Ah Melodious, just like Yuzu in the show; they get NTRed out of their support when Yuzu stopped dueling altogether in the show after she lost to Sergei (minus the Link monster form LiNK VRAINS Pack 3). Hoping the Light legendary duelist pack will give them the proper support they deserved after being kicked out of the support cycle of Arc-V.
You might want to try out Speedroids. They are pretty strong and actually easy to learn to use. If you have not gotten Master Duel yet then get it as it is an amazing game. It is also free.
Personally I loved using Lunalights. I’m a veteran Yugioh player but they’re so easy and are capable of fusion, Xyz, link and Pendulum. But if you wanna run synchros I’m sure they’ll be good too in the deck
Other fun fact, TamTam does not synergize with Bloom Diva in the real life card game as well as you’d think it would, because unlike the anime, which bases the damage off of Bloom Diva’s current attack, the real life Bloom Diva unfortunately only bases the damage off of the *original* attack. Yes, you still get to burn your opponent for 500 from TamTam’s effect, and yes, Bloom Diva doesn’t care how low its attack goes, but the Bloom Diva portion of the burn does not get affected by TamTam
Hard to believe it's already been a whole year since Nova did Amazons Explained for Delaila's birthday last year. And yet it feels like it was only yesterday.
Melodious main issue is that they don't really have a gameplan. As a control variant, they just sit on the classic Aria/Elegy combo and hope for the best. As an otk variant, their main plan is to summon Bloom Prima and attack with Sonata's and Score/Honest's support. These 2 variants, however, are flawed by the deck inability to plus and/or search combo pieces and by the huge amounts of resources wasted to build a decent board. Therefore, while a search card is absolutely needed to increase consistency, other cards are necessary to give the deck a more precise direction and an actual win condition they can consistently stick to

What melodious deck needs the most is searchable cards since they are lacking in accessible search card from the deck... Konami should make new 1 Copy of another Songstress and 1 Copy of Maestra (Both are pendulum) and a new Spell Card for melodious. Lvl 4 Melodious Songstress Lvl 6 Melodious Maestra Normal Spell Card The effect of Scale Songstress should be "Searchable Melodious card" (Which means you can search Ostinato or 1st Movement Solo) And the effect of Scale Maestra should be "Searchable Melodious Monster from deck to Hand" which means you can search the pendulum songstress or any melodious card you need On the other effect The songstress Effect is "If this card was special summon. Add any 1 Fusion Card from deck to your hand" (That means you can get Flash Fusion, or Super Poly from deck to hand) And the maestra's effect is "Once per turn, You can send 1 card from the Top of your deck, Special Summon 1 Melodious Monster from Deck to your field." The spell card I thought that complement with melodious is "Crescendo" which basically has a 2 effects. 1. Discard 1 card, Add 2 Melodious card from deck to your hand. 2. During any others turn. If this card is in the Graveyard (Except the turn it sends there), You can banish this card from the graveyard, All melodious monster doubles its Atk power until the end of the Turn. But you can't use any Spell card until your next turn. If this cards actually created maybe Melodious can Fight Equally in the current decks... Also the effect of the Songstress is justices the 2 melodious card which is Soprano (The Monster Fusion) and Tamtam (which searches for poly). Because of its requirement condition it really hard to summon both at the same time and lack of power to search them. Sorry for the long comment🙇🙇

This theme is very near and dear to my heart too. Lots of absolute tomfoolery ensues once you summon off of Harmonist, including the everpresent Score. Going first, try to wall up on your classic duet. Going second, summon your entire hand and otk. As long as they don't interrupt your Ostinato, Transmodify, or Harmonist, you can pull it off. Melodious for sure was one of my fav decks during the Arc V era. This was when I started playing again and I watched the anime all the way through. I hope one day they get some good support coming soon.

