The mounted version on the old Slaaneshi steed had a badass crescent shield and that glaive. Apparently, that was one of the driving aesthetics for a lot of Slaaneshi stuff going forward. Here, the design of the Keeper/N'kari? model is clearly based off of Forgeworld's Keeper model, but they gave it the old champ's polearm and shield. That makes me happy.
The narrator could have been describing every winter when my 2 youngest kids were still in primary school. What an eventful and interesting 7 years that was.

Tzeech is my favorite, but if I had to put money on one of the chaos gods beating the other 3. It would be Nurgle. I think Nurgle and Khorne could go to war, Knorne could win every battle but Nurgle would still win the war. Edit: I really hope that Nurgle has a lot of passive abilities on the campaign map. I don't want them to have the strongest army, but be the hardest to attack into.

That was fantastic battle presentation! Nurgle terrain battle map so COOL! Units of Slaanesh look gorgerous - shinning, black-purple colour of daemons were top notch. The new abilities were also interesting, bomba nurglings especially. Nurgle and Slaanesh Grinders were unique and represent aspects of their Chaos Patrons perfectly, like most of units in this battle. We have seen Ku'Gath artillery animation but we haven't seen Fiends of Slaanesh battle which sad me a bit but Slaanesh daemonetess were cool engaging. Still, Nurglings are MVP of this presentation and I hope that corrupted battle map of Nurgle provinces/regions will be like that. Vampire Counts corruption should also "Terraform" terrain of battle maps like that - that would be cool.
Ku'gath moves across reality atop a palanquin carried by a mound of thousands of straining Nurglings. 4:42 The six or so Nurgling's carrying the palanquin seemed to be having some serious issues.
Yeah probably performance issues putting more of them in there. I wouldn't be surprised if the issues with Ku'Gath'd planning are maybe what changed their mind about Greasus' gnoblars

Balancing the strengths and weaknesses of all four gods creates unbreakable armies. The inevitable success of such a force in battle creates a snowball effect by building the reputation of their leaders, be it a lord, sorcerer, or Everchosen, causing more warriors from all walks of faith to flock to their banner and enjoy their spoils. The ultimate gamble here is that Undivided is simply another phenomenon in the Great Game. It serves all four gods for a time, but as soon as the balance tips, it falls apart. The main focus I would emphasis is that this effect is uniquely caused by the choices and free will of mortals.

Shalaxi is a duelist focused KoS who enjoys 1v1ing other greater daemons, Especially Bloodthirsters. Sort of like how seen in other imatges Rotigus is used for a generic Great unclean one.
This is very exciting! That being said, I can't help but notice that some of the recent videos don't seem to be in full-HD (even when forcing 1080p on TH-cam), and that pretty much all the official gameplay recordings show quite a few stutters and framedrops... fingers crossed the release game's performance will be on-par (or exceeding) what we got in TW:W2. :)
@@alevort is that true? I always thought performance was worse in TW games bc it actually demands more work out of computers than most, if not practically all other games. Anyone's computer is eventually going to grind to a halt when you inject enough models/animations. It's also a unique genre, so what can we even compare it to? Or are you comparing w other TW games?
This game honestly impresses me with its ability to make all spells feel small and not that impactfull alone, yet still be bigger and more devastating the the biggest spells in other games
Check out Dragon's Dogma, where you're a single dude on the ground in an action RPG yet cast TWW-equivalent spells. Feels a lot more impactful when you're right there in it.

They do Nurgle a disservice here methinks - he's not about death at all, he's actually all about love and life. The problem is that he loves life so much, he loves it all it's forms. Those forms do include germs of course, but Nurgle loves all of life equally, whether it be a pretty pink unicorn or a festering pus filled disease ridden walking plague factory - in fact he might like the plague factory a bit more, as there's more life going on there with all the trillions of lovely germs and stuff.
Nah. This is a thing the fans have had on repeat amongst themselves but go read descriptions of Nurgle. He honestly has a lot of nihilism built into his demonic style. Yes their demeanor may look different but many mortals are there because they felt the cold embrace of death and were terrified to go into it. So Nurgle offered them a twisted perversion of perpetual decay. Mortals lose out on this exchange. They always do when it comes to the chaos gods. They just may feel on top for longer than others do. Nurgle is evil and needs mass amounts of death to do his concocting of disease to parasite off of the living. Yes he causes perpetual rebirth but the death part is far too underplayed by his fans. Which honestly is pretty appropriate given how his followers are.
I have mixed feelings about it. On one hand, it is lore friendly; on the other hand, seeing fields littered with dead bodies was one of the appeals of Total War games as you can see where the battle took place. I think a nice way to balance it would be for daemons to lose their gear on the spot where they died if they had any. Maybe a great Unclean One will drop his blade to the ground as the rest of him sizzles out of existence, or a Keeper of Secrets will lose his spear, shield and whatever else might have been on or in his/her/their person.

