- Another CabCam, and wow its on my favourite bus! 835 the old Volvo. absolutely beautiful. I hope you all like this bus and its charm as much as I do!
I hope you're all loving the new camera angle that im using, im trying to get more vehicles filmed this way but I can only film on vehicles that have some sort of safety screen as this is what I stick my go pro to! So my apologies if some videos aren't always filmed like this.

Great driving Shaun. I see you have the ex London Wright Gemini 1.
thanks Mr flat cap for a very nice blog as i yous drive around there area that that bus in my last job
Watching this makes me long to get back to work and back on the road....
Do iiiiiiiiiiit
Nice bus drove that on the 180 in London.
Very scenic and peaceful route but blimey, that was one hell of a quiet run passenger-wise!
Hi from Australia flat cap driver. Streets look eerily quiet. No doubt there have been trips where you have picked up no one.
Love your videos, it's a nice glimpse of professional drivers from across the pond. cheers from Canada and keep safe, from a fellow (semi truck) driver ;)
In Wellington, New Zealand, we've had flash diesel and 100% electric double decker buses since July 2018. We love them. Tranzurban Wellington are hiring. It takes 6 weeks to get bus licence then if you get it, you have to wait another 3 months before you can go for your class 4 licence then once you pass that you can drive the double deckers. Wellington NZ has a lot of hills and narrow streets. Good to see you sharing your experiences!
Looks like a proper calm and chilled route! Hope you're well pal.
The old Volvo B7 they are brilliant I loved driving those. That older style was quicker than the 05 onwards. Only thing is that steering wheel Is a nightmare when you're at a set of lights and you rest your arms and press the horn.
I've done that on a Volvo. But a more recent one - 2013. Two buttons for the horn.
TBH, I never liked driving these buses. I preferred the B9 over the B7. Newer buses like the ADL400 are much better to drive.
Another fantastic video from TFCBD! Loving this view, it’s something different and I like it! Hope all is well, family and friends, please keep safe in these uncertain times, but we will all get through this, together! Stay at home. Protect the NHS. Save lives. All the best mate. 🙂
good work shaun great vid got me out of the house for 49 mins too see the out side world agian well got rid of my strees. stuck in isolation for the next 14 days.
Very good driver
I like that bus flat cap!
Brilliant camera view, thanks for making another video for us all to watch.
Nice one I like this view
Great video Shaun happy u got some videos 4 us while we’re stuck inside
This was fun to watch!!
Meanwhile in Brighton, we have a GPS/radio unit that tells us which stop is next and a due time. Some of them are important, others are not. Remembering them for different routes is tricky.
Cracking video as usual mate
Good vid mate keep up tha hard work some B7tl u r driving lol
nice to see the Gemini still going!
and of course great video as always!
Ex-london aswell
Nice gloves, stay safe.
I prefer this camera angle 👍
A bit more of the left would be nicer.
@@fin57 he uses that view because the company has a social media policy that (likely) forbids videoing customers / passengers, with the view he uses you never see the customers.
@@Joshxx3774x i know that but slightly more of the left would be nice but wouldnt be breaking rules.
My Ross travel I've missed getting on them 😢 like my drivers are so lovely get along with like all of them 😂
Oh I know. I know two lovely drivers who let me on and they are a great laugh to have with. I use to know 3 but one of them has left. Another went to CT plus and another one went to Arriva Yorkshire. Ross travel are my local operator
Very nice bus
Not a bad bus this one, was at Elland depot for a couple of months
I love these types of geminis but i prefer the ones with that weird shaped window at the back
Nice video stay safe Shaun, I have sent you the thank you video on instragram
Nice to see another cab cam vid & on a nice route as well. Have u done a 435/6/7 cab cam yet or is that one to film in the future?
Brilliant video 👍🏻🇬🇧🏴🏴🇨🇮🇨🇦. Just one ? Why do u throw it in neutral when u stop m8 ? U know I drive a wagon never done that in my whole driving career.👍🏻👊🏻💪🏻. Go 🐅 go 😁
I've not watched the full video yet but I haven't seen him go into neutral when stopping for lights? Are you sure you're not getting mixed up with the parking brake?