My silly tech pick is amano iwato, you can make the link winthout normal summon, then use shopinna effect to return a fairy, whicht will make amano stay on field because it cant use the effect to return to hand

As a musician, this is my absolute favorite deck of all time, it’s a lot of fun to use and I just wish they would add more cards to duel links to support it.
The archetype that almost is... I have used them with Trickstars for more versatility and as a contingency for battle heavy enemies. The type and attribute is great and the melodious maestras have strong effects. Its a shame that the other main deck monsters dont have reliable ways to special summon themselves. The link monster does help a little but is vulnerable.
Another tech option I've used in my Melodious Deck is Transmodify. Being able to turn level 4's into Elegy after their effects have been used and puts a little extra in the grave for future use.
This is an absolute must and heavily overshadows Downbeat. Sonata into Aria/Soprano Any Level 4 into Elegy Ostinato into a Maestra. Just basically a solid extender more than you'd ever think.

Hey Delilah as a birthday present I present you a birthday nuclear missile strike on either The Doktor who is responsible for introducing Yuzu and her counterparts to Parasite Fusioner or who’d come up that dumb plot twist for her in the ARC V manga
All it would take to fix this deck, is a melodious card that provides some manner of negation. that's it. the entire deck is already insanely protected, having one or two effects that can prevent the few answers available (AKA things like zeus and evenly matched) would put the deck far higher up as far as meta goes.
I hope we get more sub-archetype fusions. We have 2 Fusions that require Maestras, which are both Choirs, but there are no Fusions that requires "Melodious Diva"s, "Melodious Choir"s, etc which is a bit unfortunate - as it would really help set Melodious apart from Lunalights are it'd reflect a different kind of fusion climbing (instead of using Fusions to summon stronger Fusions, you use different, pseudo-specific monsters - including Fusions - as ingredients to make different Fusions to handle certain situations).

@@chrispambo1539 I doubt that; mostly existed as a Crystal Wing engine and pairs well with Speedroid. Lyrilusc has all the same Wind attribute benefits and supports some highly powerful decks. As for pure builds, Lunalight might be the most singularly strong, but I might be mistaken.
For those curious most of the tech cards mentioned such as Valhalla, and Athena were used back when the deck first came out and are extremely questionable choices to run in the modern game. Besides the trickstar and herald packages the only thing really worth considering would be the condemned witch engine.

Love Melodious...wish they had more. Other cards I ran in this deck were Tethys, Athena, Honest, Trade-in, Celestial Transformation, and Photon Lead. Extra deck had Vylon Disigma, Ragnazero/infinity, and (Dark) fairy cheer girl.
I’m sure Everyone’s noticed this already. But This Deck (other than Raid Raptors and Phantom Knights) doesn’t Have ANY Pendulum Cards!!! And what’s worst is that YURI, the very douchebag who scared her out of dueling, is getting his own set of Predaplant Pendulum Cards! That is some bulls*it! When you think about it.

You talk about Condemned Darklord, but completely forget to mention Condemned Witch, one of the best normal summons you can give to this deck and definitely a reason to turn it towards a control strategy xD More seriously... Why do they keep making every new Melodious support card flawed on purpose? Why isn't Briliant Rose natively treated as a Melodious monster in addition of Gem-Knight monster?? You can't use its special summon effect, otherwise you lock yourself out of Bloom Harmonist! And Bloom Harmonist itself... God this card has so many issues I could (and did) write an entiere article about it ._.
They literally might as well give them broken cards sacred beast support, might as well give them a burn fusion monster. Being locked into them wouldn’t be terrible if they had viable options instead of useless fusions
my own silly tech pick just due to the RP i was part of would have to be Darklord Desire for getting a large body on the field easily that can stomp opponent cards with just simple targetting removal. not the best synergy, but its still fun to pull off from my own experience use First Movement Solo to bring out Serenade to get their effect online, tribute summon Mozarta via Serenade, use Mozarta's effect to get a monster on the field, then because Desire's thing is a normal summon and not a special, you can easily tribute only one of your melodius (the one summoned by Mozarta) to get the body on board with no issues also gotta give props to Tethys, Goddess of Light as a Heart of the Underdog on legs for Fairies as a whole
I'm that one guys that played melodious at locals for years, nobody ever knows what they are or what they do, especially in master duel. Definitely my most played deck.

