The Bible is very concerned with history-REAL history-and includes many historical markers and even chronologies. So discovering the biblical age of Earth is a matter of finding the relevant passages and doing some math!
We’ve done it for you in this article:
→ How does the Bible teach 6,000 years? creation.com/6000-years
And for the nerds among us, here’s a Journal of Creation article that dives into the chronological details so as to determine:

"The Bible is very concerned with history" so why half of it don't appear else where . Like Moses and exodos do not appear on Egyptians records , while bible state Moses was grown as the pharaoh brother

@@brunobastos5533 There's a very good reason for that. Basically it is well known that the Egyptians didn't record the names of their enemies, because they believed that would cause them to continue existing in the afterlife. And they certainly didn't record embarrassing episodes of history in which they were the losers! For more detail, see creation.com/egypt-chronology#hebrew-egyptian-writing We have written much about the overlap of Hebrew and Egyptian history. The above article is a good starting point.

The Bible does not teach a 6000 year old earth. That is a deduction made by counting years of lives listed in a genealogy. But is an erroneous assumption, because each successive name isn't necessarily the direct offspring of the previous person named, only a direct decendant.

Add the genealogy from Adam and Eve listed in Luke and Matthews gospel and you get slightly less than 4000 years from Adam to Christ and 2024 on the other side of Christ a bit less than 6000 years , and since in the creation sequence everything was created in 6 literal days including the universe the earth and mankind it's easy to calculate

If the seven day week wasn’t instituted on the first week of creation, when was it instituted? We have lunar cycles of the moon we have solar cycles of the sun we have eclipses, we also have transits of Mercury and Venus all recorded with days and dates. When you reverse their cycle timeline you get back to the year 0 of creation 6,000 years ago. This is the only time all these cycles eclipses and transits meet on the same date.

    • @histreeonics7770
      @histreeonics7770 10 หลายเดือนก่อน

Nonsense. None of those cycles are precise enough for your statement to have meaning. There are also false claims to deal with, such as the darkness at the crucifixion being an eclipse- it lasted far longer than any eclipse can and so was not an eclipse.
In Jewish lore there is the story of a man who decided that they had gotten the reckoning wrong and were off by a day or two (I don't remember which). He was challenged by the other scholars to carry his wallet and staff on their Sabbath. He did so and by that act of faith in his calculations they shifted the week to match his calculations. That lets us know that the calendar was tracked by scholars and such tracking was disrupted a number of times.
We have as much reason to accept the Mayan calendar as to accept yours.

What you describe is known as 'gap theory'. There are good reasons why it doesn't work. See creation.com/cab-3 (and the Related Articles section). The idea that there is more time (i.e. millions/billions of years) doesn't come from within the Bible itself, but is an external idea that people then try to fit into the Bible after the fact-and it brings problems with it. The Bible, on the other hand, affirms in Exodus 20:11 that, "For in six days the Lord made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that is in them, and rested on the seventh day."

God's power fades rapidly after Genesis. By the time of the invasion of Canaan he cannot manage to defeat humans with iron chariots. How do you get "God is powerful enough to create things leaving a record in the Earth that is contrary to his actions" given how little he can do after that week? Did he use up all his mojo such that he now needs humans to use our puny bodies to implement God's wishes?

Why reading the Bible leads to atheism:
God cares about your haircut. God cares about a flap of skin that he designed to protect the ends of penises, and wants you to cut it off. Why did he not design us to grow hair and foreskins to his preferences? The actual answer is that by enforcing differences from other cultures it was easier for the priests who came up with those rules (a thousand years after Moses) to keep the flock separated from those other cultures so as to continue to prey upon their flock. This is abusive spouses do to maintain control over their abused partner- keep them isolated from other people who might give them ideas about freedom.

The KJV is one of the least faithful to the ancient documents translations we have. The scholars had an agenda, and they had secondary and mostly fragmentary material to work with compared to what is available to modern scholars. English has changed enough since that time that one must check the meanings of many words, in effect one must translate it into modern English to be reading it as the people who wrote it intended. It is far better to use one of the one-step translations, rather than the two to 4 steps of the KJV (in addition to Latin translation of Greek translation of Hebrew they used French translations to guide their conversion of the Latin to English).

People try to apply that simile as if it were a metric to imperial conversion factor, but the text of Genesis I has "and there was an evening and a morning, the xxth day" which is the kind of phrase used by the vocabulary limited language of Hebrew to make clear how long a period of time is indicated by the word 'yom'.

@@histreeonics7770 and yom means day. So 1000 years representing one day is a wrong.

@@llll6581 yom was used for many different time concepts, not just day. We do this as well, for instance "Middles Ages", "Iron Age" et al. That is why one must look at the nearby phrases and overall thrust of the document to know which one to use in translation. For the six days of Genesis the word is disambiguated to mean diurnal cycle by the repeated phrase of "there was an evening and a morning, the xxth day ". The Biblical Hebrew vocabulary was only around 8000 words, covering the same concepts for which English has something like 24000 words.

One common thing to YEC types is the treating of similarity as equality, comparison as equality, big as infinite and small as exactly zero. Mathematical ineptitude is rampant even among their mathematicians.
