That is the best and most informative video I have seen on this channel to date. No brand pushing adverts of any kind, just great information and good fishing.
Enjoy this video very much nice to see the 20 foot has not changed that much for the winter fishing from my time on there, techniques have move on but the baits and the baiting remain, well done Alex and good luck
Only just seen this, I don't do this sort of fishing anymore, but I would have sold my soul to the devil for this sort of instruction back in the day. This lad really knows his stuff.
That was a very interesting and informative video it's hard to beat a good day on the roach and skimmers on rivers. im in Norfolk and fish with NDAA on the bure thurne and the yare wensom and the quality of the fishing is just superb now gets a bit tricky winter months on the tidal stretches with the salt tides. So many people still think the rivers are like they were 20years ago and don't bother finding out facts they don't know what they are missing. Thanks for the great vid
@@retrobob3802 Does seem a bit odd, why not just call it 5? If it was 3 and 2 I could understand it more as the top 3 normally make a kit on their own.
I have fished March a few times this winter, including this peg. I still learning pole fishing - what does Alex mean by 4 and 1 or 4 plus 1? Alex's videos describing the fens are great!
it means his rig length is 4 sections long and he added the 1 making 5 when the rig is in the water and fishing quicker way of pole fishing but stills fishing to hand like a whip

Hi i'm doing some research on bog Oak and the buried forest in fenland. I think there is still some stumps, 2-3 FT high. Have you Seen one of them.
Bang on the money. Good filming.
Super vid👍
Great vid. What does 4 and 1 mean?
I asked the same question too and someone answered, it means 5 pole sections. Not sure why it's phrased like that.

The first number relates to the length of the rig and the second number refers to the amount of sections added.
@@robertcourt8593 Thanks that makes sense.
First class well presented