This one and Phantom Knights are My current duel links decks, and Yuzu is one of My favorite ygo characters (at least for the durantion that she has agency) si I am happy to see this. (P.s. how about Pphantom Kinght explained?)
I was just thinking about trying it. The only issue their attribute differences, which could conflict with Shopina, but it's a pendulum fairy archetype, which is exactly what the melodious deck needs, more ways to special summon.
the only problem with melodious that they dont have any on hand searchers yes they can be easily sp. summoned by thelatest fairy supports but they cant really do anything if your opening hands are bricks and garnets

Ah yes, A combo deck with no recursion, a fusion deck that can barely fusion, and a beat down deck that struggles to put game up against an empty field. Also i found ultra polymerization pretty good. You fuse then resummon the materials then link into the link monster which can then special 2 from deck

Fun fact, TamTam is programmed incorrectly in duel links. The attack drop only lasts until the end of the turn when it should normally be permanent.
It is permanent I think...unless they changed the effect since I last used it. When I used her effect, the drop was permanent.

@@pokeperson1000 I’m saying that in duel links, the drop has always been permanent for as long as I’ve been playing, which to be fair is only a couple of years, so if it wasn’t permanent before, they have fixed it now.

Love Melodious...wish they had more. Other cards I ran in this deck were Tethys, Athena, Honest, Trade-in, Celestial Transformation, and Photon Lead. Extra deck had Vylon Disigma, Ragnazero/infinity, and (Dark) fairy cheer girl.
I’m sure Everyone’s noticed this already. But This Deck (other than Raid Raptors and Phantom Knights) doesn’t Have ANY Pendulum Cards!!!
And what’s worst is that YURI, the very douchebag who scared her out of dueling, is getting his own set of Predaplant Pendulum Cards! That is some bulls*it! When you think about it.

You talk about Condemned Darklord, but completely forget to mention Condemned Witch, one of the best normal summons you can give to this deck and definitely a reason to turn it towards a control strategy xD
More seriously... Why do they keep making every new Melodious support card flawed on purpose? Why isn't Briliant Rose natively treated as a Melodious monster in addition of Gem-Knight monster?? You can't use its special summon effect, otherwise you lock yourself out of Bloom Harmonist! And Bloom Harmonist itself... God this card has so many issues I could (and did) write an entiere article about it ._.
They literally might as well give them broken cards sacred beast support, might as well give them a burn fusion monster. Being locked into them wouldn’t be terrible if they had viable options instead of useless fusions

my own silly tech pick just due to the RP i was part of would have to be Darklord Desire for getting a large body on the field easily that can stomp opponent cards with just simple targetting removal. not the best synergy, but its still fun to pull off from my own experience
use First Movement Solo to bring out Serenade to get their effect online, tribute summon Mozarta via Serenade, use Mozarta's effect to get a monster on the field, then because Desire's thing is a normal summon and not a special, you can easily tribute only one of your melodius (the one summoned by Mozarta) to get the body on board with no issues
also gotta give props to Tethys, Goddess of Light as a Heart of the Underdog on legs for Fairies as a whole

I never considered the Elegy/CT combo when playing them. Photon Lead is also a very good kickstart for any first time Melodious players
I'm that one guys that played melodious at locals for years, nobody ever knows what they are or what they do, especially in master duel. Definitely my most played deck.
Great video considering the Melodious archetype is one of my favorite archetypes. If I can ask for it, can you talk about the Draco/True Draco archetype?
Melodious are the only Arc V that actually could use Pendulums so they can get their Special Summon Effects.
This one and Phantom Knights are My current duel links decks, and Yuzu is one of My favorite ygo characters (at least for the durantion that she has agency) si I am happy to see this.

I was just thinking about trying it. The only issue their attribute differences, which could conflict with Shopina, but it's a pendulum fairy archetype, which is exactly what the melodious deck needs, more ways to special summon.

I used to play melodious with eva and the herald handtraps long before drytron got her banned and now I'm pissed.
I have played Melodious and it's a fun little casual deck. It's definitely annoying if you don't know how to deal with it
the only problem with melodious that they dont have any on hand searchers yes they can be easily sp. summoned by thelatest fairy
supports but they cant really do anything if your opening hands are bricks and garnets

Ah yes, A combo deck with no recursion, a fusion deck that can barely fusion, and a beat down deck that struggles to put game up against an empty field. All based around a gimmick that was hideously outdated when it came out. And for some reason I've been playing them since 2016. Thanks konami balance team.
