This video ROCKS!!! Such a simple concept, an entire vid of just GREAT POSES with GREAT FIGS! This SHF Vader is EASILY my favorite action figure in my entire collection!

This was a visual masterpiece from start to finish. 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽 But 7:47 is the main reason way I need the Black Series version of this. This is the one duel I cannot replicate because all the Battle damaged Vaders are gone here in the States. It seems as if no one wants to sell this figure.
Even greatness has its issues. We can really see how this release would have benefitted from a better neck joint and an accurate “throat piece” for both helmet sculpts. So much of his expressiveness (and fearsome attitude) comes from the head tilting and looking slightly upper. Still the best helmet sculpt for the scale, no debate. There’s room for improvement. If they can retool it and adapt the whole thing for a proper RotJ version (or even RotS), I will be very happy.
These are the kind of figures I'd dream of as a kid. But back then, the technology, and the high detail sculpting? Just wasn't that great. The major toy companies never took an overly long amount of time to churn out things like this, and if they did? It cost WAY too damn much. Can you imagine if we had stuff like this, back when we were kids? Imagine where toys, and all kinds of things would be NOW.
Oh man, I remember having all those old TMNT and MOTU figures. Toys from back then can't compare to what we are getting today. They have a nostalgia value but in terms of sculpt and articulation they were really bad. It's amazing what we are getting now.
@@ActionDisplayChannel absolutely agree with the nostalgia factor. I had all the old school TMNT, and also those weird biker mice 🤣. I can't remember their names! But yeah, the stuff we have now, is 1000 miles ahead in design, detail, and articulation.
I have mine on order, but happy to see this. I own a few ESB helmets with screen use legacy and I can say that this helmet sculpt is the most accurate Vader figure helmet sculpt to date (Jan. 2024). I can't confirm since I don't have a Hot Toys 12 inch, but form photos, this surpasses. My only issue with it from what I can tell is the cape. Although I like it, the scale of the stitching kills the proper scale aesthetic. Thanks again and enjoy! 👍🙏 Lastly, the music took me back to the 80s. 😂🤘🎸
The helmet is probably the best ever made in this scale. I get thet it looks strange but it's because of the way that the part of the cape around the neck is designed. There is actually a wire in that part that makes the cape lift up a bit.

I think the hilt is meant to be oriented so that the emitter is angled back so the effect looks proper
