Now to our video! In this exciting video, I will share a project that long kept me awake: transforming an ordinary motorcycle into a hoverbike. This idea was so persistent that I couldn't sleep peacefully until I realized it. Over the past six months, I have been working hard to create this flying device, dreaming of becoming part of the amazing world of aviation and innovation.
In this video, you will see the entire process of my creation, from the idea to the attempt to take off. I paid special attention to developing a mechanism for transferring torque from the motorcycle engine to the propellers. Interesting fact: I made all the propellers for this project myself in my garage, adding uniqueness to my hoverbike.
I will share the technical aspects, engineering solutions, as well as the emotions and challenges I faced in the creation process. Join me on this journey from motorcycle to hoverbike, and find out if I managed to take off and join the club of aviation enthusiasts. Don't miss the story of my unusual flying device!

Awesom e but it will not fly for these things: 1st the bottom Part its way heavier you have to make it smaller and ligther, u recomend carbon fiver and the transmition dont make it whit chains , make it whit cardans youll not lose power .2nd , use carbon fiber blades it will make it ligther and stronger,. Change the shied you put it and make the flades face the ground. and finally ad a turbo to the engine it will generate more hp, and the last but no least , change the bike frame is heavier , that will reduce weigth.i think with that it will enougth

The final test for the video had me in suspense far greater than any show i've ever watched. The final product so far looks unattainable, yet I forget I just watched someone with pretty simple tools make it in front of my eyes. Truly in inspiration. If you can make that, then I can make the things I normally think I can't.

Someone else had the right idea for stability: Angle the lines of thrust for all the props so the top points inward, say, 10-15 degrees. When the platform tilts in one direction, the on-side prop(s) will be more vertical and lift that side more than the off-side prop(s), making the platform more parallel to the ground again. You'd be giving up some down-thrust for stability, but I think that'd be worth it.
Once you have stability, you can make the props tilt-able (forward, backward, or even side way..), so you some directional control. Or, you can add smaller, side auxilliary props for fwd/bkwd, and another set to rotate the hover-bike.
Thx for an enjoyable build! Congrats on the 1M subs!!

    1. Reduce the weight of lubricating oil, and 2. check whether the angle of attack is so high that the blades are stalling, reducing the lift, 3. eliminate the heavy wheels, 4. dont move the blades overhead, because you will lose the thrust off the ground and it will be less safe, 5. extend the protective cage to completely cover the propellers, 6. do initial lift tests with 4 rope tethers for safety to stabilize the device in the horizontal plane until you solve the lift and balance issues. 150hp should be more than enough! Great effort ! 🥰!

Give some consideration to using the cycle engine to drive a high output generator with electric motors powering the fans. You could include a battery backup that would provide emergency landing power that is charged by the onboard generator. You might be able to offset more weight by eliminating the chains, the sprockets, tensioning systems, oil bath, and large X-frame chassis. Electric drive motors wouldn't require the frame you currently have. A tubular frame would work well, it works for drones. 👍👍 Here's to flight!

Not a good idea, the weigth of 4x electric motors able to generate that amount of power+ a generator to convert the motor power will be massive. 150/4/1,6= 23,45 kW. a industrial motor like that is 100-150 kg pr motor. ofc there exist ligthweigth high effect motors but not something im familiar with

Awesome! This blows me away, literally haha. I’ve daydreamed of this idea and others like it for over 20 years! but alas am not skilled in any way to do anything about it. My idea used hydraulic motors to transfer the power to blades making for easier positioning of wherever you wanted them, I’m sure they can transfer quite a bit of power, as I watch shelter belt trimmers spin up 4 large solid steel cutting blades to do their work. I’m pretty sure you could also alter the flow of power to individual blades etc. Never the less what an awesome effort you put in to achieve your goals, congrats on 1m plus subs too!

Gull wing designs might help with stability. Some rotors above center of mass but smaller ones below center of mass, then a forward prop to go faster and put wings in where you can. I can see you getting off the ground if you replace your steel parts with aluminum or even magnesium. Go electric to help distribute power without connecting rods and chain drives that add weight. If you go electric you can put your batteries on a swing arm or tram so they can glide forward and backward for balance and left and right for yaw to help stabilize your craft.

Я имею ввиду простыми словами, стрёмно прям в метре от земля, жёстко наклоняться вперёд, а так это делать не придётся, просто включил мотор и ровненько плавно полетел вперёд. a clicking throttle so you can set it low and let the computer generate lift over time. then stabilize in hover using altitude feedback from each rotor instead of a single point.
idle should hover but still let you put a foot down.
such systems could use much smaller blades increasing lifespan and durability too!
so many possibilities for safety and efficiency at hand!

Putting the propellers on top will not help. It will make it worse (and more dangerous). Check "ground effect" and "pendulum rocket fallacy". By putting the propellers up high you will lose the ground effect, and gain no stability. One way that might help is ducts around the propellers. This might increase the thrust and protect the propellers (and bystanders) a bit. The clearance between the propellers and the duct must be close though. If it offsets the extra weight depends on the construction of the ducts. Foam covered in carbon fiber and epoxy might work, with kevlar at the impact zone of the propellers if possible. fiberglas could work, but will be heavier for the same strength.

Are you sure? All the helicopters and drones have the payload below the propeller plane. Helicopters can also transport heavy loads hanging on a rope....

@@123456eugenio Helicopters use active controls to balance, they are not inherently stable. Google "Pendulum Rocket Fallacy".

      @nordishkiel5985 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

@@123456eugenio yes. The fact that some aircraft (that use active stabilization) have the props up high does not invalidate it. And if you have enough lift, you don´t rely on ground effect. Putting the propellers/rotor on top increases ground clearance, that is why you put them up high. Again, check out "pendulum rocket fallacy" for an explanation why putting the center of lift above the center of mass does NOT make it self stable.

As a "heads up" sometimes the type of rivets you are using can "shoot" the "head" of the steel rod off and could rattle around... a good rivet for this application would be a closed end blind rivet. This type of rivet is closed and dont have a opening through outside and inside

Для увеличения подъемной силы, можно уменьшить размер звезд на винтах, и увеличить на коробке, скорость вращения несущих винтов возрастет.

Great efforts and output! However, to fly (or hover) this device you need to make skirt(soft or firm). This will create stable air output near ground. Height of flight will be within 10cm from ground or so. It will not fly like drone because for drone you need independent motor (or gearbox if single motor, or variable pitch with independent controller) for every prop plus pilot controller to stabilize flight.