Very bleak out there Shaun . on paid leave here at cheltenham stagecoach (furlough) and i hate it mate just like other people, i miss a packed bus hope it returns soon. stay safe brother.
Were you told to take Furlough or did you volunteer? I personally volunteered as approximately 12 weeks off was right up my street. The depot I'm at actually had too many volunteers for Furlough.
I really don't understand this furlough think I'm on that for two weeks now and still haven't been paid I mean in my head if you don't work you don't get paid
@@karazor-el9596 Furlough is basically temporary suspension of staff, but you should still be getting paid 80% of your wage directly from your employer.
@@johnhall4917 but I haven't done any work so I've no wages to be paid is this 80% thing to keep you on payroll
@@karazor-el9596 The Gov't is funding this 80% so it doesn't come out of your employer's pocket. It doesn't matter whether you do any work or not. The "Job Retention Scheme" is to keep you and your job safe.
Thanks and another great video. Just wondering what is the Trainee Uniform for Yorkshire Tiger like?
great video have you done 502 that goes between halifax and keighley via cullingworth
Dewsbury road.. I used to been 126/7 14 years ago....think I could do 231 now 👍
ex london bus VWL19 see fleet number near the CCTV is good run
Do you ever do the Flying Tiger 757 bus from Leeds? If so, would not mind poping on and saying Hi one day :)
Lf52tgv used to be on one of my local routes in southeast london
Ooooh, I spy an ex-igo Solo SR on the stand next to you in the beginning! Can we have it back please? ;)
Nfinity
😂😂😂😂🤣🤣🤣
hi mate i just wanted to give you some advice about the gloves when you use gloves you have to replace them everytime you touch a different surface so your best bet is a bottle of hand jel
We very rarely handle cash now, the gloves just keep us safe from any contamination in the cab. We disinfect the cab every trip.
Suppose every little helps. We all carry hand gel and soap 🧼
@@TheFlatCapBusDriver thats good stay safe
Sean you are personal bus driver
*shaun
@@fin57 I spelt it the Irish way do you know you get a shouout from Jordan from mancbuses cheers for telling me fin wotsits
How long does it take you to learn a route?
Go north east (my local company) replaced gemini 1s with Gemini 2s! Unfortunately
How long is the all round journey. And does ur depot get new fleet every few year or do u get cast offs from other depots
Which is better the Gemini or the lowlanders?
ur lucky in london u gotta wait after every couple bus stops due to running early
I deliberately run a minute late and to reduce stopping at timing points, I just drive slower. 15mph from beginning to end. Even in a 30. Sometimes I may go up to 20 there.
is the bus still orange
are busses easy to drive.and do double deckers sway in the wind
David Houghton They do sway a bit in the wind. I would imagine they are easy to drive with safety features and power steering
Any chance of a Cab Cam from a DB250? :P (If you get chance)
What free video editing apps would advise me to get
Oooooh is this type of bus does ur company have a 2009 one the face is right the back is different?
A B9TL Wright Eclipse Gemini? Unless it’s changed recently they don’t.
This here is an ex London Volvo B7TL Wright Eclipse Gemini.
Yea I believe that right and thanks they have them in Bristol
Very nice Yorkshire is a good city or town

You should visit the country of Halifax. They have their own flag, currency, language and drive in the right.
@@EinkOLED I went to the village of Cumbria once excellent place rather large I thought for a village but everywheres different I guess😏
@@karazor-el9596 They even have their own nuclear power station. What other village has one?
Does this have a Volvo b7tl engine
It certainly is a Volvo B7. We have a couple of these ex London examples at my depot.
Shame these buses are getting old
I think this bus has been scraped now 😭😭😭😭
See loads of empty buses, can’t be cost efficient surely ?
The buses I'm driving use at most 1qtr of a tank to 1/16th or less. Remembering they are topped up every night to the brim. No idea what their capacity is though.
B7tl
how do people even manage to live on such a bad wage
It's the government and the company. The government for setting a low minimum wage and the company for only paying you the legal minimum. I'm lucky to get paid at least £9.28 per hour.
