJB's "first look" vids will ALWAYS be the one's I always watch (all the way through) first because.. he helped me complete early Bloons defense games when I struggled. Especially when BMC first came around
I want to know if Rosalia got buffed. From what i have seen, she got a price reduction, which can be seen in the NK update video when they display the new map. She costs $670 in easy mode in the video, but she currently costs $745. I really want her to be buffed.

yeah, the ice ball ability is one that improves with walls, bouncing around and lingering a bit longer than just flying off the edge of the screen.
Its a pretty great tower, the middle path being the main damage dealer, and the other 2 paths having great support and usage. The top path also being able to whip out some damage as well.
I doubt it will be nerfed, but if they do nerf it, im not gonna be happy.
10:00 if you look closely it seems there's another bug with it freezing white balloons somehow.

@@CrankyPants05 yes, but also when it pops the zebra balloons, you can clearly see white balloons that are frozen. Both Zebra and white balloons should be immune to freezing so this is definitely a bug.

It not that strong. The 3 tier 5s struggle against Ddts and bads.
The problem with the beast handler is if you put it you gonna need to use him like geraldo or Corvus

Y'know, the whole "detonating damage over time" thing really explains why they were talking about DoT so much last update. That said, I can't wait to use the bottom path with 502 Mortar!

*DISCOVERY* I just did some experiments and you can chinook the top path Mermonkey away from the beast handlers fish while keeping the beast. This would normally sell a boat or sub but since the beasts arent a sellable tower they stay and cant be repositioned regardless of where the mermonkey is moved to, its just stuck there forever.
Do they get buffs from brickle while in the water?

These guys seem super overloaded lol
They have good popping power, stall in the form of freeze, the ability to buff other towers, stall AND displacement in one, and they can be placed ANYWHERE
I really like the idea of the bottom path but it does look like it is too powerful in some cases and too weak in many others. I would like to see the bottom path get and ability that either creates a harmonic resonance totem to last longer and does a Corvus level 10 attack or an ability that lets it suck in all Bloons in the totem range including BADs for a very shot time so it will be the first stall to a bad even if it only last 3 seconds. This will of course come at the cost of either a massive cost increase of stat nerf for the bottom path. I personally the bad stalling idea would be a really nice idea and another nerf to it could be the stall last the said 3 seconds if the mermonkey is on water if on land it only last 1.5 seconds or something like that.

0-0-0- is basically Obyn only without homing missiles, no purple weakness and slightly cheaper?
The low tiers seem a bit strong compared to other towers, while the T3+ appear to be less efficient poppers but provide support to other towers instead.
Could lead to some interesting strategies, although what I'm seeing right now feels pretty unbalanced.

22:42 all the tower monkeys are genderless by default, so it's down to the players if they decide to gender their towers a certain way
usually marking the towers as male has been the norm amongst the playerbase and bloonstubers, but i have noticed you and a few other bloonstubers being less quick to make that same jump for mermonkey and use more gender neutral terms instead. it's kinda refreshing actually 😊

Probably because it’s unfinished, especially the upgrade models and the tower icon.
Unfortunately, most new towers at this point are going to look like a mod. We are just so used to the look and feel of the existing ones. In fact, this tower is the second BTD6 unique tower to be released since the druid and alchemist, which came on launch.
Ok, I take it back, it does look very much like a modded tower. I think the colors may be too vibrant for a t1
it's loosely based off the sea monkey so that's why it seems like a modded tower also just because the concept is so cool

The beast handler has, at best, 0.5 supportive paths. The bottom path can be used for blowback. The mermonkey on the other hand, has the entire bottom path purely for support and the top path can heavily increase pierce. So thats 1.5 supportive paths. So why is the beast handler in support again?

From what I’ve watched too path looks like a tower I’ll use loads, bottom org looks really good and I’ll probably use it a good amount, and middle path just isn’t my kinda thing

"Lord" is a masculine title so Lord of the Abyss is likely male, Popseidon is named after Poseidon who is male so Popseidon is likely male, and sirens are typically female in media so The Final Harmonic could be female. But they could really be whatever and when it comes to fan creation it's completely up to the artist's own interpretation.
Ninja kiwi has stated that any monkey can be male or female but that was before the mermonkey anouncement
I have seen media with female lords, using lord more as a title of leadership. Or just a silly title, like lord of parties.
Popsiden is probably just a play on words, and not much more. Besides they are just named after Possiden, they aren't actually him.
And as you said, sirens are TYPICLY female, so male ones can exist.

No one get too excited. NK *HATES* their fans! They're *NEVER* in a million years going to let it stay this strong. No way. Being able to stun them in a circle like that for that long, or at all for that matter, is waay too helpful and NK will never let us have fun!

Bro when the first time I saw this i thought it was a mod because I'm not updated
The bottom path needs a rework the 4th teir is overpowered and the 5th teir would be fairly priced if you couldn't trap ddts with the 4th tier glaive lord was already op why did they make a tower that speeds up its dot and makes the bloons go in a perfect circle around the lord for less than 10k.
i absolutely LOVEEE the tower but i'd still rather just get a B.E.Z. you know xD