Since this is the first warhammer game with full complete slaneesh faction I'm more interested in a slaneesh video I gotta admit I like many of the slaneesh units designs especially the greater demon.
We really need to implement some Labour Inspection / safety audits for those poor sods moving Kugath's palanquin. I mean, they sure are happy to help their creator, but HE. SHOULD. NOT. JUMP. on this chair! 😱
ngl Slaanesh and Khorn feels almost the same you can just squint your eyes well enough and still be satisfied of whoever you'd end up picking after from the two
@@oscarstaszky1960 And looking so far....i dont think so. Reason is, Khorn got Warriors, Slaanesh got Marauders. Judging their performance of existing units....Khorn is gonna be 1000x easier and more enjoyable. I mean the Whip Marauder has at least a wooping 45 Meele defence while only having 15 armor...but the sword one only has 21. 15 Armor, 21 Meele defence. With such defense stats it doesnt matter how much dmg you deal...auto resolve is gonna be a nightmare, after every fight you have to wait turns to replenish and when you are outnumbered you basically lost by default. That could happen...so lets hope CA gets the balancing right. And yeh looking at Khorn stats that is certainly not gonna be a problem for him

It kinda concerns me how much we see chugging in these gameplay battle showcase videos... if that's what we're seeing on the rigs they feel are best to showcase this stuff on youtube... how optimized will the final product be? How many more polys and particles and whatnot are being added to TWWH3's graphics vs 2?
Yeah I like all the new units and stuff, but this framerate and choppiness is worrying at best. Total War games have never been amazing performance wise, but this doesn't look good.
I can already feel my PC crying in pain when I get to play this map, if even the preview here looks laggy then just imagine how it will play for most people.
@@alevort I don't know the reason but they announced that it was purposefully recorded a 30 fps which is about half the expected speed. Most likely has to do with there recording software

Nurgle is evil and needs mass amounts of death to do his concocting of disease to parasite off of the living. Yes he causes perpetual rebirth but the death part is far too underplayed by his fans. Which honestly is pretty appropriate given how his followers are.

I have mixed feelings about it. On one hand, it is lore friendly; on the other hand, seeing fields littered with dead bodies was one of the appeals of Total War games as you can see where the battle took place.
I think a nice way to balance it would be for daemons to lose their gear on the spot where they died if they had any. Maybe a great Unclean One will drop his blade to the ground as the rest of him sizzles out of existence, or a Keeper of Secrets will lose his spear, shield and whatever else might have been on or in his/her/their person.

Since this is the first warhammer game with full complete slaneesh faction I'm more interested in a slaneesh video I gotta admit I like many of the slaneesh units designs especially the greater demon.

ngl Slaanesh and Khorn feels almost the same you can just squint your eyes well enough and still be satisfied of whoever you'd end up picking after from the two

Reason is, Khorn got Warriors, Slaanesh got Marauders. Judging their performance of existing units....Khorn is gonna be 1000x easier and more enjoyable.
I mean the Whip Marauder has at least a wooping 45 Meele defence while only having 15 armor...but the sword one only has 21. 15 Armor, 21 Meele defence.
With such defense stats it doesnt matter how much dmg you deal...auto resolve is gonna be a nightmare, after every fight you have to wait turns to replenish and when you are outnumbered you basically lost by default.
That could happen...so lets hope CA gets the balancing right.
And yeh looking at Khorn stats that is certainly not gonna be a problem for him
For non-demons, doesn't fighting nurggle's army up close and personal means a 100% chance to get a fatal desease ?

Anyone else notice that the nurglings carrying Ku'gath were frozen and sliding at 4:43. I'm sure those things are annoying the animate.
It kinda concerns me how much we see chugging in these gameplay battle showcase videos... if that's what we're seeing on the rigs they feel are best to showcase this stuff on youtube... how optimized will the final product be? How many more polys and particles and whatnot are being added to TWWH3's graphics vs 2?
Yeah I like all the new units and stuff, but this framerate and choppiness is worrying at best. Total War games have never been amazing performance wise, but this doesn't look good.

@@alevort I don't know the reason but they announced that it was purposefully recorded a 30 fps which is about half the expected speed. Most likely has to do with there recording software

I really wanna see more of the mortals associated with the chaos gods. We saw some mortal Slaanesh dudes here and I'm wondering if there'll be more than just marked chaos marauders. I would love to see CA taking from AoS for inspiration for them.
No there won't - we already have the daemon faction rosters, except slaanesh, on the website.
