Happy New Year to you and the team Lewis. Playing in the conditions we’ve been experiencing not really conducive to good scores. Well done with your driving, the numbers looked good. Short game suffers in the mud. 6° I think is the recommended loft between wedges, so maybe 54° but I try to take half swings. Anyway roll on spring, keep looking up mate. 👏👏👏
Good to see you back 😊 Looked like a difficult round with the conditions and fading light. Some decent golf played, looking forward to when it’s lighter and drier ⛳️
Thanks for coming back my friend. Yeah hard conditions but hopefully moving into better weather that puts us in a good place. Thanks for being here mate
Good to see you back after the festive break !! wish you a very happy new year to you Lewis and the rest of the gang 😀 Very hard to play with such conditions (same in France courses are muddy and hard to play....even worse with the greens...being very unpredictable)....BTW I think a 52 would be a good choice for you, this is also a very versatile wedge when opening the face....
@@GOLFDAYS depends on the loft of the PW (a 44 deg?) then I would say 48, 52, 56 and no need for the 60 (even less the 64). too much inconsistencies for those high loft clubs at our level ....and then work on half, 3/4 and full swing distances + impact on ball forward, middle and back in the stance. It will give you 9 distances and 3 types of flight stopping short or releasing more . My humble opinion 🙂. BTW when visiting your in France where would it be ?
Happy New Year…even though 11th January seems too late to say it! I was in Germany for Xmas and New Year, I saw on the weather app there was crap weather for Essex, pleased I missed the heavy rain and Wizard of Oz hurricane in Epping 😂 Broken club to start the year, things can only get better😁 And once again you played in shite conditions, you’re a glutton for punishment, rather you than me. Good effort 👍
Ooh nice! Hope you had fun in Germany. 😂 Bet when you looked at the app and saw Essex was crap you were thinking, oh yeah Lewis will be out 😅 I know what a way to start, onwards and upwards. Thanks for watching🙌
@@GOLFDAYS ..if there had been a tornado, hail, snow, earthquake and red dust, then I would have thought ‘yep, Lewis will be out having his latest golf day today, just his kind of conditions!!’ 😂😂 Germany was quiet and a bit depressing, apart from New Year’s Eve, when it goes completely mental.
😂😂 my level I still make plenty of mistakes matey that's golf unfortunately but everyone gotta remember them good shots you do you don't realise how good they really are think positive everyone
And remember in colder weather the ball doesn’t go as far so club up from what you normally use plus, the closer you get to the green, grip lower on whatever club you use to get more feel and control on your shot
Winter golf is a good test of ability and character, I say! And you did well out there mate, always good watching you play! 😎😎
Thanks my friend. Should put us in a good position come warmer weather. I really appreciate the support my friend. Means a lot to hear this. 🙌

thanks my firend, same to you. I am over in france visiting my dad in august so hoping to film a french special.
so you would say 48,52,64,60?

nice advice though i did have a 52 takomo but gifted it to mesh😅 he lives in bergerac
Reckon you need a 52 Wedge if you don't have 14 clubs already. Also loved the foot wedge action in the background on the 7th 😂😂😂
I will have to re watch the 7th mate
So you wouldn't have 56 bent to 54? You reckon a whole new wedge?
@@GOLFDAYS 56 is your sand wedge. 52 fills nicely between PW and 56. But I am a wedge maniac, carry 50,52,56,60 😂😂
@@highhcplowhope yes mate but I have a 48 in the bag so I currently go 48 56 60
@@GOLFDAYS I wouldn't want to lose the 56 for bunkers, do you carry 14 clubs?
@@highhcplowhope interesting you say that. I use 60 purely for bunkers. I do carry 14 but never use a 3 wood

@@grahamwale9268 😂 seems you got me right..
Oh really, excellent 👌
Get a 52. 4 degree gaps on wedges is ideal in my opinion.
Thanks for advice. It seems I may need to grab one as a few people have now said this. 👍 Cheers mate
That 7 iron should of been a 5 iron never be afraid of the ball going over the flag, my mann

Yeah my set up is pw at 44 then I have 48 56 60
Could bend 56 to 54?
@GOLFDAYS what clubs you got matey
@@whataplonker82 I have Takomo irons. They sent me clubs to use and review
@GOLFDAYS Japanese yeah?? Any good tell truth never heard of them matey I got ping orange dot blueprints,
@@whataplonker82 they are actually Finnish.. look them up. They actually just signed another tour player.
Practice 150 yards in
That's actually a great shout thinking about it 👌
