- Hi everyone! This is a cover of Vance Joy's song Riptide, performed by my daughter Katie at the lockdown high school graduation block party that we threw for her. Note: the recording picks up after the first verse, as we paused the performance to fix some feedback issues with the sound system. The video was recorded on our block in front of our house with our neighbors in attendance. The music performance was later in the evening on Saturday 06-14-20 from Katie's "block party" walk down the street video that I also uploaded. We are so proud of Katie! 😁💓
The song was released by Australian singer-songwriter Vance Joy on his debut album God Loves You When You're Dancing in 2013.
Found myself back here listening as I turn 20 (3:07 am baby here), and man I’m ABSOLUTELY the luckiest guy in the whole world. Thank you for raising such a beautiful and talented daughter ❤️
