This is how I met my late husband of 34 years. I miss him so much! I kept all his vinyl records that he used to buy in LA. We used to dance with this kind of music in SF clubs DV8, City nights, etc.
I did the same thing going to Hollywood back in the 80's and get all the latest vinyl records at Tower Records, Ron's Records and Prime Cuts in West Hollywood came home with a shit load of records. Now I have 4 crates of records locked up in Storage. Greatest Decade Ever!

For some reason, Electronic Dance/Club music, started to go completely off the rails from 1998 onwards...Apart from a few rare exceptions, the music (?) that is churned out, by those who consider themselves to be musicians, is just generic sounding shite with zero creativity and appeal. The one D.J/Producer, who tries to keep it `Old School`, is Calvin Harris who does manage to release some decent tunes that sound as if he has taken more than 5 minutes, to create and produce the track...Cheers Mongo.
I was 15 when this master piece came out. I also was a disco nut then too. Funny disco was dead in the 80s so it just went underground. Thank heaven it did. Some of the best underground disco came out in the early 80s.😀
