      No Shia or Sunni..
The new generation of Muslims must eradicate these kinds of divisions.
Let us uphold Quran and Hadeeth..
That is enough to live as true Muslims.
Let's forget and forgive the past and people involved in..

Salahuddin Ayyubi Rahmatullah Alaih fought relentless wars against crusaders until even his army refused to continue fighting. His determination for Islam and honor has given him the rank of warrior of Islam that will live forever. On his tombstone is inscribed , Ya allah open the gates of paradise for him, as he opened the gates of Aqsa for the ummah

So are you saying that only salahudinn fought for al Aqsa or it was a cause that re united the muslims. You are exactly what Yasir qadhi is describing.

Very interesting discussion. Sheikh is spot on , zenji and shirkuh instrumental figures in reestablishing Muslim control in the Middle East during the crusades had interesting backgrounds, hardly the model Muslims you would usually think of. Shirkuh was an amazing military commander.

The day was 2nd October 1187 in which the first Jummah was held after 88 years at Al Aqsa. The whole compound was purified with rose water.
Jersusalem was the lost camel of the believer according to an excerpt from the Khatib of that Jummah Khutbah.

This lecture fits well within the maxim of Sheik YQ's " Islaam as a religion is divine but Islaamic history is human". But at the end of the day every thing boils down to " end doesn't justify the means". Allah ( Jal) is the ultimate and the best Judge and we leave everything to Him and Him alone.

I wish that this lecture reaches those who are bringing the past of Imran Khan to get him disqualified, from the days when he was not close to deen. That man as a prime minister raised his voice on a global forum about the honour and love of our beloved prophet Mohammad saw and and what it means to us. How the blasphemous content hurt our hearts as an Ummah and made a huge impact 😢. In his home country he is facing all sorts of challenges with such dignity but the opposing forces are being as stubborn as can be. They are trying to use any personal shortcomings that he had and even not shying away to call him ‘yahoodi agent’. SubhanAllah!
May Allah swt open their eyes to see the truth. Ameen

Dr Qadhi, what an insightful and powerful short lecture. You know how LinkedIn shows everyone always, “onwards and upwards” while we all know nothing is ever onwards or upwards without bumps, dips, pits and circles. This is how KG level understanding and simplistic worldview of 1.8B people have to evolve through the much needed reality check. This summary does exactly that.

Amazing talk given. Most times, about salahudin ayubi, it’s about his victories. But this talk brings me back to reality based upon his journey in order to craft a plan (which most might not agree) for the grand scheme of things to work for the sake of Islam. I love talk. It provides knowledge which is applicable in the real world. Alhamdulillah

"That was a people that hath passed away. They shall reap the the fruit of what they did, and ye of what ye do! Of their merits there is no question in your case". Verse 134, AlBaqara.
May Allah reward Salahuddeen Ayyubi with the highest rank in Jannah and may He guard our tongues from peaking ills and insinuating evil against the chosen servants of Allah who He put forward to uplift His Deen and protect the Umman Ameen.

MashaAllah..May ALLAH swt bless and protect the Shiek and his Jammah and all Muslims in wherever place. The Sheik and Jammah, to my humble mind, is so really good to have that blessed forum of good education about Islam. Muslims, esp. young Muslims, should know genuine history of Islam, Muslim leaders, the memorable events, practices, ethics and everything possible. Who will be the next Salahudin Ayubih to unite Muslim Ummah and make unforgettable history of victory for the sake of Islam? Subhanallah. Alhamdulillah. Allahu Akbar!

But as you said politically he is doing a very very important job that is "THE CONSOLIDATION OF MUSLIM NATIONS"... Inshallah... We will be united as in the Times of Khulafaurrashideen, or in the time of Salahudheen ayyubi.... Insha Allah👍👍👍

JazakAllahu Khair sheikh. This subject has been massive discussing point amongst me and some of my friends. Islamic politics is something that is so misunderstood by many muslims and non-muslims alike. When the Ummah is broken, as its is now, sometimes things have to be done by the one who wants to unite them that may not be a favourable in the eyes of many scholars. Salahuddin (r.a) did what he did to unite the Ummah & to bring back the honour and the lands to the Muslims. Unfortunately politics will require such figures to do things maybe in the start that will not look favorably in the light of Quran & Sunnah initially or it requires a deeper understanding. Unfortunately the reality is that politics in such a environment, as Salahuddins time and more so in our times, may not allow righteous leaders to get away without being tainted with errors. It would be wrong, I believe, to think that harm was intended by such controversial figures or decisions that are seen controversial. Like the sheikh said Salahuddin had idea of what he wanted to do.
Reminds of what shiekh ibn taymiyyah said in his book "Diseases of the Hearts and its Cures" regarding the soul being as close to the ideal of a perfect slave rather being a perfect slave.
Not to say that sins and errors are allowed but rather try your best to erradicate & minimise your errors, at the same time asking for forgiveness for those errors that remain.
Like you shiekh I can never be a politician the water is too murky and I think I will mostly likely end up with anxiety out of worry how I look in front of Allah.
    Allahu Alim.
May Allah reward Salahuddin and forgive him of his errors.
May Allah guide our leaders and May Allah unite this ummah with another man like Salahuddin. Ameen

Man-so much I don’t about Islamic history. We need more Islamic Muslim historians who can speak in eloquence.

Salah Diin was a very pious man who loved the Quran and read everyday. He had great scholar by the name of Qadi Al Fadil who was his confidente and he did alot to make sure to liberate Qudus. Salah Diin was not power hungry who did what politicians do and he didn’t leave his family money and palaces. May Allah forgive him and give him the Janatul firdows insha Allah.

Great lecture! We see two contemporary examples in Erdogan and Imran Khan of politicians from which to learn lessons. One of them has clearly done things that are questionable but has remained hyper aware of his detractors and opponents so he can stay in power. The other failed to keep his eyes on his opponents and saw his power swiftly taken away through bribery, threats and siyasa.
Cunning and guile are requisites of successful politics in the dunya.
