I finished this game in my teen years with no issue, now in my 30s I've had to resort to TH-cam to complete this level....I can't believe how bad I am at gaming now -_-. Thanks for this video btw, legend!
This is my strategy: I have only a rifleman squad, a AT, a ranger squad left from previous mission. 1. Order squads in the hill come down to the south 88's as quickly as you can. Few grenades will help to sweep the gun's squad away. Then, CAPTURE the 88's, DO NOT destroy it. It will help to defend the south side. 2. While you are ordering troops to take the 88's, order every squads and tank to capture the south VP. Nazi will attack you there but don't worry, your recently captured 88's will take care of them. Just left the HQ there, if it is destroyed, still ok, you can order engineer squads repair it later. In case of you lose all of your engineer squad, there will be parachute engineer squad as the reinforcement and it for free.3. Order some troops to capture the hill VP quickly to stop losing the points. While capture the hill VP, you need tanks and AT go to the right - down corner of the map, there are Nazi buildings there, including HQ. Destroy everything you see there and protect this position. When the Nazi HQ destroyed, the won't take the VP until they recover the HQ. So that secure that position with tanks, rifleman and some mortal squads. At the north of that position is the position of 88's. But between 2 positions is wood so that you don't need to worry about being swept out by 88's. 4. Order engineer squads come back to HQ to repair it, take along some guards. When you recover, build army to take down other VP.5. You should buy 2 Calliope from Armor skills tree, take them to Nazi HQ ( make sure it is in your troops hand) to sweep out the 88's.
I can't believe you encountered such little resistance at the beginning of the level. When I play this I have hardly anyone on top of the hill left and I get crapped on immediately by like 8 panzers...
I had a full camp going into this and was getting hammered the 1st few tries. I didn't realize I just had to grab and old the points as fast as possible. It went smooth after watching this. Playing on mobile you have to pause alot
The difficulty is that it's the first mission where things happens simultaneously at multiple points on the map. So it's a good idea to use the pause button of the keyboard to issue orders quickly enough. Then you can use rangers (use infantry operations like in this walkthrough) to fight tanks. Just be sure to put them where they have a green shield. And creating sand defenses is really useful too. Then of course, try to capture as much resource points (and fortify them) as possible.
You can cheese this mission by eluding the main strike team of axis and easily recap VPs when they go for the next one. Having support from captured 88s makes it very easy even on expert.
I finished this mission on my last computer but i don't know how, watching this doesn't make sense either as he doesn't even have all the man power points and yet he has 368 after taking the victory points, i have all victory points and man power and still only 189, this must have been played on easy, also the number of enemies is very small on this walk through

Parsonally, this is the hardest Mission that I've ever played. Failed all three strategies attack and it haunt me in my sleep

I play this on normal too but im attacked with tanks on mass in the first minutes they destroy me hard

agree . the solution is you have trainer /cheat to make all your unit God Mode ...LOL!

clearly hes cheating because last time i did this mission by base got blitzed by 7 panzers, 1 M10 cant deffend aganserds that bullshit
