I’m a huge SF fan. I love their work from ‘67. I grew up in Belfast Northern Ireland and my friends were and still are Mods, so I heard the SF during my teenage years. Your knowledge and enthusiasm is infectious. I subscribed to your channel and looking forward to checking out more of your videos. Have you covered Scott Walker’s solo albums from 1967 to 1970? I’d love to hear your thoughts on those 5 albums. Great work! Greetings from Sweden.
Hello from America! Thank you for such a great comment and subscribing I really appreciate it!! I actually cut alot out of this video and one digression was about having NO frame of reference for Mods up through my twenties. It's still a little bit mysterious to me haha. Funny you should mention Scott Walker. The "Scott" Albums are ultimate Autumn music to me, and I absolutely LOVE them. I would have done them this year but the Lou Reed videos took me forever and I wanted to get some shorter ones out before I start working on the next PiL epics. But yeah, trust me when I say that I will eventually make videos about those masterpieces!
@ I am looking forward to your video on Scott. The album after Scott 4 - “Till the band comes in” from 1970 is very underrated. It’s not as good as the first 4 albums and it’s definitely not Scott 5, but it works as an epilogue to Scott’s 60’s work and as such should be reconsidered. Scott 5 came out about 14 years later, only Scott called it “Climate of Hunter”. I would argue that COH is superior to S4, it’s a brilliant album. Your channel is superb and your research and analysis is excellent.
Great video as always. You make me ashamed for never deep diving The Small Faces, which I'll be promptly doing now...!!
Thank you so much Edwin!! I hope you enjoy the deep dive!
