- Travertine Floor Cleaning in Strandhill, Sligo. First Class Floor Care specialise in Hard Floor Surface Restoration In Sligo, Mayo, Roscommon, Leitrim and South Donegal.
Through this specialized cleaning process of the Turkish Travertine floors we removed all the dirt and grime from the tiles and grout lines. The tiles were then rinsed using our pressurised enclosed cleaning system hooked up to our Prochem 370ss Sapphire Scientific Truck Mount. Then we dried and sealed the tiles,
Do You Need To Seal Tile Floors
There are two parts of a tile floor...the Tile and the Grout. Most of the floor is made up of the actual tiles but the grout is just as important. It's the often overlooked material that holds the tiles in place. Grout needs to be sealed. It's naturally porous and will stain easily. Most installers of Tile floors do not seal them because grout has to cure first. It's something you should do to keep your grout looking it's best. As a bonus, sealed grout is much easier to keep clean!
Sealing is done to strengthen tile or grout's defenses against dirt, spills, and erosion of grout, but not all tile needs to be sealed. If your tile is ceramic or porcelain, it probably won't need to be sealed. If your tile is stone (slate, marble, granite, travertine, etc.) then it will need to be sealed. Stone is naturally porous and will absorb spills and stain fairly easily.

fair play !
Cheers James, everything is easy once you know what your doing, Having the right tools definitely makes it even easier though 😏
Such a beautiful stone floor
Agreed 🤩🤩
Amazing job looks brilliant. What type of tile sealer do you use?
Great Job!
Cheers bud 😎
@@FirstClassFloorCare what kind of sealer ?
Wow! Good job. Name of Cleaning products you used please?
Amazing work! What Cleaner did you use on the travertine?
Hi Josh,
I used a 10PH Alkaline pre spray while using an acid rinse with the SX-12
@@FirstClassFloorCare what kind of sealer please? Brand ?
What kind of sealer did you use?
Any recommendations in Houston area?
What type of sealer did you go with? Water or solvent base? Lovely work mate
Thanks bud 🙌 I believe it was an impregnating solvent sealer
Amazing, wish you were local to me, I am desperately trying to find a good company to restore my travertine
Where are you based, I might be able to recommend you someone
@@FirstClassFloorCare do you know anyone in the Orlando Fl area you can refer?
Nice job!!!
I have a few questions about your process?
What process did you use?? I know you Did a form if agitation followed by steam cleaning but did you have a brush head on the buffer?
Also did you go back and do cleaning while solution was still wet after buffing?
Than final questions are 2 coats of sealer always necessary and how long do you wait to apply 2nd coat after applying 1rst one?
Why were the holes not filled?
Can I just stripped the old sealer off and rinse the floor let dry than reapply sealer?
I'm a rookie to travertine?
Yes exactly! using professional stone care products of course
@@FirstClassFloorCare I mean without using all that fancy equipment
Im sure it's possible Alex 😀 would take a lot longer of course and results might not be as good
Good Job However, I noticed that not all objects were cleared from the floor before starting the work. I observed the flower pot and chairs still sitting there.🙄
What pad did you use on the rotary machine ?
We used a brush instead of a pad as natural stone floors are barely ever even
what chems to clean?
Wow
🙏🙏🙏
Do you have the brush glide for the spinner? I tried using the plastic one and it left scratches on natural travertine i will never touch natural stone without a brush glide perhaps any hard surface for that matter these teflon plastic whatever glides are made for carpet otherwise they are scratching hard surfaces
I'm in Lawton ok Any recommendations
I'm afraid not, sorry
