The spending bill that was rejected yesterday included $3 million for inspecting molasses. It also included removing the word, "Criminal", for legal proceedings/ documents to a new phrase, "Justice-Involved-Individuals." So go ahead and let the government shut down until they clean up their act.
The American people couldn't care less that it would effect 70k government employees in HI, or the 3 million total gov. employees. Shut it down until this stupid spending ends.
I wonder how many of those 70,000 workers work hard and need their paychecks, and now their families won't have a happy holiday season because of this...I empathize with their plight.
And why didn't she fight for funding for the Maui fire people before? And did she complain about how the Trump supporter in the hurricane were treated by this administration.

According to a couple of my close relatives that work in the federal government in Washington DC the last time we had a shut down their paychecks never stopped coming

@@riverflyswatter they may briefly stop but they will all get backpay if that is the case, I was a Fed for 17 years, we always got paid.
I agree that they need to straighten up their act but we pay them to do a job so they need to either go to work every day, just like I have to, or they can go home with out pay!!!!

Hey Kamal can't control money we saw how she spent over a billion on campaign but short 20 million(debt). Call Janet Y. tell her print some money , it's not backed by anything anyway so what's the biggie !! If " full faith in the government " yeah that's a joke 🤣🤣🤣🤣
I think that we need a law that states that if congress cannot pass a budget in time, none of them are eligible for reelection. In the real world if you don't do your job, then you get fired.
Problem with that is they will pass anything then whether it is good or not. They need to lose their jobs if they cannot pass a balanced budget with a reduction of 10% from the last years bill and it must have a way to reduce the national deficit by 5% the following year.
@66Cardiff Sure. While they're at it, they could also solve the Riemann hypothesis, fix world hunger, dispose of all nuclear weapons, bring peace to the Gaza strip, and fix the US Healthcare system. Stick to baby steps and reasonable expectations, sport.
Tune in to another episode of the Dog & Pony Show! Guess what's behind door number One. Is it a shut down?! How about door number Two? Congress gets a raise! Wow! Door number Three ... you don't want to know.

Last i checked, IRS employees owe 50 million collectively. Go collect from them.
Wonder how many of those 70,000 employees don’t report to the office but stay home and are not needed anyway?
They would not be missed.
