Take a close look at the newest area of my LEGO City - downtown. The latest news from MrBookieboo and the rebuild of his LEGO room. LEGO tips, tricks, advice and more!
I wonder if the Lego 2 Movie poster detracts from the architecture of the Palace Cinema. I really like what you've done with your city so far and have been enjoying your channel a lot.
Downtown looks awesome 👍. What if you moc the Avengers Tower ....make it a bit smaller to fit underneath the shelve...it would look great behind the Corner Garage
So glad to see your city coming together again. Agree the downtown looks so lovely with the all different levels of the buildings. Have fun with this and look forward to the next update.
Hey luv'n the new start & layout...the tuning garage section is perfect...I was thinking that U'r avenger tower could be modified to sit on a custom train station akin to the movie where they had above grand central...this way it wouldn't block other modular buildings or the peninsula where U'r European style set will be...I really like what U have done..currently I am working on my lego city which is actually a neighborhood 39"×39" space. I do plan making a 24" sq table with storage to extend for the purpose of adding a ballpark, for now I would love to complete the main space....thank U for sharing, it been a pleasant journey thus .😊
We also put an open grassy park area in front of our City Hall and some other modulars. It is a really nice place to put picnics, food trucks, playing with dogs, etc. It is a nice place to "play"! Congrats on your progress!
I really like the new downtown area , I think it would be worth making it 3 buildings deep , so you could get layered access from the side and have more depth .
Looking good. No need to overthink the building locations. I think the nurse I’m needs to be at center of a street with a courtyard or fountain or something in front of it. But no roads. Like your talking about for city hall
Love the Palace Cinema too! Seeing that one for the first time inspired me to get into modulars. Also, I liked hearing how you're dividing the American style buildings from European style to give each neighborhood a consistent feel. I think that makes a lot of sense. Nice work!
I love your custom builds. A thing I’ve been contemplating (maybe’s more for myself, but also others) is if we should move away from the grey wall designs many of us have?
Thank you! So, I’ve been thinking about that a lot. I’ve been focused on adding more texture and plants. A new color would be interesting but I’m not sure what color 🤔
The downtown area looks great, green grocer looks amazing next to town hall. What if you put the police station next to the bank maybe the different levels would look nice. Keep it up mark, I really want to see the finished product
I'm loving this layout so far, and I'm so glad you're having so much fun with this! :D One idea I thought of as you were talking about making and placing the facades is maybe printing lego roads or something on paper to match the vision you had for them without trying to cram road plates behind modulars :0 Just a suggestion tho. Glad to be with you during the process!! :]
Great video sir 😊 I like the street being broken up and having that green area. What if you put the Avengers Tower in the forefront? Meaning in the what looks to be middle section? A bit off centered, that way the mountains will look like they are further in the distance and the scale may work out better? Hard to say without being there but just a thought. Have fun 😊

Thanks so much! The poster is a bit huge but it reminds me of the huge advertisements we have in LA.
cant wait for the ninjago section!
I have something special planned for that area.
@@MrBookieboo ill be looking forward to it!

Good idea!
Love the way you present your city and your thought process. Super clear and entertaining
Thank you so much!
Agree 😃 puzzling around with al the builds is fun to do. Especially when the result is really satisfying
Definitely! This is my favorite part of city building.
Call it sacrilege, but just remove a floor or two from the Avengers Tower to make it fit (?)
That’s a really good idea!
Maybe you could put the Sanctum Sanctorum where the Grand Emporium is? Keep all the licensed stuff together.
I may try that - good idea!

Agreed.

Thanks so much! We’ll see how it all ends up but I’m definitely having fun.
progress is always a good thing. small or big.
Agreed!

Loving it! I am trying to work on mine, though my 4 yr old starts taking things apart. Where did you get your The Lego Movie 2 mini poster? I love it.
Thank you!! The movie poster came with the old deluxe dvd 🙈😂

It’s been really fun to rebuild.
Good miring from Scotland 🏴 loving your Lego city 🏙️ glad your back at it 😃
Thank you so much!
Great video! But I liked the old layout more, but this is nice too, and will be nicer vhen it will be done:)
Personally I would move the Sanctum Sanctorum into the downtown area, but that's just me
I may try that, thanks!
The American style downtown needs a 6 lane highway cutting through
Where’s ninjago land
It’s coming 😊
Windows are over-rated! More room for lego! 😂
lol!
