SHORE BAPTIST CHURCH (Near Todmorden)

Standing high on the wind swept pennines overlooking the West Yorkshire town of Todmorden stands this now dissused Baptist Church at Shore. Borrowing heavily from a film I made with my late father in the 1970`s, this short film shows recent footage along with flashbacks at various points as I remember the activities when we were filming.The main church building in the 70`s had been deemed beyond economical repair due to dry rot, so the adjoining school premises had to serve for all activities.
This is the only known film record of this church in its active days, showing members, freinds and just a few of the many activities which then taken place. The original film " A church year at Shore "is still very much alive today and is now available on DVD for any interested individuals.
