Thank you soo much for details on the description ma'am. Your videos motivates me to be focused on learning veena and practice everyday. I'm really grateful to your channel 🙂
'Watch and Play along' including students +zoomed in screen with detailing + rendering in 2 tempos + Mohanam is a great outcome. Great start with varnam series.
Very nicely done in such a way everyone can see the talam, finger techniques, and also the speed. Congratulations to Jay and Akshath. Thanks so much mam 🙏
Thx you so much for giving me this opportunity to be a part of this project and also pushing me to play at that speed which I have only able to achieved because of you. You inspire me each and everyday maam.
Namaskaram mam! This is so nicely planned and rendered. The zoom in feature is a fantastic idea to observe the thalam and the fingering details. With tempo 150, from 4:50 min ,its a treat to watch the sync among the three of you! Lot of practice must have gone in for this flawless rendition. These videos are so inspiring and motivating to learn. The intro video on varnams, your detailed description here and this watch and play is so comprehensive and already a success! Best wishes to your students! Thank you so much for your efforts mam!
I donno how many times i listened to this Mohana Varam.. its fantabulas Maam.. The backgroud mrudhangam beat is that App Maam?. If Yes, please could you let us know which app is it.
I know you have a different name, but I choose to call you Saraswati devi madam. Request more episodes on how to develop rhythmic sense for instrumentalists. (I have watched your other episodes on rhythm laya, but I request yo u to upload more
@@malaviswanathanthanks for your reply Devi. Yes, I really want to develop thalam as a habit (as you always say). If you can maybe play a pallavi (rtp) and teach thalam through that, as in how to remember where to put thalam etc, I think it might be useful. If it is a slightly complex tala then even better.
Excellent ma’am.. please share link if you have done with tutorials for this Mohanam varnam.. so far listened to abhogi varnam and still practicing it to make perfect.. it’s really helpful … Thanks ma’am

Mam neenga vasikra madri smooth varla. Cut cut a vardhu. Enna pannanum mam. Or konjanal vasikrapo vandhuduma?
A lot of work goes into observing you hand and the pressures. Your guru will have to guide you
Mam i m not getting smoothness while playing. I m learning for one year and more. What is to be done?? Or it will come automatically??
The smoothness will come if you understand how much to press your hands on the veena. watch the pressure you give.
Ok mam. But hv to give hard or soft press?
Madam where do you stay.. Can you teach me personally
I don't do personal teaching at this time.
Ma'am will you teach us Darbari Kanada, please?
Thanks, will try
