This clip was much better than the movie. James Brown lived a very full and adventurous live. He deserved 3 or 5 part mini-series. Not a 2-hour movie that just had too much missing.

It's no mystery that James struggled terribly during his childhood -- hunger, soul-crushing poverty -- and as close as he was with his father in his later years, his father was also very cruel and abusive to James when he was young. Put simply, he carried a lot of anger around inside, and it came out ugly all too often. That's what I didn't like about the movie. Chadwick was cool, but unlike Ray with jamie foxx, get on up was too afraid to get into the dirty gritty parts of james's life.

It's no mystery that James struggled terribly during his childhood -- hunger, soul-crushing poverty -- and as close as he was with his father in his later years, his father was also very cruel and abusive to James when he was young. Put simply, he carried a lot of anger around inside, and it came out ugly all too often. Not making excuses for the man, not saying it was okay -- just suggesting that that's where a lot of it came from.
His childhood should be no excuse for his behavior as a grown man,and if u would hurt someone then don't be in a relationship stay single,those women did nothing to him they didn't deserve the treatment he gave them.
