Unboxing, a trim saw review and giveway - this rock video has it all! Kate receives her new Covington powerfeed trim saw. After a tough time getting it out of the package, she cuts her first slab on the new machine, trims it to size and makes a cabochon from the beautiful striped jasper stone. The stone will be given away, along with a copy of Kate's book, "So Many Beautiful Rocks," on Sunday, Nov. 27, 2022 just before her weekly video at 5 Mountain time. Be sure to subscribe, and watch the video for details!

KatyDid ROCKS! has been making videos on TH-cam for more than three years. Her aim is to show people the excitement and wonder of finding rocks and exploring the natural world, while educating through example. Along with rockhounding on this channel, Kate works on improving her lapidary skills and learning as much as she can about her many interests, including opal cutting, silversmithing and wire wrapping.
Keep watching - and you'll want to "keep on doing!"

Your new saw is amazing, I bet you love it! I would really love to see the sunshine and a rockhounding video but since we have so much snow... I also love it when you do the "What's inside?" videos and cut a bunch of those beauties! The cutting and cabbing videos you do are really cool and fun too. Thanks for sharing Kate!✌️🤠🤘

I am a new subscriber even though I have been living vicariously through your videos for a long while now. I never knew I had a bucket list until I started watching your videos, and now I really want to rock hound the Yellowstone. I am from Indiana so I collect rocks and fossils from creeks and surrounding farm fields. Anyway, I find the different colors of jasper to be fascinating, so maybe some cabs in that material would be cool. I like them all though, so I am not picky. Thank you for what you post.

I'm liking the new saw! I'm jealous. Personally, I'd love to see more lapidary videos. I really want to see some thunder eggs being made into cabochons!!! I love your channel. Keep on doin'!!!

Hi Katy and Mr. Did! We follow all of your videos and of all the rockhounding videos out there, I can honestly say, yours are our favorite. Love your new trim saw and would love to see more of what’s inside these smaller ones. We are in Michigan and envy all the agates you find here. You and Mr. Did are funny, down to earth people and I wouldn’t miss an episode of the Katy and Jim Show! 😂. ❤ Gods Blessings!

Nice new saw you have there. You should invite Jared (Currently Rockhounding) to search the Montana Agates for Iris Agate. I know he would love to find some (as would most of us). Then show us how to polish it to get the Iris to display.

Hey Kate! I've consider getting a Covington trim saw but I'm worried about the oil spraying all over my garage. How messy was the saw? I'd love to see a stone go from the being found stage, all the way to a finished piece. Also I have hundreds of beautiful tumbles stone in large bowls about my house. Ideas about what to do with all these stones would be very welcome. Thanks! Keep on doing!

1st off you did a Bob Ross you had a happy accident. You ended up with a cab or even a necklace both good choice. And for a challenge take and slice 1 of your Spencer opals to see if you can get lucky and hit right spot and hit Sparkly opals area. Good luck thanks Ray 😊

Love seeing the new saw. Would like to hear about some of your finds after the floods this year. You may already have videos but I’m a new subscriber and haven’t looked back.
