Thanks for the video and info, Chef and Company. What bat would you suggest for an old guy that used to hit 'em far but hasn't swung a bat in literally 20 + years. I have retired and thinking about taking up playing senior ball. Probably need something to last as I am probably going to hit a hundred balls a day for the first month or so. I have an old TPS and a Miken and a Easton Titanium to just swing. I have no idea how they would simulate real game situations with the new balls. I hear you talking about 52 cores and when I played that was the stadium ball and was hard as a rock. Any info would be appreciated! Thanks!
Hey Chef great review as always. The league I play in up here in Canada uses 52/275 balls I think. I’m wondering how much less distance do you lose using the 52s compared to the harder balls?
Last years was a good bat. Great pop. Biggest difference for me is the feel. This years has a crisp feel compared to last years. When you get into one you’ll know. Last years had a softer feel in the response as you’d hit a ball and gotta make sure it’s gone.
Big Chef I got a bat recommendation opinion question. I play in a Usssa league where you can use any thumbprint and no compression testing. What would be you go to bat?
Kinda disappointed in these. With us having to test in AZ these bats are just a waste of money. Only get a few tournaments out of it and then can’t use it when it fails.
I agree with you. For league play they don't test here, but for tournaments, you may only get a couple of tournaments to swing this thing before it fails. With the new bats being so hot out of the wrapper, my concern is durability.
I understand. While most players don't deal with bat testing some of us do. I think they're driven strictly on performance. However, Maybe 30-40 cuts with 52's and game it after. may hold compression a lot longer.
Aye chef, I'd love to see a video of all the stuff you bring with you to the field. Keep up the good work.
Will do. May do a blog soon.
Which did u like better this or the gold KP?

Hey Tim. The bats nowadays are so advanced and really don’t need any breaking. Durability and performance I’d say suncoast, Miken or Easton
Thanks!@@Bigchefsoftball
Found a good deal on the FREAK 9R but I’m between this one and the FREAK. Any pointers on what the big difference between these bats are? Thanks.
Both are good. The new models do give a better response on contact. Imo
Thanks for the feedback! I think I’ll go with the new!

Some 52’s travel better than others. The nsa hycon travels well. I don’t have an exact number. For me it averages 20-30ft less
How do you compare this to the 2023 JR9?

Wich one you like it more this one or the KP gold one chef?
Really don’t have a preference. I like em both tbh

Any?? I would love for an old 220 bat for cheap. Most of the new 240’s are hot too. I think the adidas ruckus are still smelling fir cheap
Another banger!🔥💪🏼would you say these new pro m1’s are more stiff then last years freak 9r and ss krecher or about the same stiffness? Thanks chef!
These are not as soft as last years in my opinion
Which did you like better the gold kp or this one?
Honestly I don’t have a preference. Both felt great
How many balls do you lose in a batting sessions?
Fortunately not many. There’s a ditch behind the fence where most balls are hit
