I've already done the intro, but figured I'd include the opera version of the intro and the ending of the game, as well. I took the FFVI STR video files directly from the PS1 ROM, converted them to AVI using chroma upsampling, then used AI to upgrade them from 240p 15fps to nearly 1080p 30fps. Cheers!

It would a dream come true to see this game get a Final Fantasy 7 style remake
Director of Ff6 said it would take 20 years. 😢 In other words never going to happe...so bummed out about that. If they did it would he one of the greatest games ever made.

@@manga3040 IMHO the FFVI experience would suffer under a photorealistic style. A better approach would be stylized graphics like Dragon Quest, maybe draw inspiration from the film Steamboy for the right blend between fantasy and industrial environments.

I want a remake of FF6 too. Imagine in this art style. They’re Yoshitaka Amano’s character designs.
I like this 3d version of characters, its so nostalgic rather than the remake if their 3d version in dissidia Final fantasy, I hope the director and the development team would make this an inspiration to remake FFVI with full 3Dimensional game and they have to go back to Turned Based method, and also this 3d version of the characters are nice to be use as model if they gonna remake it, just put some a little definition to it. Without fully changing their faces. for me this is my top 1 of the FF series.

Now I understand why they said that the director of this game FFVI says that it will took 20 years to do a remake of this game more than the years of FFVII, it is because if they make this a remake, the whole story should not be changed which is so amazing, then they have to pay attention for each character (imagine you have 14 playable characters) which make essential in this game, I mean playable unlike FFVII rebirth remake some of them was placed under AI controlled, if they gonna put some of the FFVI characters in AI the essence, gem and originality of the game will be gone, and each one of them has strong participation in the game no one was left behind, they are not just cameo or a filler characters unlike in any other series. It's a whole lot of work to do. And it is better to do a turn based because the execution of the magic, attacks it will be like cinematic, will be amazing.. rather than MMORPG type...

I never understood why the Playstation Versions of Final Fantasy IV through VI plus Chrono Trigger have longer Loading Times.
Disc spin up and seek time. Don't have that with a simple lookup table and a ROM.
only ps1 hardware. no where else. stop blindly believing weebs
I noticed too, but it never bothered me until I played Chrono Trigger. It'd take like 5 seconds just to load up the menu screen, which was pretty excruciating.

The bit of CT I played on the PS1 was awful.
Entering battles seemed to take longer than actual PS1 JRPGs like FF7-9. I understand seek times but most of the data on the disk was the anime cutscenes.
The CT game itself was large for an SNES game, but that was still only 4 MB (32 Mbit). Most of that could have been held in the RAM at the same time. (Granted, the PS1 only had 2 MB of RAM, it's still enough for a large portion of the game).

They made this cutscene after ff7 and ff8. This was a rerelease of ff6 at the time and they included cutscenes.
The original ff6 had no cutscenes
