- Late to the party with this one, but Episode 6 was PHENOMINAL! I'll say it once and I'll say it again, Helluva Boss is amazing!! Thank you Jefferson Friedman for this amazing theme for an amazing characer, and I only hope that this cover is even a little bit as amazing as Stolas is!

What I love about the moments when this song appears is that it shows how absolutely powerful Stolas actually is. He can petrify with just a look. He can adopt a giant monstrous form and posses humans. He can just neutralize a room full of humans with weapons in a blink. And yet he hires blitzo to accompany him to loo loo land for "protection". He blushes when he's with him. His face lights up when blitzo calls him. He does use the book as an excuse to manipulate him, but he could do whatever he wanted with blitz and nobody would bat an eye. Yet he never uses his powers on him. He clearly cares about him.
@Angel Dust well, doomguy leterally killed his own creator, his "God". Saying that he could kill Stolas is not wrong. Plus he got the power of a seraphin, wich make him kinda god-like
Correction: most of his spells such as opening portals, cursing the red moon, or manipulating the stars, need him to be in possession or in close proximity of his book. But other abilities such as petrification, possession, haunting, and his demon form, are things that come naturally to him. It’s like being able to build a house, compared to making a sweater

@@Paalleujo No I'm pretty sure that the book just lists various spells, which makes Stolas capable of opening portals.
The group, being the way it is, doesn't know the spell quite as good as stolas, hence why they need to read it.
Besides, Stolas opened a portal on his way to Asmodeus's club, and he wouldn't carry the book with him through the various rings of hell.

This kind of thing is why I love Stolas.
The dichotomy of bird
Never forget that in the Ars Goetia, Stolas is considered one of the friendliest and one of the weakest Great Princes, teaching those that summon him about precious stones, herbs and astrology.
And that's also why he freaked out and cowered when Asmodeus started talking to him.
Asmodeus is a Greater Demon King, Lord of 72 Legions, answering to no one save Lucifer, and oversees the gambling houses scattered across hell
Actually, some books state that a demon named Amaymon has "power over" Asmodeus.
I believe Asmodeus picked on him because he was alone at that time, if Stolas were with his father, Paimon, (another Great Demon King of Hell) things would’ve been different, but Paimon’s an asshole of a father so meh

Iirc Asmodeus is a Goetia King, and also one of the Seven Deadly Sins, being Lust. I’m sure even Paimon would answer to him

It's easy to forget with how much of an endearing perverted dork Stolas is, but no matter how friendly, he is still a *_DEMON LORD_* at the end of the day. He could easily kill dynasties and topple empires easier than he can deal with Stella, and it's a credit to his mercy that he _doesn't_ do that.

That's precisely why he's my favorite character. At the same time he's a friendly dork he's still a Demon Lord, and he never ignored this fact; he just chooses not to act like he's one of the most powerful demons of the Ars Goetia (afawk) and acts like a teenager in love around Blitz.
That's what I love about him. Even when we've seen the most out of him (possessing Agent 2 and becoming a big owl demon) he acts like this is a normal Tuesday afternoon. He hardly even broke a sweat!
@@aaronxlycan2880 The characters of Helluva Boss are based off of real religiius characters, like Stolas being a prince of the Ars Goetia, a group that really does exist in religion.
Asmodeus, too, is a religious character in the Ars Goetia.
He may be a sweetheart, but he can also be freaking terrifying.
It’s also a sign of how much he loves Octavia. If he wanted to, he could smite Stella with a click of his fingers. But he presumably thinks she would be better off with both her parents, however unpleasant and difficult Stella can be.

Well Paimon is Lucifers right hand in demonology. So Paimon would be nearly as powerful as Lucifer himself.
Stolas's leitmotiv is truly one of the most iconic pièces of the show

I don't know why, but with the red shades and red lighting combined with the orchestral theme, it reminds me of the Rouge One scene when Darth Vader appears at the end of the hall.

With ANYONE who sides with Stolas ended up killing Stella with either a celestial rifle ( anyone from IMP ) OR EVEN THEIR POWERS ( any member of House Of Goetia, MAYBE PAIMON )

This is incredible! The being had that impact to show you the power he has. Then there’s the piano and the stringed instruments that show his friendliness and silliness but there’s that trumpet to say to not underestimate him. Then the last course kicks in with the singing, the drums, the static sound to remind you he is a prince of hell yet again. Don’t take his kindness for weakness

We don't know how powerful Stella is, but my gut feeling says she's been very, very, VERY lucky so far considering what she put her husband through.

This song, on its own, convinced me that _someone_ needs to make a soulslike action RPG about descending into hell to hunt down and slay all the demons in the Ars Goetia. It would be such an awesome game. It just sounds so much like a Bloodborne boss theme.

oh i just realized that this is the same melody(rather thee original stolas speaks) as gilded jail. no wonder gilded jail sounded so similar; it was stolas' overture that they used when ever he entered or there was a scene mainly about him.

Imagine striker tries to kill stolas at the festival again but fails the job again due to do that fight we saw in the 2022 trailer so Stella fires him after receiving the news and goes to kill stolas herself, stolas uses the book to showcase the moon and in the corner of his eye he sees Stella with a sniper in her hand that she stole from moxie, stolas closes the portal and turns into his giant red black scary aaa bird form and chases after Stella, stolas is tired of her bullshit so he goes back to the stag, holds her by her neck opens the portal again and throws her in, turns in to his scary bird form again, let's out a giant roar to show Stella how much anger he's been holding in, he flaps his cape over himself and turns back into his regular form stares at her with a grin on his face and closes the portal before she can escape, the crowd cheers, and stolas throws a party to mock Stella despite her not being there anymore

Edit: the reason she didn't use the blessed tip bullet sniper or whatever is because she wanted nothing to do with striker she just yelled at him to leave and so he did
