- Yo, I'm back with another Def Jam playthrough. I don't know if someone would even watch this 2004 game in this late 2018 but I assure they are TH-camrs who are still uploading gameplays for this gem like D'Avion SBM, Alpha Maverick, JustintheSpider to name a few.
This is my 2nd Story Mode Playthrough of this game. I don't think I improved that much for the past 2 months playing this game. I still spamming that Block Trick and did a lot of random mistakes in most of the fights. The only thing that I've improved is the quality of the video but the audio, hmm...the audio is quite poor compared to the first playthrough. You'll soon find out why though. Windows 10 updates are killing the audio quality.
I recorded this gameplay on 30fps but rendered on 60fps. So, you can't even see the difference though, same with the rest of the parts. I'm sorry about that. D'Avion SBM did a 60fps playthrough if you're into better quality and superb gameplay with commentary. Go check his channel, dude is a beast with dem counters.
I've been testing the PSP version and I think the framerates look stable and playable. Probably will do a Story Mode on the PSP version. All in all, hope you guys enjoy watching this noob playthrough and have a nice day, wherever you are :)

Amazing! Its gameplay is great, maybe even better than Alpha Maverick's! It's amazing how careful you are in defense and reversals, and can attack perfectly right through the scenery and the NPC's, be creative! You lure your opponent into the trap, but unlike Alpha, as I said, you are more careful and defensive, Alpha is already much more aggressive and offensive, although it also defends itself well. I hope to get to level of both one day. I can't get that far unbeaten.

My favorite fighting styles of the game are martial arts n wrestling
Martial Arts + Streetfighting + Wrestling has great wrestling moves. It has Tombstone Piledriver, Frankensteiner, Swanton Bomb, Snap Surplex etc.

You can get extra cash by doing single matches. For me, I followed Alpha Maverick's Milestone to train my character. As a result, I have a lot of green to splurge on bling bling :)

@@Him.different22 Even if the new Def Jam game came out, it would not be the same or even better than this one. AKI Corp who used their game engine for this game is dead years ago, and that what makes this game has high replay value.
DJR kept teasing about a new Def Jam game on Twitter and Instagram. So far, we don't even know who will dev the game. I honestly don't want EA to dev it or you need to pay for their 'Digital Surprise' craps haha.

Yo you da man at this game brotha! I Best fighting game ever! Yo I got to ask, & I know it’s an old video though, how’d you manage to get over 90k cash in the beginning of the story??
You can get extra cash by playing exhibition mode using your created profile ID. Keep playing those quick matches and you can use the money in the Story Mode. This also works in Def Jam Vendetta too.
In this gameplay, I actually spent 3 hours grinding my created fighter's milestones stats by doing 5,000 Punches and 5,000 Kicks. Had to edit the gameplay to make up time.

One of the most coolest and favorite thing that I love about DJFFNY is that you can pick or choose your girlfriend and she can be your girlfriend throughout the entire story if you choose too and my girl that I always picked was Cindy J and I would love a new Def Jam like call it Def Jam Fight For LA. #goodmemories #whatdoyouthink

I can tell U were doing Battle Mode Matches in Crows Office, lol, Ur Score says so, Paneless😁😂😂 It does the same with the Inferno Matches except U get 5,000 points☺😎
I did around 10-12 matches at the Window Match just to increase the charisma to 75%. Then, I head straight to story mode. After I finished Trick's match, I realised there was bug in there. So, I took a long pause there and just carry on with the story hahahaha
@@MrNoob-wc3hv Anytime U go back to Story mode After doing matches in Crow's office or the Inferno Match, U will always get Paneless 3,500 or Fire Retardent 5,000 in Story Mode Matches. & Buying that $40,000 Diamond Def Jam Chain is How Ur Charisma got so High so Soon👌👍😉

It's Martial Arts + Kickboxing + Submission. Kung Fu Style :)

How's this combination sound? Submission, kickboxing and Martial arts?
That's a good fighting styles combination. Since he has Martial Arts, your character would be fast, but not that fast. You gonna need to increase his milestone speed 1 bar. Go watch Alpha Maverick's Milestone Walkthrough for that one.
Submission + Kickboxing are a great combo, can KO or Submit anyone pretty quick since you can clinch and do head submissions. Your opponent has higher chances to get stunned that way. You can switch you opponent to rear grapple like in Def Jam Vendetta. I would spam Lights Out combos a lot if I were you to fill my blazin' meter fast.
Since he has Kickboxing, his 4-KKKK combos are quite fast. Prioritize lower strength early game on is recommended.
Weaknesses, toughness is whack. Couldn't take craps thrown at him. Definitely need to watch out from Haymakers and 2500pts-3000pts wrestling moves like Crack's Pedigree or David Banner's Rock Bottom.
Two of his hard upper punches suffer very short-ranged attack. Only his forward hard punch has good ranged. Careful when you're trying to hit back your foe after a successful leg grapple counter.
His 4-PPPP strikes are not that fast especially that last P. I suggest you only do PPP then do grapples as follow-up or end it with hard kicks.
These are my rough opinions, it's all depend on how you play.

Can i ask sir how to change fighting style at fight, example in your 1st walktrough you can use Sb style at fight and you can use streetfighting and martial art to.

Just do you know any way to get three styles at the start of story..
Right after you created your character? Not possible unless you mod the game. Use cheat like Action Replay Max or Codebreaker to get Infinite Dev points and buy all three styles right after you completed the tutorial. That's the earliest point you can get all three styles.
What I've been trying to do right now is to buy 4 fighting styles and mod the movesets haha. I think it is possible but need times to figure it out.
I tried code breaker it doesn't work.. Maybe I will give that action replay a try

It was a bug. I trained my character's Charisma stats right after the tutorial at Crow's Office in exhibition match 27 times. Then, I jumped back to the Story Mode. Apparently, it stayed in the Match Result again and again until I reboot the game.
